The Department of Science & Humanities was established in the year 2009 with

sanctioned intake of 720 students. The Department of Science and Humanities as an

underpinning Department encompasses of four major disciplines such as Chemistry,

English, Mathematics and Physics. Faculty members of this Department have opulent varied

experiences in teaching as well as in research. The pivotal focus is to provide pedestal in

basic sciences that acts as a foundation for engineering subjects. All the first year students

are administrated with parental care through mentorship. The results of I year B.E students

are way ahead since from the inception of the college. In addition to the regular teaching, the

Department is quite active in conducting Workshops, Seminars and Faculty Development

Programs to create awareness and vigor in students as well as teachers. Apart from

teaching, the Department takes a prominent role to imbibe leadership qualities, personality

development, soft skills etc. through various clubs.

Physics Lab: The State-of-the-art laboratory with latest equipment provides a

conducive environment for learning, beyond the scope of syllabus. It provides a platform for

the students to carry out their projects and faculty to pursue research.

Chemistry Lab: The Laboratory is constructed in a spacious environment which is well

equipped with sophisticated equipment and instruments. It has a unique advantage in its

ability to maintain research programs in a wide variety of chemical disciplines. Students

work on many projects that cross the traditional lines of chemistry, ranging from nano

chemistry and surface science in connection with the environment.

Communication Skills Lab: A well-furnished lab with 66 computers and a Self-

Learning Software to develop language skills. It also aims to enhance the personality of the
