El reciente incremento en la Licencia Muni-cipal de Licores tiene a muchos dueños de bares y restaurantes tan molestos que deci-dimos reunirnos con la Alcaldesa y los miem-bros claves del Concejo Municipal para un diálogo sobre este asunto. Como esperada la decisión no es reversible debido a la situa-ción peculiar financiera en la que la munici-palidad se encuentra involucrada después de la desastrosa posesión del antiguo Alcal-de Lutgardo Bolaños. Sin embargo, si nos encontramos ¨ojo a ojo¨ con respecto a donde se gastarían estos fondos extra y les hemos enviado una solicitud oficial que es-tos fondos fueran dedicados a la educación, infraestructura de espacios públicos (Parques y Recreación) y reforzamiento de la ley local. De hecho uno de los descubrimien-tos de la Contraloría de La República fue que mientras la Municipalidad de Aguirre insti-tuyó la Policía Municipal nunca hubo un correspondiente incremento en los impues-tos municipales y fue una de las razones del predicamento financiero de la Municipali-dad.

Algunas buenas noticias son que mientras hace tan solo un año teníamos únicamente 11 casas de alquiler registradas con la Muni-cipalidad de aproximadamente 180 ahora hay más de 140 debidamente registradas y las cuales están comenzando a pagar su porción justa de impuestos.

Decimos el principio porque otros impues-tos y el reforzamiento de la ley en el mo-mento para hoteles y B&B´s vendrán y pron-

to habrá igualdad de condiciones para aque-llos que han estado pagando su porción justa de impuestos.

Durante nuestras conversaciones con la Al-caldesa, el Presidente y los miembros claves del Concejo Municipal nos sentimos animados a escuchar que muchos proyectos municipales que han sido presentados están de vuelta en el fuego gracias al cambio de las desgracias financieras en la Municipalidades y gracias a la cooperación y los esfuerzos de presión de nuestra Cámara. Esperamos pronto mostrarle prueba de estos esfuerzos y la relación de trabajo estrecha que tenemos con varias insti-tuciones del centro. Uno de estos proyectos es los estudios de factibilidad para una Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales para el área de Quepos para la cual más de $180,000.00 se han habilitado y la decisión de devolver cerca de $360,000.00 a la Contraloría de la República para el Proyecto Centro de la Cultura de Quepos. Otros proyectos incluyen un Recreativo, Parque de Deporte y Cultura para el centro de Quepos, un Bulevard conec-tando el nuevo Parque Municipal con el Ma-lecón, el diseño del Malecón, un rediseño para Nahomi, un Parque Municipal que dupli-ca la locación de la Feria del Agricultor y facili-dades permanentes para el área de Quepos y Manuel Antonio.

Los comentarios recientes hechos por el autoproclamado líder de este grupo (el cual no sido todavía registrado) con respecto al deterioro del negocio hotelero es simplemen-te un intento de confundir y de dividir a la gente. La política fiscal del Banco Central de Costa Rica no tiene relevancia en cuanto a los

que el I.C.T. u otros están haciendo para in-tentar promover el turismo en un mercado que está seriamente afectado por las Fuerzas Económicas Globales. En mi humilde opinión el impacto negativo más grande de la indus-tria hotelera en los años recientes fue la deci-sión del Banco Central de Costa Rica de reba-jar el dólar de 600 colones a 500 colones lo cual significa una disminución en el poder de compra de aproximadamente el 15%. Esto es lo que hizo que nuestras ganancias casi des-aparecieran. Si queremos culpar al I.C.T. por algo sería porque ellos y otras instituciones gubernamentales debieron presionar con más fuerza para tratar de reversar el daño hecho por el Banco Central de Costa Rica, ICE y el Ministro en Labor. Otros factores que impactaron el país entero han sido los au-mentos continuos de utilidades y gastos de planilla. Desafortunadamente, gracias a estas decisiones, la supervivencia en el sector hote-lero se convirtió en la ¨Supervivencia de los más fuertes¨ y metió a muchas operaciones de ¨Mamá y Papá¨ en un problema serio. Por supuesto que culpar al I.C.T. o culpar a aque-llos que no estuvieron de acuerdo con algu-nos de las declaraciones de PROTUR es mu-cho más fácil de explicar que la política fiscal del país. Si queremos crear un impacto en el cambio de la política fiscal necesitamos diálo-go serio entre amigos y enemigos.

Sentimos que estamos listos para un cambio significativo y esperamos que nos acompañe en estos proyectos futuros uniéndose a uno de nuestros respectivos Comités Existentes.

Message of The President


The recent increase in Municipal Liquor License Taxes has many bar and restaurant owners so upset that we decided to meet with the Mayor and key members of the City Council for a dialog on this issue. As ex-pected the decision was not reversible be-cause of the peculiar financial situation the municipality finds itself in after a disastrous tenure of former Mayor Lutgardo Bolanos. However, we did meet “eye to eye” on where these extra funds will be spend and have send an official request that all these funds are dedicated to education, public space infrastructure (Parks and Recreation) and local law enforcement. In fact one of the findings of the Controlaria de La Republica was that while the Municipality of Aguirre instituted a Policia Municipal there was never a corresponding increase in municipal taxes and was one of the reasons of the financial predicament of the Municipality.

Some good news is that while a year ago we had only 11 of the approximately 180 rental houses duly registered with the Mu-nicipality there are now more than 140 houses legally registered and which are be-ginning to pay their fair share of taxes. We say the beginning because other taxes and law enforcement in place for hotels and B&B’s will follow and will hopefully soon level the playing field for those that have been paying their fair share of taxes.

During our conversations with the Mayor, the President and key members of the City Council we were encouraged to hear that

many municipal projects that had been tabled are back on the front burner due to the antici-pated turnaround of financial misfortunes in the Municipality and because of the coopera-tion and lobbying efforts of the leadership of our Chamber. We soon expect to show you the proof of these efforts and close working relationship of the various institutions in the downtown areas. One such project is the fea-sibility study for a Water Sewage Treatment Facility for the Quepos area for which more than $180,000.00 has been made available and the decision to return close to $360,000.00 to the City Coffers for the Cul-tural Center Project of Quepos. Other pro-jects include a Recreational, Sports & Cultural Park for Quepos Center, a Boulevard connect-ing the new Municipal Park with the Malecon, the design of the Malceon, a redesign for Naomi, a Municipal Park that doubles as the location of the Feria de Agricultor, and perma-nent parking facilities for the Quepos and Manuel Antonio area.

The recent comments made by the self-proclaimed leader of this group (which has yet be registered) in regards to the deteriorating business in the hotel sector are simply an attempt to confuse and divide people. The Central Bank of Costa Rica’s Fiscal Policy has no relevance to what the I.C.T. or others are doing trying to promote tourism in a market seriously affected by Global Economic Forces. In my humble opinion, the biggest negative impact on the hotel industry in recent years was the decision by the Central Bank of Costa Rica to deflate the dollar from about 600 colones to about 500 colones which meant a decrease in purchasing power of about 15%.

This is what made our profits all but disap-pear. If we want to put any blame of the I.C.T. it is perhaps that they and other gov-ernmental institutions should have lobbied much harder to try to undo the damage done by the Central Bank of Costa Rica, ICE and the Labor Ministry. Other factors that impacted the entire country were the continuous in-creases in utility and payroll expenses. Unfor-tunately, because of these decisions, finan-cial survival in the hotel sector became a matter of “Survival of the Fittest” and got lots of “Mom & Dad” operations in serious trou-ble. Of course, blaming the I.C.T. or blame those that did not agree with some of the statements of PROTUR are much easier than explaining a country’s fiscal policy. If we want to make an impact on changing fiscal policy we need serious dialog amongst friends and foes.

We feel that we are poised for a significant economic turnaround and hope you will join us in these future projects by joining one of our respective Standing Committees.

Un reciente repunte en los incidentes de

crimen local están enviando pánico me-diante nuestra comunidad y he estado recibiendo numerosas llamadas para información y preguntas acerca de si el crimen está de nuevo fuera de control. Las estadísticas recientes muestran otra historia y revelan que los incidentes para el periodo que termina en Diciem-bre 2012 están bajos en un 58% en comparación al año pasado.

Durante el 2012, nuestra policía local realizó 707 arrestos individuales por drogas, aprendieron a 53 individuos por robo, arrestaron a 5 individuos por asal-tos serios, 32 personas por violaciones a la ley de Armas y Explosivos, capturaron a 5 individuos con órdenes de detención e hicieron 262 arrestos por violencia doméstica y por otras violaciones. Además de esas detenciones 21 armas de fuego, 53 cuchillos, 41 proyectiles y 15 autos fueron confiscados sin incluir una gran cantidad de drogas incluyendo mariguana, plantas de mariguana, co-caína, crack, y otras drogas.

Sin duda sin estas armas nuestra área es mucho más segura ahora que antes.

Sin embargo, mientras estos son exce-lentes resultados el reforzamiento de la ley puede siempre hacerlo mejor espe-cialmente si el público empieza a tomar responsabilidad por su propia seguridad especialmente aquellos negocios e indi-viduos que son considerados ¨blancos fáciles¨. Yo he vivido en Costa Rica por casi 18 años y nunca me han asaltado. En mi lugar de negocio tuvimos un robo el cual resultó ser un trabajo desde adentro y el autor fue tratado apropia-

damente. La seguridad debe ser toma-da enserio y con muchos servicios profesionales locales de seguridad disponibles no hay excusa para no tomar los pasos apropiados y solicitar una revisión de sus medidas de segu-ridad en el lugar.

Casi todos los dispositivos modernos de seguridad están ahora disponibles que van desde los guardaespaldas privados, guardas armados, botones de pánico, alarmas silenciosas, detec-tores de movimiento, sistema de cir-cuito cerrado de vigilancia, perros entrenados, y otros aparatos. Com-prenda que gastar en seguridad es una inversión en su seguridad, los seres queridos y sus huéspedes y pue-de evitar desagradables experiencias traumáticas. El crimen nunca va a desaparecer pero usted puede ayudar haciendo lo que debe hacer endure-ciendo el perímetro de su hogar o su lugar de negocio antes que los mal-hechores tengan una oportunidad de entrar a través de su primer recurso de defensa.

Usted también debe darse cuenta que los fondos para el reforzamiento de la ley pública son severamente limitados y que en áreas como las nuestras de vez en cuando el sector privado necesita hacerle frente al apo-yo logístico del departamento de polic-

ía manteniendo el motor pool del de-partamento de policía en buenas con-diciones. Hay muy pocos vehículos para el área del tamaño del Cantón de Aguirre (493km2) y las ¾ partes de las patrullas disponibles funcionan 24/7 y están en constante necesidad

de mantenimiento. Su Comité de Segu-ridad se encuentra haciendo lo que está en sus manos para apoyar el re-forzamiento de la ley pero depende de donaciones especiales para apoyar a la policía (las cuotas que usted paga nun-ca son usadas para este tipo de apoyo financiero). Si nadie aparece o nadie dona hay muy poco que podamos hacer más que mantener nuestros de-dos cruzados. Cuando una llamada de emergencia entra al #911 el operador necesitará enviar una patrulla basado en prioridad y disponibilidad la cual puede ser problemático en un país tan grande como el nuestro.

A recent uptick in local crime incidents is sending panic through our community and I have been receiving numerous calls for infor-mation and questions about whether crime is once again, out of control. Recent statistics show another story and shows that inci-dents for the period ending De-cember 2012 are down 58% from the previous year.

During 2012, our local police made 707 individual drug arrests, apprehended 53 individuals for robbery, arrested 5 individuals for serious assault, 32 people for vio-lations of the Arms & Explosives Law, captured 5 individuals with Arrest Warrants and made 262 arrests for domestic violence and for other violations. Besides those arrests 21 fire arms, 53 knives, 41 projectiles and 15 cars were con-fiscated not including large amount of drugs including mari-juana, marijuana plants, cocaine, crack and other drugs. Without question with these weapons off the streets our area is much safer than before.

However, while these are excel-lent results law enforcement can always do better especially if the public starts taking responsibility for their own safety especially those businesses and individuals that are considered “easy tar-gets”. I have lived in Costa Rica for almost 18 years and have never been assaulted. In my place of business we had one robbery which turned out to be an inside job and the perpetrator was prop-

erly dealt with. Security has to be taken serious and with several local professional security services available there is no excuse for not taking the proper steps and re-quest a review of your security measures in place.

Almost all modern security de-vices are now available ranging from private body guards, armed guards, panic buttons, silent alarms, motion detectors, close circuit surveillance system, trained working dogs and other gadgets. Understand that spending on se-curity is an investment in your safety, your loved ones and your guests and can avoid unpleasant traumatic experiences. Crime will never go away but you can help by doing what you should do and try to harden the perimeter of your home or your place of business before the bad guys have a chance to break-through your first line of defense.

You also must realize that funds for public law enforcement are severely limited and that in areas such as ours, from time to time, the private sector needs to step up to the plate to provide logisti-cal support to the police depart-ment in the form of keeping the motor pool of the police depart-ment in working condition. There are far too few police vehicles for an area the size of the Canton de Aguirre (493km2) and the 3/4 pa-trol cars available run 24/7 and are in constant need of mainte-nance. Your Chamber Security Committee is doing what it can to

support local law enforcement but depend on special fundraisers to support the police (your member dues are never used for these type of financial support). If nobody shows up or nobody donates there is little more we can do than keep our fin-gers crossed. When an emergency #911 call is received the dispatcher will need to send a patrol vehicle based on priority and availability which can be problematic in a county as large as ours.

A lgunos nunca habíamos salido de Costa Rica. Por eso cuando el avión rumbo a Venezuela despego con rumbo a Venezuela a representar a

la tricolor, se materializo un sueño. Para que se hagan realidad los sueños es indispensable el trabajo duro. Cuando arrancamos lo único que sabíamos a ciencia cierta de la bella Vene-zuela fue que Chaves era presidente y que las olas presentaban condiciones difíciles. El sue-ño de un mundial nació con el buen desempe-ño en el circuito nacional, en donde se abrió

invitación a los primeros lugares del ranking para formar parte de la selección nacional. Quepos viajamos 4 atletas en categorías junior (tanto femenino como masculino) y open. Así como el team manager nacional y mi persona como delegada de prensa.

Gracias al apoyo del pueblo de Quepos fue posible lograr una mayor exposición del bodyboard así como la recolección de fon-dos para cubrir el viaje. La Selección Nacio-nal logro el quinto lugar en el Mundial ISA (International Surfing Association). También el joven Emilio Vargas oriundo de Boca Vieja de Quepos obtuvo la medalla de bronce en la categoría junior (Menor de 18 años). El talento costarricense se evidencio

en los resultados.

Lo que empezó como un sueño, se hizo realidad con el trabajo duro de toda las per-sonas que de alguna manera apoyaron el proyecto. En Quepos hay talento, hay empre-sas y personas anuentes a colaborar. En los Fogueos Nacionales Rumbo al Mundial Vene-zuela quedo en evidencia que lo mejor esta por venir. Los nuevos atletas cuentan con gran nivel, por lo cual es un hecho que Que-pos seguirá mostrando su talento en el agua. Aprovechamos para agradecer a la Cámara de Comercio, Industria y Turismo de Aguirre por toda la ayuda incondicional con que con-tamos desde el primer día.

S ome of us have never gone out of Costa Rica. Reason why the airplane to Venezuela took off to represent the tricolor, the dream came true. Hard

work is needed in order to make dreams come true. When we started the only thing we knew about Venezuela was that Chávez was the President and that the waves were difficult. The dream of a ISA World was born with the good performance in the national circuit, whe-re the invitation was opened to the first places

of the ranking to be part of the national team. From Quepos are travelling 4 athletes in Junior (both female and masculine) and open categories. Just like the national team manager and myself as the press delegate.

Thanks to the support of the town of Que-pos it was possible to achieve a better expo-sure of the bodyboard just like the fundrai-sing to cover the trip. The National Team won the fifth place at the ISA World (International Surfing Association). Also the young Emilio Vargas native of Boca Vieja of Quepos won the bronze medal in the junior category (younger than 18 years old.) The costarrican talent was evidenced in the results.

What started as a dream, it came true with the hard work of all the people that some-how supported the project. There is talent in Quepos, there are companies and people willing to help. During the Nacional Trainings on the go to the ISA World it was evidenced that the best is about to come. The new ath-letes count with great level, reason why is a fact that Quepos will continue showing it´s talent in the water. We want to take this opportunity to thank the Chamber of Com-merce, Industry and Tourism of Aguirre for all the unconditional help we received from day one.

Situación del sector turístico: ¿En crisis?

Nuestro sector turístico ha sido considerado por años como “La gallina de los huevos de oro”, y efectivamente así ha sido en tanto, que ha permitido repartir riqueza en todas las regio-nes del país creando empleo, estimulando el surgimiento de emprendedores en zonas depri-midas, favoreciendo la compra de productos agrícolas a mejores precios en el propio lugar de cultivo, llevando infraestructura pública a luga-res alejados, siendo el principal captador de divisas y aportando al PIB nacional hasta un 8.5% en sus mejores años.

Todo esto se logró con un verdadero apoyo por parte de los gobiernos de turno en su momento, iniciando ese gran desarrollo que tuvimos en los años 90 con una decidida política nacional legislativa de incentivos y esti-mulo de inversión. Sin duda, por unos 15 años fuimos los líderes en desarrollo y atracción de turismo de la Región Cen-troamericana. Por desgracia la falta de visión inexplicable de los Gobernantes más recientes ha debilitado y hasta per-seguido al sector privado turístico, ocasio-nando que esa bonanza se acabe. Duran-te los últimos veinte años las leyes que incentivaron el turismo han sido comple-tamente cercenadas y los procedimientos se han cargado de toda clase de obstácu-los y requisitos adicionales; y por el con-trario todos nuestros competidores de la región se hicieron más competitivos cuando copiaron nuestras leyes, las mejoraron y hoy día se han llevado a sus lares inversionistas, turistas y cru-ceros.

Ellos en forma inteligente y sostenida se han dedicado a ser facilitadores de la industria turís-tica nacional en tanto nosotros nos hemos dedi-cado en forma metódica y creciente a entorpe-cer la nuestra con una tramitología exasperante, con encarecimiento del producto turístico en sus bases de desarrollo, operación y financia-miento.

Se ha vuelto usual la respuesta de las institu-ciones al decir “cómo no” y se les olvido que el “cómo sí” es lo que nos da de comer a todos.

Nos han hecho quedar atrás y perdemos todos los días la oportunidad de mantenernos como líderes y lo más triste es que estamos perdien-do una gran oportunidad, pues seguimos sien-do considerados como el país número uno en la mente de todos para visitar. La competitivi-dad se ha perdido en momentos en que hay crisis mundial, los principales mercados emiso-res de turismo hacia Costa Rica - Estados Uni-dos y Europa – están en crisis, viajan menos, por menos tiempo y gastan menos.

Nuestra reacción ante esta crisis de nuestros clientes ha sido salirnos de mercado. Para muestra un botón:

EL DÓLAR SE HA DEVALUADO: Los ingresos son en dólares. Desde agosto del 2009 a no-viembre del 2011 se devaluó en un 14.6 % al pasar de un tipo de cambio de ȼ587 a ȼ500, donde se ha mantenido por el ultimo año. Esto significa una gran disminución de ingresos y un gran aumento del costo para nuestros clientes que vienen con dólares.

LOS COSTOS SUBEN: Según el Instituto de Estadística y Censos de Septiembre del 2009 a diciembre del 2012 los precios de bienes y servicios han aumentado en un 17%. En el mismo periodo los servicios de agua se incre-mentaron en un 27.6%, el diesel aumentó un 24.95. Los salarios según el Banco Central, basado en estudios del Ministerio de Trabajo

han aumentado en un 22.8% en el mismo periodo.

Amanecimos el 2013 con un nuevo aumen-to de AyA el cual puede llegar hasta un 100%. Estos datos nos ponen en sobre aviso de una eminente crisis por aumento de costos y disminución de ingresos. Durante este periodo el sector privado turístico ha disminuido su mano de obra en aproxima-damente 15.000 empleados directos, ten-dencia que seguirá aumentando si no para-mos la escalada de costos, o si se da, como se habla de bajar el tipo de cambio, o la banda inferior del tipo de cambio del Banco

Central. Esta última decisión es comple-tamente inaceptable para el sector, pues no solo ocasionará despidos masivos, sino la quiebra de las empresas y parti-cularmente afectaría a los más peque-ños hoteles y empresarios, que son el 80% de la industria turística.

Dentro de este grave contexto, solicita-mos a la Asamblea Legislativa tramitar las leyes necesarias para evitar que los capitales “Golondrina”, sigan presionan-do el tipo de cambio hacia abajo. Igual-mente, solicitamos al Gobierno Central tomar en cuenta la problemática del sector y evitar a toda costa una apertura

o incluso eliminación de las bandas cambia-rias del Banco Central en este momento.

Los instamos a mantener una política de estabilización, disminución del gasto público e incentivo a la Industria Turística del país para que pueda de nuevo ser competitiva, y así poder mantener a los más de 400.000 empleados que trabajan aun en el sector. Hace un par de años éramos casi 500.000.

sector: Is it in crisis? Our tourism industry has been considered for years as "the goose that laid the golden egg", and indeed it has been so long, that has allowed wealth spread in all regions of the country by creating jobs, stimulating the emergence of entrepreneurs in deprived areas, encouraging purchase of agricultural products at better prices at the place of cultivation, leading public infrastructure to remote locations, the main gauge of foreign exchange and contributing to national GDP up 8.5% in its best years.

All this was achieved with a real support from the government in power at the time, starting this great development we had in the 90's with a strong national policy and legislative encouragement of investment incentives. Certainly, for 15 years we were the leaders in tourism develop-ment and attraction of the Central Re-gion.

Unfortunately the lack of vision unex-plained Rulers latest weakened and even chased the private tourism sector, caus-ing the boom is over. During the last twenty years the laws that encouraged tourism have been completely severed and procedures are loaded from all ob-stacles and requirements, and instead all of our competitors in the region became more competitive when they copied our laws, improved and today have taken their dollars investors, tourists and cruise ships.

They sustained wisely and have dedicated themselves to be facilitators of the national tourism industry as we have spent in a methodi-cal and increasingly hinder our with exasperat-ing paperwork with rising tourism product in their database development, operation and financing.

It has become usual response of institutions to say "why not" and were forgetting that the "as if" is what feeds us all.

We have been left behind and lose the opportu-

nity every day to keep us as leaders and the sad thing is that we are losing a great opportu-nity, because we are still considered as the number one country in the minds of all to visit.

Competitiveness has lost at times when there global crisis, the main markets for tourism to Costa Rica - United States and Europe - are in crisis, travel less, for less time and spend less.

Our reaction to this crisis has been our cus-tomers get out of the market. For just one example:

The dollar has devalued : revenues are in dol-lars. From August 2009 to November 2011 was devalued by 14.6%, from a rate of 587 ȼ ȼ 500, where it has remained for the past year. This means a large reduction in income and a large increase in the cost to our customers who come with dollars.

UP COSTS: According to the Institute of Statis-tics and Census of September 2009 to Decem-ber 2012 prices of goods and services have increased by 17%. In the same period water services increased by 27.6%, diesel rose 24.95.

Wages according to the Central Bank, based on studies by the Ministry of Labour have increased by 22.8% over the same period.

Woke up in 2013 with a further increase AyA which can reach 100%.

These data put on alert of an imminent crisis increased revenues and decreased costs. During this period the private tourism sector has reduced its workforce by approxi-mately 15,000 direct employees, a trend that will continue to increase if we do not stop the escalation of costs, or if there is, as

we talk of lowering the exchange rate or the lower band exchange rate of the Central Bank.

This latest decision is completely unacceptable to the industry, be-cause not only will cause layoffs, but the bankruptcy of enterprises and particularly affect smaller ho-tels and businesses, which are 80% of the tourism industry.

Within this critical context, we ask the Legislature to process the nec-essary laws to prevent capital "Swallow", continue pushing the exchange rate down.

Also request the Central Govern-ment to consider the problems of the sector and at all costs avoid

opening or removing Central Bank exchange rate bands at this time.

We urge you to maintain a policy of stabili-zation, reduced public spending and incen-tives for tourism industry so you can be competitive again, so you can keep more than 400,000 employees working in the sector yet. A couple of years ago we were almost 500,000.

Henry Arroyo, Librería Génesis to the Chamber and we look forward to working with you in helping improve the busi-ness and living environment of

the entire Canton de Aguirre. We are looking forward to meeting with all of you individually to see what we can do to help you as a Chamber and how you can help us with your experience in your particular field. Each new mem-ber will be allotted a space in our Newsletter so they have an op-portunity to introduce their busi-ness to our community. The Can-ton de Aguirre has more than 1500 active business licenses and a population of close to 28.000 residents. Most all major busi-nesses are member of our Cham-ber of Commerce, Industry and

Be active and help us lobby the respective gov-ernmental agencies in San Jose and at the local level for continuous improvements to our way of live in the place we call home.
