Welcome Letter Teachers, Parents & Dancers We would like to welcome you to the Carson Kennedy Academy Feis 2018, held in Corpus Christi College, Belfast on Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd September. This is a great practice for dancers who will be attending upcoming major competitions, as well as a great run out for grade dancers. In Open & Prelim Championships there will be a recall if more than 20. Dancers who don’t make the recall will be given the result of their placement before the recall. Preliminary Championships will be incorporated into the Open Championship and will be based on the result of Round 1 & Round 2. Detail Result packs will be available for purchase after the result is announced. There will be separate boy competitions if sufficent number of boys to split. There will be a canteen serving food and drinks. A results room will be set up to help with the smooth running on the day of the feis. Dancers will be yet again indulged in fabulous prizes for all levels. Entry Details If teachers could e-mail [email protected] championship details before the 14th September to help with the smooth running of the event. Grade dancers an entry sheet is attached for you to fill out, and you can e-mail entry details to [email protected] before the event and proceed to the fast track entry table to simply Pay & Collect. Grade Exams We will be offering grade exams (1-12) on Saturday 22nd September at the venue of the feis, and all details can be found on our Facebook page. We have strict deadlines for the grade exams, as there is a lot of organising for the exams prior to the event. Please follow Carson Kennedy Facebook page for updates. Top 5 in Trophy Dances, Championships & Priomh Comortas will receive sashes & Trophies.
Rules
1)! Adjudicators decision is final. 2)! Ages as at 1st January 2018. 3)! No Refunds. 4)! Objections in writing to committee members accompanied by a fee of £20.00. 5)! The feis Committee will not accept any responsibility for personal injuries or articles lost at the
feis. 6)! Eligibility for Preliminary Championships A) Never previously won an Open Championship
B) Never won more than 3 Prelim Championships C) Not qualified for the World Championships 2017/2018.
7)! Any form of unauthorised photography will not be permitted whilst the dancers are performing on the stage.
8)! All competitions are open to dancers from all regions. 9)! In Bungrad and Tusgrad dancers must wear either class costumes or ‘Day clothes’ 10)!The feis committee reserves the right to A) Transfer competitions/results to a different hall
B) Alternate competitions C) Relief an adjudicator. 11)!Make up is not permitted for dancers in either solo or team competitions, up to and including
the Under 10 Age Group. 12)!No Block, Enpoint, Stationery or moving will be allowed for all ages up to and including Under
11.
