ESPECTROSCOPIA
La espectroscopia es el estudio de la luz como una función de la longitud de onda que se ha emitido, reflejado o dispersado desde un sólido, líquido o gas (USGS Spectroscopy Lab)
Espectroscopia de imágenes= sensores remotos hiperespectrales.

• En sensors remotos :~0.4 a 1.0-µm VNIR (visible-near-infrared), 1.0 a 2.5-µm SWIR (short-wave infrared).

Factores que afectan la respuestaespectral
• Morfología de la hoja
• Estado fenológico
• Especie, variedad, densidad de siembra
• Características de las copas
• Tipo de hoja y parte de la hoja
• Estado nutricional, pigmentos, riego, plagas, enfermedades.
• Manejo: podas, aplicación de insumos

ALGUNAS INVESTIGACIONES REALIZADAS
• Estado nutricional de las plantas: arroz, maíz, banano, coca, otros.
• Detección temprana de enfermedades: papa, uchuva.
• Calidad de frutos de agraz

CONCLUSIONES
• La medición de las respuestas espectrales en los cultivos permite establecerdiferencias en lo referente a la especie y presenta correlaciones con el contenidode algunos nutrimentos en las hojas. Sin embargo, no todos los índices y REPcalculados, presentan correlaciones significativas con los contenidos denutrimentos, los valores de la primera y segunda derivadas calculados para larespuesta espectral fueron los que presentaron correlaciones significativas.Problemas de estrés (nutricionales, hídrico, plagas, enfermedades) puedenpresentar respuestas espectrales similares, en consecuencia, se requiereinvestigación para poder transformar las respuestas espectrales en informaciónconfiable que apoye las decisiones para mejorar la eficiencia en la aplicación deinsumos.
