Welcome to the geek world!!

Nowdays,  because  of  the  ‘tecnology  era’

it  is  a  luxury  thing  about  having  a  nerd

friend,  isn’t  it?  Specially  the  ones  who

knows  how  to  deal  with  all  those

computer  and  electronic  equipments!

But  this  nerd  friend  of  yours  is  no  longer

that  shy  guy  hanging  out  with  books  and

pens!  Nowdays  they  even  know  about

fashion  and  have  their  own  style!

The  market  which  is  poinCng  for  the  geek

style  is  growing  more  and  more  each

day!  But  for  the  geeks  who  are  intrested

in  tecnology.  Designers  are  invesCng  in

this  market  to  develop  colecCons

inspired  on  the  geek’s  favorite  universes.

The  brand  ThinkGeek  started  as  an  idea.

A  simple  idea  to  create  and  sell  stuff  that

would  appeal  to  the  thousands  of  people

out  there  who  were  on  the  front  line  and

in  the  trenches  as  the  Internet  was

forged.  ThinkGeek  started  as  a  way  to

serve  a  market  that  was  passionate

about  technology,  from  programmers,

engineers,  students,  lovers  of  open

source,  to  the  masses  that  helped  create

the  behind-‐the-‐scenes  Internet  culture.

July 2010

Three  out  of  the  four  founding

ThinkGeek  members  started  an

ISP  (also  someCmes  referred  to

as  an  Internet  access  provider

(IAP),  is  a  company  that  offers  its

customers  access  to  the  internet)

in  the  Northern  Virginia  area  way

back  in  1995.  ARer  a  few  years

with  the  ISP  gig,  the  ThinkGeek

idea  popped  into  the  ISP  member

heads,  and,  operaCng  out  of  a

spare  room  at  their  office  they

setup  shop  and  launched  the  site

on  Friday  the  13th,  1999.

OMGWTFUN!

Real T-Shirt Based ROCK!

They  could  have  done  what  other  supposedly  geeky  apparel  companies  do  and  print  a  regular  t-‐shirt  with  a  cool  looking  picture  of  a  drum  kit  on  the  front,  then  say  it  was  trendy,  make  a                              few  Rock  Band                      references  and  try

to  convince  people  to  buy  it.  But  ThinkGeek  don't  roll  like  that.  At  ThinkGeek  know  you  expect  innovaCve  new  products  and  they're  there  to  pony  up  the  goods.

So,  how  about  an  electronic

t-‐shirt  with  a  picture  of  an  actual  playable  drum  kit  on  the  front?  That's  right.  Hit  the  drums  on  this  shirt  with  your  finger  and  they  play  through  the  built  in  speaker.  Simple  but  amazing.  With  7  different  drum  sounds  you're  ready  for

The brand has to the coolest wearable tech we've seen since the George Foreman backpack grill.

Constantly  amazed  at  the  never-‐ending  evoluCon  of  new  technology,  another  ThinkGeek  innovaCve  product  and  also  huge  success  is  the  t-‐shirt  with  the  glowing  display  on  the  T-‐Qualizer  that  dynamically  changes  with  any  ambient  sound  or  music.

   a  personal  drum  solo

                     on  your  chest.

The shirt even has a adjustable volume,

and the top volume level is really loud!
