Connecting you to theWestern CorridorBANDAR UTAMA - JOHAN SETIA
Benefits
Increases the capacity of the local transport network, catering to an expected population of two million in the Western Corridor of the Greater Kuala Lumpur/Klang Valley by 2020.
Extends reach to Klang, Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya and Subang Jaya via 26 stations.
Increasing capacity and reach
The corridor provides access to Port Klang - the 13th busiest port in the world - as well as other pockets of industrial hubs located around the Shah Alam district. The LRT3 alignment will add tremendous capacity to existing transportation linkages.
Improving accessiblity within the Western Corridor
Supporting regeneration and the development across the Western Corridor.
LRT3 will spur the revitalisation of communities in Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam and Klang by encouraging high density, mixed-use real estate development around the stations with an emphasis on Transit Oriented Developments.
LRT3 links townships together into integrated regions that can then function as a single, stronger economy.
LRT3 broadens labour markets and offers workers a wider network of employers to choose from.

What is LRT3
LRT3 Features
Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) is the third LRT system in the Greater Kuala Lumpur/Klang Valley (GKL/KV) region and will serve an estimated population of two million in the Western Corridor by 2020. The LRT3 is estimated to benefit 500,000 commuters along the alignment.
LRT3 is a project developed in line with the Urban Rail Development Plan (URDP) of the GKL/KV Land Public Transport Master Plan under the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD).
LRT3 is part of a reliable, efficient, integrated and sustainable land public transport system targeted at enhancing socio-economic development and quality of life.
Prasarana Malaysia Berhad is the project owner that formulated the brief of the project and will assume operations of the project upon completion.
MRCB George Kent (MRCBGK) is the appointed Project Delivery Partner (PDP) for the LRT3 and is responsible for the successful completion of the project within a predetermined cost and time frame.
The AlignmentLRT3 is a double track rail alignment of approximately 37 km operating between Bandar Utama to Johan Setia.
LRT3 alignment will have 26 stations including 5 stations that integrate with existing and future public transport systems.
Total transit time of approximately 58 minutes.
The line will cover the areas of Bandar Utama, Shah Alam and Klang before terminating at Johan Setia.
Five integrated stations designed to provide a more convenient travel experience and better connectivity for passengers. LRT3 interchanges with existing and future public transportation services at five points:
Station 1 : Integration with MRT Line 1
Station 7 : Integration with Kelana Jaya Line
Station 10 : Integration with BRT Federal Line (future)
Station 13 : Integration with BRT Federal Line (future)
