S u b se q u e n tly , m o d ific a tio n s w e re d e ve lo p e du tiliz in g th e g a s tr ic tu b e te ch n iq u e [8 -14 ]. In th e 1 9 7 0 s ,H e im lich [1 5 , 1 6 ] re p o rte d h is 1 5 y e a r e xp e rie n c e w ithth e re ve rse d g a s tric tu b e.
