Core 40 Requirements
• 8 English Credits
• 6 Math Credits (Algebra I,
Geometry, Algebra II) *Must take Quantitative Methods class each year
• 6 Science Credits (Biology,
Choice of ICP/Chemistry/Physics, Choice of Science Elective)
• 6 Social Studies Credits (Geography or World Civilizations, US History, US Government, and Economics)
• 1 Health Credit
• 2 PE Credits
• 5 Credits from any of the following areas:
– World Language
– Fine Arts
– Career Tech (C4)
• 6 Elective Credits
Academic Honors (AHD) Requirements
• Meet Core 40 Requirements
• 2 additional math credits
• 2 Fine Arts Credits
• World Language
– 6 Credits (same language) OR
– 8 Credits (4 credits in two different languages)
• C or better in all courses
• GPA of B or better
• One of the following:
– 4 AP credits (2 AP courses)
– 6 Dual Credits (2 dual credit courses)
– 2 AP credits (1 AP course)
AND 3 Dual Credits (1 dual credit course)
– Composite 1750 or higher on SAT
– Composite 26 or higher on ACT
Technical Honors (THD) Requirements*
• Meet Core 40 Requirements
• One of the following: – 6 Dual Credits in a career
pathway (2 CTE dual credit courses)
– A state-approved industry certification
• C or better in all courses • GPA of B or better
• One of the following: – Qualifying Scores on
WorkKeys, Accuplacer, or Compass tests
– One of the following • 4 AP credits (2 AP courses)
• 6 Dual Credits (2 dual credit courses)
• 2 AP credits (1 AP course) AND 3 Dual Credits (1 dual credit course)
• Composite 1750 or higher on SAT
