FUNDINGThe BBC is mostly funded by the government and license fees.

License fees is an annual payment it funds all parts of the BBC including the radio, TV and online services.

Everyone in the UK who watches or records TV as it is broadcast needs to be covered by a TV license. This includes TV on computers, mobile phones, DVD/video recorders and other devices.

The license fee was agreed to last a six year period with the amount controlled by the government.

The crown publically owns the BBC but technically the public owns it.

Taxpayers are considered to own the BBC.
