Hints and new search methodThere are several hints for extra stellar cooling sources, which may be attributed to axion. WDs, RGB, HB, etc.

(DFSZ, tanβ = 10)fa = 7.7 × 107 GeV Without SN/NS limits.

PreSN neutrino alarmWe can predict nearby SN explosion using preSN neutrinos.

Even before core collapse, many neutrinos are emitted from the progenitor.

These preSN neutrinos can be detected if .d ≲ 1 kpcKamLAND, SK/HK, JUNO, DUNE, etc.

Supernova Early Warning System (SNEWS)

Location of the source can also be estimated:H.-L. Li, et. al., JCAP 05, 049 (2020); M. Mukhopadhyay, et.al., APJ 899, 2, 153 (2020).

Conclusion

• We discussed the prospect of detecting SN axions with SN-scope.

• With the help of pre-SN neutrino alarm, we can point a SN-scope at an exploding SN progenitor in advance.

• SN axion detection is a realistic and promising option for future axion helioscopes.
