In 1951 grandmother and grandfather had Hotel Zeezicht built with 19 hotel rooms, on top of a dune top at the then still Pickéweg 20. The hotel regularly renovates or adds something.

The building was renewed in 1961. “A quiet family hotel - beautiful surroundings - hot and cold running water - central heating ...”.

In the mid-60s, mom and dad Van der Zalm run the hotel. They open Zeemotel Zeezicht in 1974 with 32 luxury apartments.

And from 1999 the honor is ours. And when it comes to renovating ... this time it was even bigger than his father had ever done.
