Overview Alchemi is a data platform that takes a full-lifecycle approach for unstructured data by creating a virtual file overlay to physical file systems, regardless of location or quantity. Alchemi enables you to discover, organize, manage, collaborate, protect, visualize and analyze content. Transforming what was created for one purpose and reason into something of higher value and greater use.

Challenge Users and applications alike are generating, accessing and sharing files on a daily basis creating a constantly changing universe of content that is stored in a variety of locations from the traditional network file systems to local laptops and cloud storage providers. Most of this content has limited value past initial use; however, some can contain intellectual property, classified material or other high-risk components such as Personal Identifiable Information (PII). The challenge is how to identify, classify and manage this content across the ever-changing data sphere.

Solution The answer to this challenge is a solution that sits above all file data, creating a unified virtual view, which describes the universe of content yet, leaves the physical data where it sits - the answer is Alchemi. Platform Alchemi provides a suite of powerful solutions leveraging our Content-Anywhere Architecture, which are deployable as stand-alone solutions or in combination depending on the organization needs and requirements.

DATA PROTECTION (DP) − Simple, flexible and secure data protection and archiving supporting multi-targets locally, on the network or in the cloud. Easy single-click restore of file content administrated centrally or by the individual user. Data reduction through single instancing with data retention policies per protected copy.

ENTERPRISE CONTENT MANAGEMENT (ECM) − A modern approach to ECM providing data capture, management, preservation and delivery of content wrapped in next generation access controls. Alchemi delivers ECM through its ‘Collections’, which enable users to collaborate on content in virtual file shares (no physical file movement) with integrated messaging and chat boards, mobile app notifications as well as the ability to lock and upload new file versions.

DATA INTELLIGENCE (DI) – Alchemi goes beyond the basic data layer to extract any content or metadata stored within files, enhancing metadata through automated and manual tagging processes and providing a set of powerful data visualization analytics and tools – customizable with a user defined taxonomy.

VIRTUAL FILE SERVICES (VFS) – Alchemi offers a suite of virtual file services replacing corporate point solutions for network files shares, FTP servers and file sync & share solutions.
