Nos gustara empezar ofrecindole informacin importante acerca de su bicicleta nueva. Con esta informacin podr sacar el mximo partido de la bicicleta y evitar cualquier posible riesgo. Si conduce por un terreno difcil, por favor, vista la ropa necesaria de proteccin, como por ejemplo un chaleco protector.

Lleve siempre ropa ajustada de la cintura para abajo, o, en caso nece-sario, utilice pinzas o clips para pantalones. Sus zapatos han de tener un buen agarre y contar con suelas duras.

PARTICULARSOnly authorized Argon 18 dealers or distributors must assemble Argon 18 bikes. Dealers and distributors must refer to Assembly Guides available on Argon 18s website to assemble the bikes (www.argon18bike.com).

CONDITIONS AND TERM OF THE WARRANTYAs with 2014 models, all frames purchased from an authorized Argon 18 dealer authorized dealer or distributor are guaranteed for three years against manufacturing defects. presente manual describe bicicletas de las siguientes categoras: bicicleta de carreras, bicicleta de triatln o de contrarreloj, bicicleta ciclocrs, bicicleta monomarcha/de pin fijo. Este manual solo es aplicable a la bicicleta con la que se suministr.

El texto de la advertencia tiene siempre un fondo gris.Compruebe que todos los cierres rpidos estn correctamente cerrados cada vez que vaya a montar en la bicicleta, aunque tan solo haya transcu-rrido un breve periodo de tiempo desde la ltima utilizacin. Compruebe con regularidad todas las piezas y uniones roscadas.

A este respecto, tenga en cuenta que los materiales compuestos, como la fibra de vidrio, requieren de un par de apriete pequeo (vase captu-lo Conexiones atornilladas, pgina 28). Los componentes que normal-mente se fabrican con fibra de vidrio son el manillar, la potencia, la tija y los rales del silln, el cuadro, la horquilla y las manivelas. Pida informa-cin a su distribuidor especializado sobre el manejo de estos materiales.No suelte el manillar mientras monte en bicicleta.Las advertencias se expresan de la siguiente manera:

Levante ligeramente su bicicleta a unos 10 cm del suelo y djela caer. Si produce un traqueteo o cualquier otro sonido extrao pida a un ven-dedor especializado que identifique la causa y solucione el problema antes de usar la bicicleta.

Empuje las ruedas hacia delante al tiempo que acciona los frenos. El freno trasero debe evi-tar por completo que la rueda trasera se mueva y el freno delantero debe levantar la rueda trasera del suelo con su efecto de frenado. Por favor, d una vuelta inicial de prueba en un lugar seguro para familiarizarse con sus nuevos frenos. Los frenos modernos pueden tener un comporta-miento completamente distinto al de los frenos a los que tal vez est acostumbrado. La direccin de la bicicleta no debe traquetear durante el fre-nado ni presentar juego alguno.

Compruebe la presin de los neumticos. Encontrar instrucciones relativas a la presin correcta de los neumticos en los laterales de los mismos. Por favor, respete las presiones mxima y mnima indicadas. En el caso en el que no se indique la presin, se aplicar la presin estndar de 6,5 bar / 94 PSI para bicicletas de carreras. Los neumticos de las bicicletas de ciclocross podrn ser inflados con una presin de entre 3 y 4 bar / 43,5 y 58 PSI.

Como norma gene-ral, cuando haya salido en bicicleta puede com-probar la presin de los neumticos haciendo lo siguiente: Al aplicar presin con el pulgar sobre un neumtico hinchado no debera cam-biar significativamente su forma.

Compruebe los neumticos y llantas. Rec-rralos con la vista en busca de cualquier dao, grieta o deformacin, as como de cualquier par-tcula que se haya podido introducir en los mis-mos, como cristales o piedras.

Si encuentra cortes, desgarros o agujeros, no monte en la bicicleta. Antes, pida a un especialis-ta que compruebe la bicicleta.

El cuadro y la horquilla no estn deformados, con fisuras o daados.

El manillar, la potencia, la tija y el silln estn correctamente sujetos y situados en la posi-cin correcta

La tija y el silln son seguros. Intente girar el silln o moverlo hacia delante o hacia atrs. No debera moverse.

Si utiliza pedales con calas o automticos, compruebe que funcionen correctamente. Los pedales deberan soltarse fcilmente.

En caso de cadasCompruebe que todas las partes de la bicicleta se encuentran intac-tas, ya que podra haber abolladu-ras y grietas en el cuadro, as como componentes do-blados. Del mismo

modo, si el manillar o el silln se encuentran desplazados o girados deber comprobar el fun-cionamiento y la seguridad de las piezas corres-pondientes. Inspeccione el cuadro y la horquilla detenida-

mente. Si observa la superficie desde diferen-tes ngulos, apreciar claramente las posibles deformaciones.

Compruebe que el silln, la tija del silln, la po-tencia y el manillar se encuentran en la posi-cin correcta. En caso contrario, NO intente enderezar ni girar la pieza desplazada sin abrir antes el cierre correspondiente. Al fijar la pieza, case por completo al par de apriete indicado en la pgina 28, captulo Cierre r-pido, pgina 6.

Verifique que ambas ruedas se encuentran correctamente fijadas al cuadro y la horquilla. Eleve las ruedas y hgalas girar hacia delan-te y hacia atrs; las llantas no debern gol-pear los frenos y los neumticos no debern rozarlos. En las bicicletas con frenos de dis-co, compruebe la distancia entre el cuadro o la horquilla y los neumticos, verifique que la rueda gira sin problemas.

Cercirese de que los frenos funcionan per-fectamente.

No reanude la marcha sin haber comprobado que la cadena se encuentra bien situada en el plato y el pin. Esta deber encajar de mane-ra precisa con las ruedas dentadas, de lo con-trario, podra soltarse durante la conduccin y provocar una cada y lesiones graves.
