Fieldwork

Fieldwork

a)   Record a 30-60 second excerpt from a selected musical piece in the musical genre you have chosen to examine in your final project

b)   Interview the musician (s) (from which you have recorded the music) on aspects of sound production on the instrument or musical genre recorded.

c)   Transcribe the music into western notation score or other music scores related

d)   Discuss the musical elements such as melody, rhythm, texture, form, dynamics and others

 

Integrate all aspects of Assignment 1 and 2 into a complete presentation on the musical genre selected. Include other aspects not discussed in

a)   Other musical instruments

b)   Summary by discussing the future of the musical genre
