HAPPY HOUR GAME Beer Stein Hoisting Overview: Contestants must hold a 1-liter stein filled to the top with beer at arm’s length for as long as possible. The arm cannot be bent and must remain parallel to the floor. Any spillage spells disqualification. The winner is the last man, or woman, standing, arm outstretched and unbent, with full mug proudly aloft. Entry Fee: $8 Mens and womens divisions The first 10 male and female contestants to sign up are eligible to compete. Compensation: An Oktober Fest mug with a near-liter of beer and a chance at fun prizes Rules Participants must be 21 or older. Dont drink the beer until the contest is over. Note: Once source indicates the world record for mug holding is about 19 minutes, but contestants might be lucky to get to 6 minutes.

Beer Stein Slide

Overview: Open to 6 teams of 2 players per team. There will be 3 rounds of competition with 2 teams competing at a time. Fast paced game of stamina, dexterity and agility. Team members will take turns serving as the shooter and the catcher at each end of a table or sliding board. Competitions last 1 minute. The team from all rounds with the most points based on successful catches wins. Entry Fee: $8 per team member. Open to the first 12 contestants to register. Register in pairs or be assigned to a team. Compensation: An Oktober Fest mug and a chance at fun prizes Rules 1. Participants must be 21 or older. 1. Game will begin when announcer says “go.” 2. Beer steins will be filled with water. 3. The shooter launches/slides the beer stein to the other end of

the table and off the end. 4. The catcher must catch the beer stein as it slides or shoots off

the table in mid-air. 5. Scoring: 2 points for a one-handed catch; 1 point for a two-

handed catch. 6. The catcher will run around the length of the table, set the beer stein down and shoot

it to their teammate who has now moved into position as the catcher. 7. Contest officials will provide full steins at the shooting end in the event of dropped

steins on the catching end. 8. The winning team will be determined by the most points for the best and most

successful catches tallied during the 1 minute.

Notes: Contestants may wish to bring a rain slicker or garbage bags will be available to provide protection from splashing and spillage.

Stein Pouring Relay

Overview: Open to 4 teams of 6 players per team. There will be 2 rounds of competition with 2 teams each. See which team can fill its bucket the fastest by transferring water from one stein to another down the line. The team to fill the bucket to the designated mark in the fastest time from all rounds of competition will be winner! Entry Fee: $8 per team member — Open to the first 24 people to register. May register as a team or individually to be assigned to a team. Compensation: An Oktober Fest mug and a chance at fun prizes Rules: 1. Participants must be 21 years of age. 2. Teams of 6 players will stand in straight lines. 3. Each team member will be provided an empty beer stein. 4. Upon the starting call of a contest official, the game begins by first player filling his/her

stein with water from a jug on a nearby table. 5. The first player will pour the water from his or her stein to the stein of the next player in

line. 6. Teams will continue transferring or pouring the water along, until the last player in line

empties his/her stein into the fill bucket on a table. 7. This last player then goes to the front of the line, fills his/her stein from the jug and

continues the game of pouring and transferring water on down the line. 8. Play continues in this manner until the fill mark on the bucket is reached and the time is

recorded. Notes: If there are fewer than 24 registrants, contest officials may modify team size as needed as long as all teams have the same number of team members.

Beer Tray Relay Race Overview: Open to 4 teams of 4 players each. Two teams will compete per round with 2 rounds of competition. Contestants will be challenged to carry 4 cups of liquid perched atop a beer tray around an obstacle course. The contestants must single-handedly carry their tray, weaving around a few pumpkins and climbing back and forth over a straw bale before gingerly setting down on a table for pickup by the next team member. Game officials will provide new cups of liquid at the hand-off in the event of tipped or spilled cups. The team from both rounds of competition with the fastest total time wins! Entry Fee: $8 per person. Open to the first 16 people to sign up. You may sign up as a team or contestants will be assigned to teams. Compensation: An Oktober Fest mug and a chance at fun prizes Rules:

• All participants must be 21 years of age. • Try not to tip your keg cup. • Teams will be timed. • A 5-second penalty will be assessed for each cup that tips over on

the tray. • A 10-second penalty will be assessed for any cup that falls to the

ground.
