www.jadesociety.org March 18, 2017 Greetings and Happy New Year to all, On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Benevolent Asian Jade Society of New England and myself, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and thank everyone for coming to celebrate our 35th Anniversary with us. Over the past thirty-five years, members of our organization have served the New England community, ensuring that our neighborhoods are safe while at the same time building trust. Our goals in the near future are to strengthen the partnerships that we have created, educate the public and to mentor young men and women to choose career paths in Law Enforcement. In addition, we must continue to foster and build stronger relations between the Asian American Community and law enforcement. This includes further recruiting and enhancing the workforce representation of Asian Americans at every level in government and public service. In 2019, we will be asking for support in bringing the National Asian Pease Officers Association (NAPOA) training conference back to Boston. It's time for us to again showcase our beautiful city and access our area's rich academic resources to provide a world class training opportunity to our fellow Law Enforcement colleagues around the world. I wish to thank the Board of Directors in selecting me to become the 8th President of the Jade Society. It is truly an honor to serve this great organization. In closing, I would like to thank all of our sponsors, without you, this event would not have been possible. Congratulations to all our award honorees, our retirees and our scholarship recipients. I look forward to working with everyone in the coming year. Thank you again for your continued support and enjoy the evening! Best wishes,

Kenneth Mui Kenneth Mui President
