Verena  Reichenbach    A   jewellery   designer   born   in   Switzerland,   Verena  Reichenbach  made  Berlin  her  city  of  training,  Italy  her  home,  and  Africa  her   inspira<on.   In  Berlin,   the  capital  of  European  culture  that  is  constantly  in  upheaval,  she  surrounded  herself  with  ar<st  and  intellectual  friends  and  discovered  her  passion  for   working   with   her   hands.   She   designed   and   created  clothes,  accessories,  and  ar<san  design  furniture.  Then   came   her   numerous   trips   to   Africa,   where   she   was  enthralled   by   the   ancient   and   extremely   modern   tribal  aesthe<cs,  the  powerful  nature,  and  sense  of  colour.  In  Italy,  and  above  all  Rome,   she   immersed  herself   in   the  beauty  of  architecture  and  the  arts.   In  Milan  where  she  now  lives  and  works,   the   city   of   design,   fashion,   and   fast-‐paced   life,   her  passion  for  jewellery  was  born  and  took  shape.    Throughout  her  journey  as  an  ar<st  and  designer,  Verena  has  studied   and   experimented  with   various  materials,   including  precious  wood,  ivory,  gold,  and  silver.  She  shapes  pieces  with  fantas<c,   abstract   forms   and   she   uses   new   welding  techniques.    In   2011,   Verena   Reichenbach   began   her   adventure   with  acrylic.   She   has   fully   liberated   her   crea<vity   by   using   this  adaptable   and   accessible   material.   She   applies   jewellery-‐making   techniques   to   sculpture,   reinven<ng   it,   moulding  sinuous  forms  with  unique  light  effects.  She   tours   the   world   with   her   jewellery,   exhibi<ng   it   and  taking   part   in   sector   and   design   trade   fairs   from   Milan   to  Tokyo  and  New  York.
