l 1.0 INTRODUCTION
B Throughout the year of 1988, several extensive soil geochemistry
surveys were performed on the San Paulo property in the Mishibishu Lake Area*
l Both Humus and B soil horizons were collected over grid lines and claim lines.
The results of the assays outlined a weak anomalous trend in the area south of
" Pillow Lake.
l2.0 LOCATION AND ACCESS
l The property is located in the western part of the Sault Ste. Marie
. Mining Division, Mishibishu Lake Area (Fig. 1), approximately 56 km west of Wawa
and 72 km south of Hemlo. Access to the property is via the Magnacon Mine road
l to Macassa Creek followed by a helicopter ride to one of the many small lakes
suitable for campsites.
l The property consists of 47 contiguous claims optioned from San Paulo
H Exploration, 9 claims optioned from Dominion Explorers, and 9 claims acquired by
Noranda Exploration in November of 1987. This report covers the area of the 56
l claims, omitting the 9 southernmost claims owned by Noranda (Fig.2).
l 3.0 PROPERTY GEOLOGY
m The area is underlain by the Mishibishu Lake Belt and consists of
metavolcanic and metasedimentary sequences locally intruded by felsic bodies
l (Mishibishu Lake stock) and younger diabase dykes*

4 - 0 WOCHEMICAL SURVEY
Extensive soil sampling was undertaken over the entire property and
each station was sampled for humus and B horizon soils. The stations were
spaced 25 m apart on grid lines as well as claim lines* A total of 3731 samples
were collected these being 1958 humus and 1773 B horizon samples.
The survey delineated a few areas where clusters of anomalous samples
were collected. These clusters may be correlated to form weak trends south and
east of Pillow Lake. South of Pillow Lake, the trend appears to run in an east-
west direction while east of Pillow Lake, there occurs and isolated cluster of
values ranging from 60 to 155 ppb Au. The southern trend contains values in the
range of 50 to 90 ppb Au and 100 ppb Au to 2.00 grams/ton Au. These trends do
not correlate satisfactorily with the strike of the geology and thus the term
"trend" should be used lightly.
5.0 RECOMMENDATIONS
J The numerous soil surveys over the entire property were sufficient to
M enable a complete assessment of the claims and therefore no further soil
sampling should be undertaken. The anomalous areas should be prospected and
l rock samples should be collected to verify the assays obtained in the soils.

1.0 INTRODUCTION
In June of 1988, 672 soil geochemistry samples were taken over nine
(9) claims (SSM 1013655 - 1013661). The survey covered grid lines as well as
claim lines at 25 m intervals per sample (Figure 1).
2.0 LOCATION AND ACCESS
l The San Paulo property is located in the western part of the Sault
Ste. Marie Mining Division, Mishibishu Lake Area, approximately 56 km west of
l Wawa, Ont. (Figure 2). Access to the property is by helicopter from the Macassa
Creek Road Camp near the Magnacon Mine site.
3.0 GEOCHEMICAL SURVEYlA total of 672 soil samples were collected for Au assay and sent to
l Technical Service Laboratories in Mississauga, Ont. The B-horizon was the
target horizon and A horizon samples were only taken where 8 horizons were
' unobtainable. In total, 318 samples were "A" horizons, and 354 were "B"
B horizons.
In general, the values were low with the background value being ^
l ppb. Threshold values were in the range of 10 to 20 ppb. Four significant
assays in "B" horizon soils were noted ranging from 70 ppb to 750 ppb Au. These
* were located on lines 1250E and 1375E in a cluster at approximately 1150S. The
l "A" horizon samples returned 6 spot highs ranging from 59 ppb to 500 ppb Au.

4. ONCLUSIONS
The area surveyed has been adequately covered by the soil samples but
any significant anomalous trend was not delineated by the results. The area
containing the spot highs should be investigated for favourable gold bearing
horizons by exposing the bedrock wherever possible* At this time, no further *-/ 3*
soil geochemistry is recommended over this area.
