I have more than 10 years of experience in merchandise planning, buying and inventory management. I have good cammunication skills which enables me to coordinate with the different stake holders of the business to aachive the vest possible results.
In my position, it is my responsibility to maintain and update various assortment sheets and brand metrics and to prepare and process all purchase orders for the brand. I also monitor all purchase orders and ensured delivery within the set timeframe. Other responsibilities included preparing and maintaining various sales reports on a weekly basis and monitoring the inventory and allocating the appropriate styles of stock for same. I overlook the consolidation of products, review slow sellers and depreciated items to be marked down and also the profitability of any promotions launched.
I also prepare and update the Open To Buy (OTB) and manage the reconciliation of all invoices and purchase orders to ensure appropriate documentation. Further to the above I also monitor all damaged goods and returns by customers and manufacture defects as well as preparing weekly sales reports for distribution in the organization.

Working as Assistant Merchandise Planning Manager from 2008 in Al Ghurair Retail LLC for Springfield, Prenatal and Boux Avenue.
Responsibilities-
The key role of a merchandiser is to achieve the maximum sell through for each product bought at full price. This is achieved by allocating each product to the store/s with the highest potential of selling it. It involves analyzing past data and processing and keeping up to date on current fashion trends. I was also actively involved in the buying process and have participated in the seasonal buy on regular basis.
Preparing the regular buy plans and mangling the OTB. Placing the the regular orders and based on current stock on
hand and sales. Planning the product allocation based on sale history buy
store and budget. Monitoring the sell through by category and taking the
appropriate action on time.. Planning the and executing the annual sale and promotion
based on retail calender. Preparing the seasonal sale budget and monthly sales budget. Preparing monthly target for stores. Communicating the regional market and product requirement
with brand principle. Pricing the the new lines based on market and competition,
same time making sure to hit the business plan profit. Making sure discount spent is under the discount budget. Planning and monitoring periodic stock audits. Monitoring sales vs stock in order to avoid the over stock
situation.
Monitoring the margin on regular basis and adjusting the product mix in the stores to maintain the planned margin
Monitoring the stock levels by category and taking immediate action in case of excess stock situation.
Managing the team of merchandise planners. Communicating best and worst seller with store, visual
merchandising and marketing team. Motivating the team members and building strong relationship
with every team member to make sure every one works as part of team not as a individual.
Communicating with stores and making sure to pass their requirement to higher management and brand principles.
Planning the opening stock and stock mix for the new stores. Sale and discount forecast based on past sales and current
market trend. Visiting the sores in GCC on regular basis to have in store
product experience and to understand the market. Planning regular inter store transfers based on in store sell
through. Regular visit to brand principles for buying and training.
