    SORMAT CHEMICAL SOLUTIONSSormat offers a wide range of chemical anchoring solutions for the building and construction industry.

    These resin-based systems can be used to x a wide variety of components and xtures directly to

    different base materials. Each system has been designed to meet the high performance standards

    of the construction industry and is manufactured within the internationally recognized ISO 9001:2000

    Quality System.

    Sormat comprehensive chemical anchoring solutions consists of two different kind of anchoring

    methods and a large variety of accessories. Sormat ITH resins are 2-componet, solid plastic cartridge

    based, fast curing injection resins systems for chemical fastenings and Sormat KEM/KEMLA arefactory premeasured and sealed glass capsule anchors.

    In general chemical anchoring solutions have additional benets in applications which require egg.

    DETERMINING THE RIGHTANCHORING METHODThe functioning of all types of chemical anchors is based on the adhesion of the resin to the wall of

    the bore hole and the threaded rod/rebar. It is of the utmost importance to comprehend the difference

    between the various Sormat anchoring solutions (see next pages) available and other factors related

    to the installation. When determining the right anchoring solution understanding of the application

    requirements is necessary, for example:

    Drill a hole according to the installation parameters. Diamond drilled holes must be coarsed. Clean the hole properly from drilling dust with a brush or airblow. It is not

    recommended to clean the hole with water, because a damp hole will double the curing time. Open the plastic pack inside the cartridge by cutting the head off. Inject resininto the hole and ll the hole up to 2/3. Install the stud into the hole and turn it few times to spread the resin evenly around the stud. Observe the curing- and gel times before

    putting load on the anchor. Mount the xture and tighten the nut to right torque shown in the installation parameters table.

    Drill a hole(s) with a rotary hammer. If masonry is used switch the hammering action off. Insert the IOV sleeve or ISH steel wire net into the hole. Inject resin into the hole

    and ll the hole completely. Install the stud into the hole and turn a few rounds to spread the resin evenly around the stud. Observe the curing- and gel times before putting

    load on the anchor. Attach the xture to the cured anchoring.

    Sormat ITH 380 W is a rapid curing two part chemical anchoring cartridge system based on a unsaturated resin with

    good performance

    good performance. Specially developed using a high reactivity resin enabling it to be used in extreme conditions at

    CHEMICAL ANCHORSKEM

    KEM, a chemical anchor for threaded studs and bars. As other chemical anchors, fastening

    the KEM creates no strain in the embedment, so installations close to edge are allowed.

    KEM has also the ability to bear dynamic loads and can be installedunderwater

    underwater . With KEM

     you have minimal risk of installation errors because there is a guaranteed 100 % llingguaranteed 100 % lling of

    bore hole in each fastening. Can be installed at very low temperatureslow temperatures -40 °C.

    Drill a hole according to installation parameters. Diamond drilled holes must be coarsed. Clean the hole properly from drilling dust with a brush and airblow. Insert the capsule

    in the hole. Ensure that the liquid inside the capsule is moving when the capsule is handwarm. Install the stud into the hole by using a drilling machine with impact. Use the

    setting tool. Observe the curing- and gel time needed before putting load on the anchor. Mount the xture and tighten the nut to right torque shown in the table above.

    CHEMICAL ANCHORSKEMLA

    KEMLA, the hammer capsule is a chemical anchor for threaded studs and rebarsrebars (reinforcement bars). KEMLA is easy

    to install, no special toolsno special tools are needed, just drill a hole, insert the capsule and hammer the stud in. As other chemical

    anchors, fastening with KEMLA no strain in the embedment is created, so installations close to edge are allowed. KEMLA

    has also the ability to bear dynamic loads.
