Castle Age has a bit of a learning curve, so it can be a bit confusing for first-time

players. Here's some tips and tricks to help you get ahead on Castle Age.

Where To Put Skill Points?

Every time you level up, master a quest, and sometimes when completing

achievements, you earn anywhere from 1 to 5 skill points to distribute into one of

five stats - attack, defense, energy, health, and stamina. Of these, energy and stamina

are probably the most important - energy allows you to perform more quests, while

stamina allows you to perform more attacks on other players and on epic monsters.

Third most important would be attack, as this allows you to inflict more damage on

epic monsters (and thus kill them quicker). Defense and health can largely be ignored.

* Attack - This determines how effective you are at fighting other players and dealing

damage to monsters. Focus on this stat if you are interested in player-vs-player (PVP)

action or monster-slaying.

* Defense - High defense makes you more effective at defeating other players who

attack you, and also causes monsters to deal less damage to you. Generally useful to

prevent losing health and gold all the time when other players attack you.

* Energy - Doing quests requires energy, with the more advanced quests requiring

more energy. Focus on this stat if you want to do more quests, thus earning

experience and gaining gold and levels faster. Energy regenerates at a rate of 1 every

5 minutes.

* Health - This determines how much of a beating you can take. You will take damage

each time you fight other players and monsters. High health will allow you to take

more damage before you become too weak to fight. However, healing to full health is

Page 4: Castle Age Cheat

Page 4

pretty cheap, so this stat is not too important. Health regenerates at a rate of 1 every

3 minutes.

* Stamina - It costs 2 points to increase your stamina by 1. Each stamina point allows

you to fight another player or attack a monster, hence a high stamina means you can

fight more. Fighting is also a good source of experience points, and killing monsters

gives you the chance of collecting powerful items. Hence stamina is a fairly important

stat to focus on. Stamina regenerates at a rate of 1 every 5 minutes.

It takes two skill points to increase stamina by one point. Early on, when you level up,

a good rule of thumb is to put one point into stamina, and the remaining three into

energy. Remember, every time you level up, your stamina and energy are restored to

full - if you plan things right, you can often earn several levels in a row by continuing

to boost your stamina and energy.

Quests

One way of seeing the world of Castle Age is by questing. You are able to explore the

world from the lowest level Land of Fire through to more treacherous areas. As you

progress, the quests become more difficult to do and have more requirements you

need to meet before you can attempt them. Each quest requires a certain amount of

energy, and usually have other requirements you have to meet before you are

allowed to attempt it, such as a specific hero you need to employ as well as specific

combinations of units and equipment. In addition, each "Land" or level of quests has

an "end boss" quest that rewards you with powerful heroes, equipment and magic

when you complete it.

It is a good idea to plan ahead and look at the requirements of a couple of quests

beyond the one you are currently attempting. If you know what heroes and which

units are required, you will be able to save up enough gold to buy them when you've

completed your current quest, therefore not wasting any time between quests. In

addition, some quests have very high energy requirements. Knowing how much

Page 5: Castle Age Cheat

Page 5

energy you need in the immediate future will also help you plan your stat allocation

accordingly.

Benefits of a Large Army

It can be difficult to get a large army in Castle Age. The easiest way is to find one of

the mass add groups - a long list of players that will allow you to friend them for the

purpose of playing Castle Age together. Having a large army does have its benefits,

though - large armies help you out in invasions, and you're less likely to get attacked

if you outnumber the enemy. More importantly, having a large army will provide you

with tons of gift troops (which you don't have to pay for) and gift items (which can be

used in alchemy to create some of the stronger equipment items or to summon

certain epic monsters).

It isn't necessary to have a large army, of course - you can always duel without one,

and epic monsters and quests don't take your army size into account, so you won't

really be hindered by having a small army. You will, however, probably need to

devote more of your income to purchasing land since you won't have as many gift

troops or alchemy equipments.

Every time you buy a land, the cost for that type of land increases. I.e., if a land cost

$1,000, the next piece might cost $1,500. This can get quite expensive in the long run.

When possible, buy land in bulk - if the price of land is $1,000 and you buy 5 pieces at

once, you'll get all 5 for $1,000 each - saving you a substantial amount over

purchasing each piece individually.

Army and adding more people

To succeed you need more people to join your cause

24hours. You can add more people that play the game through the official "add me"

threads by either manual adding them one by one, or using the mass e-mail lists.

After that, you can either put those people in separate game lists and restrict their

Page 6: Castle Age Cheat

Page 6

access to your profile, or delete them entirely.

If you find you have no more friends to invite to the game there are two options.

Either add more people from the threads, or go to army page, and under "sent

invites" tab, select "stop messenger" for some of your friends.

So far there is no valid direct invite link. Those that are posted around are not

working, so don't spam your friends by re-posting them.

How to add people from add me threads:

A) If you choose the manual adding, go to one of the threads, post your name in the

last page, and start adding people as friends one-by-one, by stating "Castle Age" in

the personal message of the invite.

B) If you choose the fast add e-mail option do the following:

- (Optional) Copy the last post of the e-mail list, paste it in your answer and add your

own e-mail in the end of the list, separated by comma from the last one.

-Copy the e-mail list and then from Facebook menu select Friends-> Invite

-Paste the e-mail list in the "To" box

-Write "Castle Age" on the "message" box right below

-Click invite

After new friends accept friend invitation, you can go to Facebook menu, select

Friends-> Recently added and see the names of the people that just joined you. Use

the list to select the people to invite from army page, or train from the grounds.

You have 2 options concerning those new friends. Once they accept the game invite

you can delete them from friends, and still keep them in your army, keeping your

profile clean. You can also keep them as friends, but in separate lists with restricted

access to your profile, so that they won't access personal info, but they will be around

if you need them for new games.

To add people in a list, do the following:

-Go to Facebook menu and select Friends

Page 7: Castle Age Cheat

Page 7

-From there select "Create new list" button. In the pop up window, select the friends

you want to add to this list and then click "save".

-To edit the privacy settings for these friends go to Facebook menu, select Settings-

>Privacy Settings->Profile.

-Go to the Basic Info and from the drop down list select Customize. To the bottom of

the window that pops up, click on the "except these people" field, and select the

name of the list you just created.

-Do the same for any of the other options given (like Photos, wall posts etc).

If you feel the News feeds get clogged from stranger's news, you can use the list

feature to see only news from people you like. For example, in the home page, go up

and left, right below the button "News Feed". Your lists should show up there. Select

the one you want to see news from, like Family or Good Friends, and immediately the

news are filtered to the ones from people you are interested about.

Battles

Battling involves fighting with other Castle Age players, whether it is via a full-scale

invasion or a duel between your top generals. You earn battle points each time you

defeat an opponent. The more battle points you earn, the higher your battle rank;

and certain ranks allow you to hire or summon powerful units, items and spells.

Do note though that you gain more battle points defeating opponents with a higher

level and rank than you. There is also a battling restriction while you are lower than

level 80. You will only be able to battle other players in the same 10-level bracket as

you. After level 80, it's a free-for-all and everyone is fair game.

You have two options: dueling and invading. Dueling uses your active general and

one of the following items: shield, helm, armor, amulet, weapon, and spell. It is

advised to select your strongest general in charge when logging off the game.

Currently, that general is Vanquish, if we are talking about heroes you can hire from

the Heroes page. Invading will use as many units as your army size, one item and one

Page 8: Castle Age Cheat

Page 8

spell for each of them. For every 5 units, one extra general will join the battle, so the

more army and units you have, the better. Hiring all generals possible is

recommended if you can handle their upkeep.

The item that will be used during the attack depends on if you are the attacker or the

attacked. When attacking, you will use your best weapons with higher attack value,

while when defending you will use the item with max defense points. For now, best

weapons & armor are the Commander Plates which you can buy from the Smith

when you get the rank of High Commander. Earlier on or if you are not much into

battling, you can go for Steel Plates and Battle Axes.

The way you battle is up to you. Duels offer better chances to those with small armies

but high personal stats, while invasions favor those with large armies and good

equipment. Invasions offer also the chance for better loot, because you can use the

help feature to gain double the max money that can be won in duels.

Occasionally, you will fight someone to the death, getting a message that you killed

them, or you may find out that someone killed you. Getting killed means that the

person's health dropped to 0. When that happens, the killed persons "Eliminated"

count is increased by one, and they lose 1-3 experience points. They do not lose

generals, land or anything else.

The weapon selection is done by checking only attack points when attacking and only

defense points when defending. That means that for example if you attack and you

have 100 army, 100 battle axes and 100steel plates, then those battle axes will be

used in battle, because their attack value is higher than the one of steel plates,

although it seems that steel plates have better total points.

If you find someone you want to attack again because they gave good money, or

because you want to take revenge from them then you can use the following link,

replacing X with the Facebook ID number of your opponent

Monsters

Fighting monsters is the third style of play in Castle Age besides questing and battling

other players. These monsters are summoned by players once they meet certain

requirements. Bosses such as Gildamesh the Orc King and Sylvanas the Sorceress

Queen become accessible once you complete the majority of quests in their

respective regions. Other monsters such as dragons and hydra can be summoned

once you have collected all the prerequisite alchemical ingredients.

Some of the lower level monsters can be fought on your own. However, the majority

of them will require teamwork as you recruit other players to fight with you.

Monsters such as the region bosses and dragons can be fought by the summoner and

other players in their army. The World Hydra works a bit differently, and can be

attacked by any Castle Age player who happens to stumble upon them.

These monsters have a set time limit in which they have to be killed, otherwise they

will flee. If you manage to kill a monster, you will have the chance of collecting rare

items, units and magic from it.

Heroes

Heroes or generals are the backbone of your army. Each quest will require a specific

hero to lead your army in order to complete it. In addition, your heroes will lead your

army in battles with other players, or be your representative in duels. They will also

be the ones fighting the monsters. (It's a tough life being a hero!)

There are various heroes with varying degrees of power in attack and defense. The

more common ones can be hired in town, but the most powerful ones (including

demons and demi-gods) can only be accessed via the Oracle with favor points, which

we will discuss later on.

Monster Hunting Tips

I've been gathering some infotmation from various sites and forums on which Heroes

are best used against any Monster available to Castle Age and here are some what I

have discovered

Heroes

Zaravok

Zaravok is well known for his +20 skill (at level 4) damage to all Monsters and from

what I have research, he's most effective against All Dragons, Sylvanas and Kiera the

Dread Knight.

Vanquish

This Angel of Death is most effective on all other monsters on Castle Age because of

the additional 20 to your Attack stats.

Just make sure to swap back to Celesta when you go offline to avoid large damage

from random attacks

Page 11: Castle Age Cheat

Page 11

Heroes from the Oracle

These group of Heroes are the best of the best and you can only acquire them thru

the Alpha and Vanguard Chests.

Lotus Ravenmoore

This boss monster is one of the best in terms of monster killing because of her critical

hits.

Malekus

The demi-god Malekus can lend his power into you army. He has the highest attack

stats in Castle Age and skills that could make him even more powerful with each Hero

you have in your army. The problem is he not really great against when facing Kiera.

Page 12: Castle Age Cheat

Page 12

Malekus

This elven warrior princess is an improved version of Vanquish and she is great when

facing Cronus, the World Hydra. This is your best alternative in case you have not

acquired Malekus .

The Orc King Gildamesh

The Orc King Gildamesh is great against Serpents and the Dark Horde Legions by

increasing the power attacks while fortifying or defending the castle.

Units, Items and Magic

When you're in town, you can spend gold to hire units and buy equipment to prepare

for battle. Each quest that you complete will have a certain number and type of units

that you are required to have. Only when you have hired those units will you be able

to attempt the quest.

Page 13: Castle Age Cheat

Page 13

Units and equipment are crucial when you are fighting. When invading other players,

the more powerful units you have, the more chance you have at successfully

defeating the other player. In addition, when you are dueling another player or

fighting a monster, your best equipment in each "body slot" will provide damage

bonuses for you and keep you from taking damage.

Join Epic Monster Battles

Whenever possible, join in epic monster battles with your friends. Even if you only

devote a single point of stamina to a fight, you'll get a share of the treasure -

Page 14: Castle Age Cheat

Page 14

generally, the more damage you deal to the monster, the more loot you'll get. Epic

Monster battles are a great way to earn some of the stronger troops (especially since

they're free) and it's also the only way to get land for free. It's not uncommon to win

things like Marketplaces or Castles, easily boosting your hourly income by several

thousand gold for a single monster kill. That said, try to pick and choose your monster

battles. If the monster's health isn't dropping fast enough to meet the deadline, you

need to get more participants quick. Use your calls to arms to ask your friends to

help, but I've found I have better luck getting people to join monster battles if I ask

them in a private message.

Land

Although Castle Age is all about questing, fighting monsters and battling other

players, the bit that is most crucial to your success is your economic machine. You will

need lots of gold to hire heroes and units and equip them with good items and magic.

In addition, the more powerful of these units and equipment have an upkeep, costing

you gold every hour.

Doing quests, attacking other players and fighting monsters all provide you with some

gold, but you will need to invest that hard-earned cash into land that will generate

hourly income for you. Do note that the more of each land type you buy, the more

expensive it becomes. It pays to check the return on investment for each land type at

all times to determine which piece of land is of the most value.

Don't Forget Demi-Powers

With everything else that needs managing in Castle Age, it's easy to forget to pay

tribute to a demi-power. You can do this every 24 hours for most Demi-Powers,

earning you 100+ points towards that demi-power. Periodically, you'll be awarded

various bonuses by the demi-power, including special quests (which often have a

Page 15: Castle Age Cheat

Page 15

randomly droppable item), equipment, and even favor points.

Oracle

This is where the most powerful heroes and items can be obtained. Every month,

there will be an exclusive hero and their related equipment that can be bought using

favor points. In addition, there are "treasure chests" available where you can spend

favor points and gamble on what you will receive. It could be a common piece of

armor, or it could be the most powerful general in the game.

These favor points can be a bit difficult to come by. You start the game with a few

favor points, and you have a chance of earning them each time you kill a monster.

You can also earn favor points each time you complete offers and respond to paid

advertising in the Oracle section of the game. Another option is that you can buy the

favor points outright using cash.

Buy Chest Draws In Threes

When deciding to use your favor points on treasure chests, be sure to save up until

you have enough to purchase draws in threes. One draw off the Alpha chest costs 20

favor points, but three draws costs 55, saving you 5 favor points in the long run. Since

favor points are so hard to come by, it's worth the wait.

Your Elite Guard (visible from the Keep) is a collection of your friends that can help

you out. When a friend is added to your elite guard, you get special bonuses for 24

hours - increased attack, boosts to experience and gold drops, and an increase in

influence gain when performing quests. You can put out a call to arms to ask your

friends to join your elite guard, but you can also get elite guard members by joining

the elite guard of a friend - when you join theirs, they also join yours. Try to keep a

full elite guard at all time to maximize your efforts.

Page 16: Castle Age Cheat

Page 16

Watch Your Upkeeps

Certain troops, generals, and equipment has an upkeep cost. This cost is deducted

from your hourly income. Normally, you shouldn't have a problem with this since

you'll be buying most items yourself, but occasionally you'll get items with upkeep as

prizes - for example, battle rank items like the Gladiator's Sword. If for some reason

you notice your upkeep is suddenly higher than your income, you need to quickly buy

more land (if you have enough stashed to do so) or you need to sell some items to

lower your upkeep cost.

Keep in mind that Gift versions of troops do not have upkeep costs. A normal Dragon

and a Gift Dragon have the same stats, but the Gift Dragon saves you $2,500 an hour.

Always Set Your Strongest GeneralWhen Idle

If you're going to be away from Castle Age for a while, be sure to set your strongest

general as active - they'll help you out when people attack you. On a related note, be

sure to stash all your gold - if attackers see they aren't getting much off you, they're

less likely to keep attacking you.
