Nasce a Marsala nel 1986. Recentemente diplomata presso lo IED di Milano in Fotografia e Arti Visive, vive e lavora attualmente a Londra dove sta frequentando un Master in Fine Arts e Fotografia al London College of Communication.I suoi lavori sono stati esposti in alcune mostre collettive tra cui Milan Image Art Fair 2011 al SuperStudioPiù di Milano e alla Biennale VideoFotoContemporanea 2011 di Alessandria.Bianca Salvo è vincitrice del Premio Celeste 2011 per la categoria Fotografia e Grafica Digitale, con il lavoro “Sala d’ Attesa”.

Sala d’Attesa

Sala d’Attesa è un progetto fotografico realizzato nel 2011. La rappresentazione di un “mondo privato” in cui il divenire di ciascun individuo si snoda in un lento susseguirsi di speranze, dubbi, ansie, sogni, desideri ed aspettative.Figure effimere ed elementi del quotidiano dialogano tra loro sospesi in attesa di ciò che dovrà accadere; transitorietà e fugacità fanno da sfondo ad un melanconico senso di accettazione.

Bianca Salvo, born in Marsala 1986, she recently graduated in BA in Visual Arts and Photography at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, actually she lives and work in London where she’s attending an MA in Photography at London College of Communication at The University of Arts of London. Her works were exhibited in several collective exhibitions in Italy such as the Milan Image Art Fair 2011 at SuperStudioPiù and the Biennale VideoFotoContemporanea 2011 di Alessandria. Last year she won the first prize for the photography category of Premio Celeste 2011 with her work “Sala d’Attesa”.

Sala d’Attesa is a photographic project realized in 2011, is the representation of a “private world” in which each destiny evolves in a slow succession of hopes, doubts, anxieties, dreams, desires and expectation.Ephemeral figures and everyday elements talk to each other, suspended, waiting for what it will happen; the impermanence and the transience of the events are the background of a melancholic sense of acceptance.
