In uralter Zeit herrschte im Inneren des Berges Rosengarten der Zwergenkönig Laurin. Er besaß sagen-hafte Schätze, vor allem aber hatte er eine Tarnkappe, die ihn unsichtbar machen konnte. Vor dem Tor seiner Felsburg hatte er einen wunderschönen Garten, wo das ganze Jahr hindurch unzählige Rosen blüh-ten, die von einem goldenen Seidenfaden umspannt waren. Wehe dem, der es wagen sollte, auch nur eine Rose zu pflücken! Eines Tages erblickte Laurin auf einer Nachbarburg die bildschöne Prinzessin Simhild. Er verliebte sich und raubte sie. Fortan musste Simhild im Bergreich des Königs leben. So herrschte auf der Burg ihres Bruders Dietleib Trauer. Bei der Suche nach seiner Schwester traf Dietleib auf den Gotenkönig Dietrich von Bern. Mit ihm und anderen Rittern machte er sich auf zu Laurins Reich. Dietrich staunte über die Pracht der mit einem Goldfaden umzäunten Rosen, doch seine Begleiter zerrissen den goldfaden und zertrampelten die Rosen. Zornig stürmte Laurin auf seinem weißen Rösslein heran. Es kam zum Kampf. Als die Ritter Laurin seine Tarnkappe entrissen, stürzte er hilflos zu Boden und rief erzürnt: „Die Rosen haben mich verraten!“ Er musste die Sieger in sein Reich führen, so diese Simhild befreiten. Ein Zauber-fluch Laurins sollte das Leuchten des Rosengartens für immer auslöschen: „Weder der helle Tag, noch die finstere Nacht sollen die magische Rosenpracht je wieder sehen.“ Doch Laurin hatte vergessen, auch die Dämmerung zu nennen. Und so kommt es, dass vor Sonnenuntergang die tagsüber bleichen Berge immer noch rot leuchten und glühen.

C’era una volta un re…Anche questa storia comincia così, ma si tratta di un re speciale, re Laurino, che regnava su un popolo di nani ed era nano anche lui, ma ha lasciato a questa terra un dono gigantesco. Viveva in un castello fortificato sul Catinaccio, la splendida montagna dolomitica che fa da scenario a Bolzano, dove la conca di monti si apre verso est. Bene, il grande orgoglio di questo re era un bellissimo giardino di rose rosse che curava con tanto amore. I fiori, protetti e legati tra di loro con un filo di seta dorato, erano tutta la sua vita, tanto che Laurino faceva tagliare mano destra e piede sinistro a chiunque osasse reciderne uno. Oltre che dei suoi fiori, il piccolo grande re si innamorò, come spesso accade, della bella principessa del castello vicino, Similde, tanto che decise di rapirla e di portarla al suo castello, per farla vivere tra gliagi, ma in prigionia. Sennonché il fratello di Similde, disperato per la perdita dell’amata sorella, chiamò in aiuto altri cavalieri e il re dei Goti con i quali si mosse alla volta del castello di Laurino per liberare Similde. Fu così che si arrivò alla memorabile lotta, senz’altro impari, tra il piccolo re e i gi-ganteschi invasori. Non ci furono speranze per Laurino che dovette soccombere alla forza del nemico, ma, prima di morire, riuscì ancora ad esclamare le fatidiche parole: “Che né alla luce del giorno, né nelle tenebre della notte, nessuno possa mai più godere dello splendore del mio giardino!”. Aveva dimenticato, il povero Laurino, di menzionare anche quel particolare momento della giornata in cui il giorno lascia posto alla notte.Una vera fortuna! Da allora, infatti, in certi tramonti, il Catinaccio, che in tedesco si chiama Rosengarten (giardino di rose), si incendia di stupende tonalità rosate che si riflettono nell’azzurro del cielo.

----------------------King Laurin’s Tale.

Once-upon-a-time a dwarf king called Laurin lived inside the Rosengarten mountain. He owned immense riches. Above all he had a magic hood which could make him invisible. There was a magnificent garden in front of the gateway to his bastion of rock, where myriads of roses were in flower all year round, enclosed by a golden thread of silk. Woe betide anybody who dared pick even one rose! One day he caught sight of the stunningly beautiful princess Simhild in a neighbouring castle. He fell in love with her and snatched her away. From then on Simhild was forced to live in Laurin’s kingdom, and there was nothing but sorrow at the castle of her brother, Dietleib. While he was searching for his sister Dietlieb came across the king of the Goths, Dietrich von Bern. With him and other knights he made his way to Laurin’s kingdom.Dietrich marvelled at the magnificence of the roses fenced round by a thread of gold, though his men broke it and trampled on the flowers. Beside himself with rage, Laurin came charging at them on his small white steed. It came to an unequal fight. However, once the knights had pulled off his magic hood Laurin fell to the ground helpless and shouted incensed: “The roses have betrayed me!” Left with no option he led the victors into his fortress where they freed Simhild. Laurin uttered a curse on the rose garden and its beauty was extinguished for ever. He pronounced that nobody, neither by night nor by day, should ever again cast his eyes on the rose garden’s magical splendour. But he forgot to include the twilight. And that is why the mountain which is pale during the day still lights up and glows red as the sun sets.

Winston Churchill, Kaiserin Sissi, Karl May, Sie alle pflegten Ihren Sommerurlaub in Südtirol . Auch am Karersee. Sigmund Freud hat sogar in unserem Haus genächtigt. Ja, der Zauber, dass man immer wieder an diesen Ort zurückkehren möchte, erreicht wohl im Sommer seinen Höhepunkt. Die lauen Nächte, die unglaublichen Farben und das herrliche Panorama beeindrucken auch uns, die wir schon viele Jahre hier leben, immer wieder aufs Neue. Es scheint niemals selbstverständlich zu werden. Wandern, Radfahren, Golfen, Reiten. Dazu brauchen Sie bei uns nur vor die Haustür zu gehen. Lassen Sie Ihr Auto stehen und den Stressdes Alltags hinter sich.

Winston Churchill, l’imperatrice Sissi, Karl May, tutti abituati a trascorrere le loro vacanze estive in Alto Adige. Anche a Carezza. Addirittura Sigmund Freud ha fatto un pernottamento qui da noi. Sì, questa è la magia la quale porta a far ritornare in questo posto e questa magia trova il suo picco in estate. Le tiepidi notti, gli incredibili colori e il panorama spettacolare impressionano ancora noi che viviamo qui da molti anni. Sembra sempre qualcosa di nuovo e mai evidente. Escursionismo, mountain bike, golf, equitazione. Tutto questo lo ha uscendo dalla porta di casa. Lasci la sua vettura ferma come anche lo stress quotidiano... lo lasci dietro le spalle.

Wenn Sie in den Winterurlaub nach Südtirol fahren, wären Sie dann gerne im sonnigsten Schigebiet des Landes? Wäre es toll, wenn Sie ein Hotel hätten, wo Sie sich Ihre Bretter direkt vor der Haustüre anschnallen können, oder mit Ihren Kindern direkt vor dem Haus eine Rodelpartie veranstalten könnten? Gut, dass Sie uns gefunden haben! Neben der hervorragenden Lage bieten wir auch immer ein beliebtes Rahmenprogramm, wie Rodeln mit Picknick, unser Curlingturnier auf dem hauseigenen Eislaufplatz und Hüttenzauber mit Chef Hans.

Quando Lei va a fare la vacanza invernale in Alto Adige non vorrebbe stare nella località sciistica più soleggiata? Non sarebbe bello stare in un albergo, dove ci si può attaccare la tavola da snowboard direttamente dalla porta di casa o fare una gara di slittino con i vostri bambini? Bene che ci ha trovati! Oltre alla posizione strategica offriamo sempre delle attività concomitanti come andare con lo slittino e fare insieme un pic-nic, come il nostro torneo di Curling sulla nostra pista di patinaggio o il famoso “Hüttenzauber”* con lo Chef Hans.

*Hüttenzauber è una tipica espressione alto atesina. Il significato è il vivere e divertisi nel periodo invernale nelle classiche baite sudtirolesi.
