Summary. The pseudoepigraphical work known as theLetter of Aristeas, which ispresented here in the Serbian translation of its most relevant parts, contains the ol-

dest preserved account of the genesis of the Septuagint. Upon the request of hislibrarian Demetrius of Phalerum, king Ptolemy II Philadelphus (reigned 285-247BCE) requests Eleasar, the high priest of Jerusalem, to send his eminent scholars totranslate their sacred scriptures into Greek. Upon their arrival to Alexandria, the se-venty-two elected translators accomplish their task in seventy-two days by compa-ring and harmonizing their individual translations. The introductory text aims at pro-viding the reader with all the necessary information regarding the questions of aut-horship, dating, genre, and historical context of the work. It emphasizes the pointthat theLetter of Aristeas belongs to the tradition of apo logetic Alexandrian Jewishwritings and that the writers main purpose is to give ofcial authority to the Greek

translation of the Torah, which was primarily made to meet the needs of the thorou-ghly Hellenized community of Egyptian Jews.

Zusammenfassung. Der vorliegende Beitrag ist basiert auf der Exegese des Textes

Mk 1, 21-28. Es handelt sich um eine Wundergeschichte. Mit dem Versuch, diesenText fr die heutige Situation auszulegen, wird die in der Theologie vieldiskutierteFrage nach der Mglichkeit oder Unmglichkeit der Naturbrechenden Wundern er-ffnet. Ausserdem, stellt unser Text ein besonderes Problem dar, nmlich das Pro-blem der Beziehung zwischen Lehre und Wunder Jesu. Der sorgfltige Aufbau desTextes kann nur bedeuten, dass der Inhalt der Lehre Jesu durch das Wunder gege-ben ist. Damit wird gezeugt, dass Jesus im Markusevangelium die befreiende Vol-lmacht besitzt, dass sein Wort kein leeres Wort ist, sondern dass dieses Wort vollzie-ht, was er verspricht. Summary. The present study elucidates the connections between the patristic use ofbiblical texts and their fundamental theological methodology. The Author reects onpatristic explanation of the gure of the Angel of Lord from the Old Testament andoffers an evaluation of the christological exegetical perspective in New Testament

texts, classical patristic writings as well as in iconographic and liturgical materialin order to show that ancient theologians understood the biblical teaching as havingorganic unity, and therefore related to an internal structure of their theological con-cepts. By establishing the rm connection between the angelophanies of the An-gel of Lord and th e person of Jesus Christ, the Fathers suggest that they represent arevelation of the Logos Himself in the history of Salvation even before the Incarnation.The article concludes with an strong emphasis of the theological importance andsignicance of fundamental patristic hermeneutical methods and their relevance forcontemporary theology and its problems. Theological interpretation of scripture mu-st attend to concerns regarding history. Theological exegesis assumes that addressi-
