Former CBS Student Deputy Head Prefect 2016
Congratulations to Te Ohorere Williams who will be deputy head prefect at
Westlake Girls’ High School next year. Te Ohorere was a wonderful student at
CBS, graduating in 2009 with the major arts - drama award.
Here is what Westlake Girls’ newsletter has to say about
Te Ohorere............. ’Te Ohorere Williams is a very positive
and able role model, as well as a top academic student. Te
Ohorere is a member of Choralation and in the NZ
Secondary Students’ Choir. She served on her House
service sub-committee, as a Smart Swan tutor and
competes nationally as a surf life-saver among many
sporting interests.’
It is always wonderful to learn about former CBS students.

Campbells Bay Community Forest 2015
Campbells Bay School is very grateful to the school community and local residents for supporting the weeding and
upkeep sessions for the forest held during 2015. The children love contributing and being in the forest, so the weed cover
has been reduced markedly. Thank you to the parents and teachers for their enthusiasm, making the weeding project
easier.
Richard Hursthouse (one of the originators of the forest) and other outside agencies have been working to help rid the
forest of persistent plant pests, and this has helped greatly.
Thank you everybody for your help, and in 2016 we will continue the good work .The school appreciates the effort made.
Thanks, Jenny Hunter, Community Forest Champion

that is music in schools across Auckland. Thanks to Jenny Watt, our choir leader for this choir and to everybody from
CBS who participated, including the wonder CBS dancers under the direction of Nicole Rowland. Pictured below right,
