as a student?

by Claire (Ching) Chen, UC Davis

A right company (or boss)

• A vision that you agree with

• A product you would use and share by heart

• A legal and proper business model

• Appropriate for a student

• Feasible marketing plans

Marketing campaigns Online and Offline

Offline: Tabling, Flyers • Design a neat flyer with clear

messages

• Post them in public area

• Approach people and let them know what problem can be solved by this product

• Promote special deals or awards

Offline: Game• Attract people to do action

(ex. download, “like”, share, etc.) by an interesting game

• Small budget, promised result

• But…it could be really exhausting and frustrating

Online: Facebook • Promote/share every offline campaign on Facebook

• Share the product in a non-advertised way

• Inbox potential users with personalized content

Online to Offline • Meet the award recipient

• Let users be the product endorsers

Time to recruit partners

When you meet a bottleneck, it’s time to recruit more partners. While promoting recruiting information, you

can also get more exposure and raise the awareness of the brand at the same time.

Efficacy Online >> Offline

Questions to ask yourself

• How to get them to an "Aha Moments as quickly as possible?!
