The repentance we Ilced is to turn from our idea that because of all Ollr sillS (acts of transgression) God is going to !lhut tiS out of hl·an·n. You rcali zt: what a sinner you arc and ha\'e be('n, and see ing how ung- ratcful and disobedient you ha\'e been, you cry out in tl"llt repentance, " 1 truly rl'pent toward my past stubborn, sclfri,l:'htcotls self -natur<.", as well as my acts of disobediencC'. Forgi\'c my sins. [acccpt Thy gift of cternal life."

Repentance is the work o f an instant. It prohably will he the culmination of many forces which God has been using io briug you to the place of repentance . There may be SOtTle great danger or di saster which has made \'ou think about where you will spend cte;nit)'. You may have gotten into a tight place. Your failure, perfidy or sin may have been found out. You may ha\'e been brought under increasing convict ion through the preachill~ of-the \Yord, reading the Bihie, or the constant faithful witncssing of same friend; and sorrow may have filled your heart fo r days, w('eks or months. But these things are not repentance. H owever, they LEAD to re· pcntancc, and as a climax to any such series of conditions. the time comes when you finally, dermitel), and positively, once for all, settle it. YOli TUR::-.1 from your own ways, from your sin and unbel ief, and ca ll on the Lord for forgiveness. You TURN to God. This act is your repentance !

Let me illustrate it. You may have steered a boat. The lnoment YOli decide

It Illay take a minute. or ~e\'e ral minutes, or in the C1.se of a great steamer, <;ollle time to fully turn the whole boat. But the moment you, as the skipper. turn the rudder, that governs the boat. True repentance is the work of your will in turning the course of your life toward God.

\V hile an instantaneous work, its results fill a lifetime. Faith will follow repentance. i\rany people say they wish they had faith Jesus said to the Jews, speaking of John and his preaching, ,lYe.. repented not afterward. that ye might bclit:vc him." Matt. 21 :32. Again in Mark I :15 He said, "I~epent ye, and belicve the gospel," and Paul <;aid that he preached to the Ephesians "repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord J esus Christ." This hrings I1S to al10ther point. T believe that repentance should also be practiced by Christians, who ha\'c sinned. Especially in snch cascs, n::pcntance should be preecded and accompanicd by sorrow for the sin committed. Rcmem~ her the Corinthians. The "refiner's fire and fllller's soap" prophesied by :\falachi really makes the li\·cs of those who repent clean. The heart-clcansing work reflects 11l a life that is cit-an and glorifies God, and makes men know what God has dOlle in the heart. "By their fruits ye shall know them."

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA, l.ast year we conducted a city-wide union revi"al campaign with the purpose of making it an annual affair. God blessed our efforts in sa,·ing many ~otlls, filling belicvers with the Iloly Spirit, and giving us fa"or with the flC<lple. We believe that we ga\·e the city the message it needed: "Back to the Bible" and " Il oliness unto the Lord." Otto]. Klink, Opa-Locka, Florida, was the Evangelist.

This year we purchased a 6Oxl50 tent equilJlJCd with a public addrcss system and started an all·~ul11mer city-wide revival campaign.
