• Temperature effects–
microorganism)
– Left behind species…
– Long life cycle / slow dispersal
– Some species are vulnerable “nowhere to go”
– Plant genetic composition “selection pressure”
– Plant communities some are lost or adapt (different rates)
– Increased invasions by alien species

Consequences(ผลทีเกดิตามมาจากลาํไสอ้กัเสบ)
• Non- specific enteritis or dysbacteriosis (ภาวะลาํไสเ้สยีสมดลุ)– Overgrowth of bacteria (intestine and environment)
• Wet litter and wet dropping
• Foot pad dermatitis (ฝ่าเทา้เป็นแผล)
• Sub-clinical necrotic enteritis
• Coccidiosis

• Foot-pad dermatitis
• Reduce growth rate

Wet dropping & wet litter(ปัจจยัสาเหตถุา่ยเหลว)
• Causing factors (สาเหตุปัจจยั)
1. Pathogens (bacteria, viruses, parasites) (เชื อกอ่โรค)
• Bacterial infection
• Parasites Eimeria spp or worms
2. Nutrition (โภชนะ)
3. Management (การจดัการ)
• Hot Climate
• Poor ventilation

Wet dropping & wet litter
Nutrition factors– High intake of minerals : Na, Chlorine, Sulfur, Potassium
– Excess salt in feed
– Poor quality dietary fat
– Some feed ingredients (high non starch polysaccharides, NSP)
• increase viscosity of the gut
• hold water ( 1 g NSP: 10 ml water)
– Mold produced aflatoxin, ochratoxin
• irritate intestinal tract

Intestinal dysbacteriosis
31
Diagnosis of dysbacteriosis
1. Wet dropping (ถ่ายเหลว)
3. Direct staining (gram stain) (การยอ้มส)ี
4. Bacterial culture (การเพาะเชื อ)
5. Molecular analysis

Dysbacteriosis: Lesions
• Ballooning
• Loss of intestinal tone
• Watery contents
• Excessive production of mucus
• Thickening or thinness of the gut wall
• Inflamed GALT (Peyer’s Patches)
• Hemorrhage, Ulcer
• Feed Passage, excess bile, diarrhea
• Necrotic enteritis
• Ect…

Necrotic Enteritis (NE)
• Caused by Clostridium perfringens (CP)
• NE has been seen in 2 forms– Acute, clinical NE
Rare case, clinical signs with moderate to high mortality
– Subclinical NE
More common, poor performance
• Gizzard erosions
• Gangrenous dermatitis

Necrotic enteritis
• Opportunistic infection (การตดิเชื อฉกฉวยโอกาส)
• Experimentally, NE lesions are hardly reproducible
• Risk factors for NE
– Damaged intestinal mucosa (ผวิลําไสเ้กดิบาดแผล)
– Immunosuppressive conditions (ภาวะกดภูมกินั)
