近千名風箏愛好者於三月廿六日上午參與由大奧蘭多市文化事

務署主辦的「第二屆大奧蘭多市國際風箏節」，齊享各項風箏活動的樂趣。天朗氣清涼風陣陣，活動由十一時開始，區內市民聞風而至，風箏節舉行位處東奧蘭多Jay Blanchard Park內，公園佔地甚廣，內有一條連接至市中心的廿多公哩單車徑，YMCA室內體育館亦設置在公園內。

　大會安排送出風箏製作套件給首五百位小朋友，故一早便已築起排隊的小朋友人龍。東奧市83消防分局的消防員不辭勞苦發揮貢獻精神，一大清早七時抵達現場，協助現場佈置及擔起燒熱狗的責任，食物是免費提供參與的居民。Publix超市則送出大量蒸餾水。現場還有各類健康教育，安全知識和商業推廣的攤位等。

　大會司儀由本地十三號電視台派出節目主播擔任司儀，Orange County Commissioner Mildred Fernandez十一

時半為大會致詞，「第二屆大奧蘭多市國際風箏節」正式展開，接著由中佛州中美協會本屆會長周曼宜律師代表協會致贈中國手繪飛龍風箏給市議員，手繪飛龍風箏專程由中國訂製，風箏延伸達廿多尺長，龍首製作唯妙唯肖，龍身由近五十多片圓型組成，片上繪有不同京劇面譜圖案，巧奪天工，區議員接過手工精美的飛龍風箏後笑逐顏開，並謂會好好珍藏。

　中佛州中華學校同學演出富有民族特色的中國雜技：轉碟和彩帶舞。穿上傳統中國服裝的二男和十二位少女同學，成為全場的焦點所在。兩位男同學揮舞美國國旗領眾出場，更演出高難度單手翻筋斗動作，眾女同學接著出場邊轉動手中銀碟的

同時，演出不同類型難度的拗腰及一字馬動作，再來便是彩帶舞演出，十二位同學揮舞彩帶配以國樂，配襯藍天白雲簡直是一幅色彩豐富的美麗圖畫。

　那邊廂表演台不遠處由ｈawai ian Kiteworks派出專人示範放風箏，他放上一隻超巨型八爪魚風箏，此巨型八爪魚風箏有近百尺長，八爪魚觸鬚在風中飛舞好不威風，操控這巨型風箏的風箏專家表示，他專誠為今次國際風箏節而研製的，屬於全新設計。他之所以能夠一個人操控如此巨型風箏，秘密在於首先採用粗近一吋直徑尼龍繩作為風箏線，再配以滑輪組合令到巨型風箏自然

地隨風緩緩上升，操控一端預早固定在場地上的一棵大樹上，利用大自然之力量來操控此巨型風箏。Bob繼續再接上另一隻巨型深海怪魚風箏，此風箏約首尾有近六十尺長。置身其下有如觀看荷李活科幻電影，外星大怪物侵襲地球般，很是刺激！

　公園面積廣濶，最適合放風箏此類活動，大小朋友都自備風箏來玩，款式不再是菱形那麼單調了，有飛天消

防車、大海龜、鯊魚、貓頭鷹、噴射機等。小朋友玩得最開心，天公造美，當日風勢強勁，連首次放風箏的筆者也可以輕易將風箏放至高空之上。近百隻風箏與巨型八爪魚，大怪魚風箏齊在藍天之下飛舞，難得一見之場

面。當天有到場的大小朋友都渡過一個相當愉快的周日假期。

2nd Annual International Kite Feston March 26th at the Jay Blanchard Park in East Orlando

The 2nd Annual International Kite Festival was recently held on March 26th at the Jay Blanchard Park in East Orlando. This event was sponsored by District 3 Commissioner Mildred Fernandez to promote multi-cultural unity. Besides kite demonstrations, there were performances by various cul-tural groups and a broad range of informational displays and booths. The most memorable event of the day was the presentation of a hand-crafted dragon kite, presented by Chinese American Association of Central Florida, to Commissioner Fernandez. The dragon kite was specially ordered and custom made in China. It was over 20 feet long and made up of 50 delicate pieces of Chinese opera masks. It was a true treasure of Chinese craftman-ship. The presentation was followed by performances from the Chinese School of Orlando. They executed a perfect choreographed acrobatic and ribbon dance.How could we talk about the International Kite Festival without mentioning the excitement of the children when they received their free kite kits. Also, Hawaiian Kiteworks had professionals demonstrating different techniques of kite flying. They flew a giant Octopus kite which was almost a hundred feet long!! The weather was perfect for kite flying that day and everyone seemed to have a great time!

各位敬愛的中佛州中華學校的家長、同學、老師，諸位舊知和新朋友們：

　大家好！一轉眼，二○○五學年度即將結束。回顧這一年來學校擴大招生，開辦二十多班必修語文課與十多班選修文化課，又加強了學術競賽和文化節令各種活動。在學生們勇猛上進的學習精神下，老師們春風化雨的認真教學中，以及家長們熱烈配合的同步進行上，今年很慶幸的，中華學校得以順利拓大進展海外華文教育，末學謹在此向諸位敬上最高的敬意和謝意，希望大家不斷努力，再接再厲，共同達成延續並發揚光大中華民族固有文化的使命！

　校內最後一個重要活動，也是同學們辛苦了一年後最期待，最受矚目的結業典禮將於五月十三日下午三點鐘於學校餐廳舉行，頒發表揚優秀學習獎、全勤獎、演講卓越獎、以及畢業獎學金等。此外，中華學校同學們亦將以歌舞、功夫雜技，還有逗趣的話劇方式，演出展示所學，和大家再次分享一年來學習中文的心得，勉勵同學重視中文的重要，不要中途輟學，而要恒續持久，以達最高效率，屆時歡迎大家蒞臨參加，多多指導！

Congratulations to all of the above Speech contest winners! The school is proud of you! Thanks also for joining in the PTA Game

Day last April 8th. I am sure you all had fun. Next, mark in your cal-endar the following two important dates:

1. May 13th is the last day of school. At 2pm, attend your language class for Final exam. At 3pm, come to cafeteria for the Closing Cer-emony. Speech Award, Academic Award, Graduation Scholarship, Perfect Attendance Award, Teacher Award….along with dance, skit, kung fu will be presented. At 5pm, ceremony is over. School is closed for the entire summer vacation till Fall, 2006. Don’t forget to take home your summer homework package. Teacher will collect the homework no later than 2pm, Saturday of August 19th. Please keep up your Chinese skill,

2. August 19th is the first day of school for next term. At 2pm, students attend the language course while parents come to cafeteria to enroll their students. At 4pm, there is an open house for parents to meet teachers in their respective students’ classroom. At least 23 lan-guage classes will be offered in the Fall 2006 plus more than twelve cultural classes, including New Basic Computer Chinese Typing course, Yoga and the return of NEW SAT and others. 金文德 Gary King　金文德醫師出生於紐約長島。他的父母出生於中國大陸，

後移居台灣，再移居美國留學。金醫師畢業於紐約Stony Brook 大學人類生物學系。後續於喬治亞州Life University取得脊骨神經科（Chiropractic）醫學博士學位。有近七年臨床經驗。在亞特蘭大開業五年，治愈數千病患。他積極參加各種公益活動，定期參加華人義診回饋社會。最近喬遷弗州開設痛症診療中心，治療脊椎痛症和各種軟組織受傷。

Dr. Gary King completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology at Stony Brook University in New York. He was awarded his Doctorate Degree in Chiropratic at Life University in Georgia.
