    Established on 21st March, 2011, and located at No.2500, Jungong Road, Yangpu District, Shanghai China, SAIC Motor Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SMCV) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAIC MOTOR CORPORATION LIMITED. With the registered capital of 2.35 billion RMB, SMCV owns one wholly-owned subsidiary companyWuxi Shenlian Special Purpose Vehicle Co., Ltd.

    In the year of 2014, SMCV and SMCVTC (SAIC Motor Commercial Vehicle Technical Venter) completed the full integration of management, and technical resources, focusing on the demand for national brand development strategy, business car customization, and rapid response of the market, thus improving the core R & D capability and reaching the planning objectives in stages.

    As the production base of SMCV, Wuxi Base manufactures V80 and G10, covering light bus, MPV, van, minibus and etc. under two brands: MAXUS and LDV. After the completion of the Phase III of Wuxi Base, an annual product capability will reach to 200,000 with V80, G10, Pick-up and SUV, nearly 500 series of products.

    MAXUS has become one of the most influential brands in commercial vehicle industry, and honored to serve for the APEC and other international affairs. Meantime, overseas business has expanded in great momentum, covering more than 30 countries and regions, with a CKD plant in Malaysia and a joint-venture company in Thailand also been set up. The export volume ranks No.1 among indigenous auto brand in the segment. In the end of 2014, MAXUS has been exported to Ireland, accomplishing the first step of brand strategy of Back to Europe. In the future, MAXUS plans to export to Britain, hold the share of Holland and Turkey, and other EU market, and then the world.

    In 2014, SMCV obtain overall harvest in domestic and foreign market. Through innovations, SMCV has undertaken many first steps in auto industry, promoting the development of the industry overall, aiming at Gear it up. Brighten future.

    In 2014, the sales volume of SMCV rises to 21012 units. V80 sales reach to 17050, with the market share more than 12%. By providing the service for the APEC and other international activities many times, G10 has been established the brand impression of "MPV for ambassador". As for the overseas business, the market share of MAXUS in New Zealand and Australia reaches to 15%, becoming the first in the domestic exports of light passenger widebody field. At the end of 2014 LDV was successfully exported to Ireland, accomplishing the first step of brand strategy of "Back to Europe".

    To adapt to the market and meet user demand, SMCV keeps the development by constant innovations. In 2014, SMCV has launched the V80 Hybrid and EV80, with highlights of "the world's highest level of technology and the longest mileage", 2015 model of V80, equipped with AMT automatic transmission technology. At present, the MAXUS has formed more than 300 series and 500 products layout, with annual market incremental contribution rate of 70%.

    Commercial vehicle business is taken as the core of SAIC Motor, from which SMCV got a full range of support in talents, capital, R & D, products, technology, brand and other resources. Relying on SAIC Motor, in 2015, SMCV will continue to grasp the market and consumer trends, to rich the product series through innovations, to realize theGear it up. Brighten future. At the same time, the sales volume will exceed 30,000 units, attaining 40,000 units.

    Wuxi Base Phase III project has officially started. After the completion, the product line can meet the manufacturing of V80, G10, pickup, SUV and special modified vehicle production demand, and the annual output will reach 200,000 units. MAXUS will participate in a wider range of competition. In the future, MAXUS is committed to become the "industry leader", entering a new round of development of the golden ten years.

    Research and Development

    SMCVTC keeps ongoing new product development work such as G10and V80, initially improves the research and development ability from the retrofitting development to new models, and achieves the established goal ahead of the 12th Five Year plan. Adhere to the market orientation in the professional R & D capacity, SMCVTC makes full use of the capability of construction project investment, short board rapid increased to realize the coordinated development. The ability of product definition, commercial vehicle seat design, CAE analysis, a series of calibration, virtual electronic architecture development, vehicle and system validation ability has made great progress, meanwhile SMCVTVC establishes perceived quality development, parts and materials testing analysis, chassis system integration, new energy development and EIC ability, which provides the powerful safeguard for the synchronous development of subsequent three architecture and 4+N platforms.
