Client Representative, Cyath Contracting LLC Feb ’12- present Cyath contracting is a relatively new business acquired by Saifee Ships for their in house projects. I have worked as client representative for their various in-house

projects having overall control over the work. Review and approval of materials, budget management and monitoring projects for timely completion are just a few of my responsibilities as the representative. We have completed major projects over the last couple of years which include;

the construction industry for specialising in expert flooring solutions. They are certified applicators of epoxy paints for big names in the UAE market such as Fosroc, Colmef etc. Working as the General Manager, my responsibilities ranged from strategic planning and micromanagement of projects that were spread all over UAE. Senior Resident Engineer, WS Atkins & Partners Overseas Dec ’06-Sept ‘09

WS Atkins is a leading UK based consultancy company which is involved in

planning, designing and handling of many prestigious projects such as Burj Al Arab, Metro Stations, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Wild Wadi etc. Tiffany Tower, plot #W2, Jumeirah Lake Towers This is a prominent 49 storey commercial tower worth approximately 250 million dirhams, which had been handed over upon successful completion. My responsibilities were to manage the entire construction as a senior Resident Engineer ( Sr.R.E). As an R.E, I administered the project as per the client’s design and specifications while managing and supervising a team of Architects, Site Civil Engineers, Electrical Engineers and Mechanical Engineers. I often coordinated with the client on all financial matters and organized the implementation of the required rules and regulations with all local authorities.

My role was also to control the construction progress financially and adhering to the deadline, whilst advising the client accordingly. Towards the end of the project I coordinated with the property management company M/s Asteco and facility management companies for their requirements and needs. It is another additional experience to my vast civil engineering

experience. Resident Engineer, RMJM Consultants Apr ’02-Dec ‘06 Another well established and leading consulting company in UK based in Dubai. Basically this was turning point of my career where I shifted from contracting to consultancy. Prior to April 2002, it was managing the projects construction from

contractor which was very different than consultancy. By seeing my extra ordinary management and technical skills, the Director offered me to join with them, which was a challenging opportunity for me. During this period I performed very well where I completed many esteemed projects. Aerogulf was a difficult yet challenging project in Dubai Airport where I had to coordinate with Dubai Civil Aviation officials, client and other authorities. The Polo club house at the Arabian Ranches was another project for Emaar which gained a lot of international

reputation. Simultaneously I managed the construction of the Horse Stables at the Arabian Ranches as well, which is different than the normal building construction. During this period, I was also responsible for the management and supervision of various other projects in accordance with design and specifications, while

coordinating with the client about the financial and technical aspects of the

projects. Below is the list of projects with summary in this role.

Saba Tower I This is 38 stories first high rise tower complete in JLT area. It is the 1st

commercial free zone high rise building. Managing facility management & refurbishment guiding to the Tenants.

Saba Tower II & III These two towers are 40 stories residential towers.

Gold and Diamond Park

It is a special project to have the gold manufacturing factories, STP &

Cooling Towers EST.

Stables (Arabian Ranches) Resident Engineer for stables project with special finishes (Emaar)

Arabian Ranches Polo Club house Resident Engineer for polo club with high degree of finishes.

Jumeirah Beach Residences - Piling works Resident Engineer for piling works including Bentonite piles 800Nm of 42m depth.

Handicapped Centre RCC framed structure having indoor swimming pool for handicapped, foundation, various types of workshops. Managed and coordinated with consultants, planning and arranging manpower in order to ensure that the project is completed on

This was exiting RCC loading platform for the ships, extending in 30 meter deep sea on RCC columns. It was a challenging work to carry out the demolishing the very deep beams and replace the old concrete with new. Housing Projects

Worked on various housing projects where different types of houses were constructed in a project. Controlled the quality, work progress, arrangement and planning of man power as well as materials.
