THE MENU

Working closely with star Chef, Ross Panginalian, an elegant menu was crafted with the inspiration of 1970s California classics, like hearts of palm and avocado, each course bearing Jackson Browne’s lyrics and song titles to carry the theme through in a playful way. Printing and materials for the menus and escort cards were donated entirely by Envelopments, an Orange County-based stationery vendor.

42ND ANNUAL CANDLELIGHT CONCERT

“It was the kind of night that would have made Henry T. Segerstrom proud.” – Ann Conway, Coast Magazine

Candlelight Concert 2015 honored its founding Chairman Henry Segerstrom and raised more than $2 million with the leadership of the “Candlelight Quartet” Marta & Raj Bhathal and Kelly & Jim Mazzo to inspire the love of the arts in Orange County’s most prestigious luminaries.

Following an intimate performance by Jazz legend, Diana Krall, who dedicated the song “In My Life” to Mr. Segerstrom, the curtain lifted for the anxiously awaited reveal: The stage of Segerstrom Hall, transformed into a stunning ballroom where guests were seated for a beautiful dinner gazing out into the vast red theater twinkling with tea lights, and later danced the night away to KC and the Sunshine Band.

With an eye to the evening’s theme “All the World’s a Stage” twenty foot screens surrounding the stage featured images of performances presented on the Center’s stages from 3 different places in the world—St. Petersburg, Manhattan, and Paris. Each city visited was paired with a delicious course inspired by that locale, with caviar and vodka served in ice shot glasses, New York chophouse-style steak and sides, and a sweets bar that was exquisitely French.
