Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (Meets or exceeds FAR part 139, ICAO

Annex 14, & Doc. 9137 requirements)

FAA AUTHORIZED PART 139 TRAINING PROVIDER

11 Day Annual Recertification

Class meets the requirements for Annual Live Fire recertification and can be modified to meet specific agency training requirements. Training includes vehicle and handline scenarios.

140 Hour Basic/Recurrent

Class has been designed to meet the requirements for Initial Training and Recurrent Training. Class incorporates traditional concepts as well as hands-on to integrate the student into the aviation/airport environment.

140 Hour Certification (IFSAC and/or ProBoard Testing) (meets or exceeds NFPA 1003 requirements)

Class has been designed to meet the requirements for the firefighter (must meet pre-reqs as outlined in NFPA 1003)desiring to become certified as an Airport Fire Fighter. Class incorporates traditional concepts as well as hands-on on the airport to fully integrate the student into the aviation/airport environment. Class includes written and practical certification (live-fire training) testing at the conclusion.

NOTE! Live-Fire training & testing is conducted at the Washington State Fire Academy or at a location of your choice.

80 Hour Academy – Train the Trainer

Designed for the firefighter or fire officer that desires to become an Instructor of ARFF skills and concepts. First week consists of the 40 Hour Basic and ARFF Officer curricu-

lum as a student, second week the student instructs a variety of assigned topics to achieve their ARFF Instructor certificate. This class can be customized to meet your requirements. Class concludes with live fire training and tactical evolutions involving vehicle and handline operations.

Incident Safety Officer (IFSAC or ProBoard—Classes and/or Testing)

Class is designed to offer the firefighter or fire officer with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a “certified” Incident Safety Officer. Class includes written and practical skills testing at the conclusion.

Fire Extinguisher Training (class plus practical)

Class provides the “responder” or “lay-person” with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and extinguish an “Incipient” fire and to use fire extinguishers of all “classes”

WA State EVIP Emergency Vehicle Incident Prevention

This can be delivered in the following formats; Train the Trainer (Initial training or updating your instructors), classroom portion for your personnel. We provide the instructors, or we can work with you to set-up and/or manage your Driver Training Program.

TS – Traffic Safety

Class has been designed to deliver a better insight and safety mindset into “roadway” incidents that the firefighter responds to in day or nighttime operations. Includes class-room and set-up in a variety of weather and visibility conditions to provide for greater understanding in these operations.

ICS 100 Introduction to incident Command System

This course introduces ICS and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. It describes the history, features and principals, and organizational structure of the sys-tem. It also explains the relationship between ICS and NIMS.

ICS 200 For Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents

This course is designed to enable personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the ICS. ICS-200 provides training and resources for personnel who are likely to assume a supervisory position within the ICS.

ICS-100 & 200 courses may be conducted online or in person, depending on your needs.

ICS 300 Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents

Provides training and resources for personnel who require advanced knowledge and application of the ICS. Course expands upon information covered in the ICS-100 and

ICS-200 courses.

ICS 400 Advanced ICS

This course provides training and resources for personnel who require advanced appli-

cation of ICS. Course expands upon information covered in ICS-100 through ICS-300.

M480 - Multi-Agency Coordinating (MAC) Group—7 Hours

This course is designed to train and orient potential Multi-Agency Coordinating (MAC) Group members and MAC Group Coordinators. It will provide the students with a working knowledge of the Multi-Agency Coordination System and the organization that helps support MAC Group activities.

L-381 Incident Leadership—36 Hours

This is leadership development training for incident response personnel who will func-tion in fireline command roles. Learning objectives are supplemented with simulations requiring students to demonstrate leadership skills while performing in a team environ-ment. Topic areas:

Hazardous Materials/WMD Awareness Level Responder - 4 hours This is an introductory level course that provides an overview of the mandated require-ments for Awareness Level Responders in accordance with federal OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6), NFPA 472 (2008 Edition) and WAC 296-824. Students will demonstrate competency in the following areas: understanding what hazardous materials are and the risks associated with them in an incident, understanding the potential outcomes associated with an emergency created when hazardous materials are present, the abil-ity to recognize the presence of hazardous materials in an emergency, the ability to identify hazardous materials, understanding the FRA role in emergency response oper-ations, the ability to recognize the need for additional resources, and how to make ap-propriate notifications. Hazardous Materials/WMD Operations Level Responder - 8 hours This is an intermediate level course that provides an overview of the mandated re-quirements for Operations Level Responder in accordance with federal OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6), NFPA 472 (2008 Edition) and WAC 296-824 and. Students will demon-strate competency in the following areas: Awareness Level Personnel requirements, knowledge of basic hazards and risk assessment techniques, know how to select and use proper personal protective equipment, knowledge of hazardous materials termi-nology, know how to perform basic control and containment operations, know how to implement basic decontamination procedures, and understand relevant standard oper-ating procedures and termination procedures. Hazardous Materials/WMD Operations Level Responders (Core & Mission-Specific) - 24 / 40 hours These courses provide an overview of the requirements for hazardous materials/WMD operations level responders in accordance with federal OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(8), NFPA 472 (2008 Edition) and WAC 296-824. Students will demonstrate competency in the following areas: Operations Level Responder Core competency requirements, meet applicable governmental occupational health and safety regulations, implement the emergency response plan, analyze a incident to determine scope of the problem and potential outcomes, survey incident to identify containers and materials involved and whether materials have been released, perform basic defensive control measures, basic terms, hazards, properties and characteristics of materials, suitability of PPE, de-contamination procedures, scene control procedures, persevering evidence, and

evaluating status of planned responses. Operations level responders assigned mission-specific responsibilities as determined by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) such

as specialized use of PPE, perform mass decontamination, perform technical decon-tamination, perform preservation and sampling, perform product control, perform air monitoring and sampling, perform victim rescue/recovery and respond to illicit labora-tory incidents. Each mission-specific responsibility requires additional training in the competencies to allow operations responders to support other emergency response agencies. Hazardous Materials Technician – 24 hours This level course( provides an overview of the requirements for hazardous materials technician to perform within their employers emergency response plan limitations for operations level responders in accordance with federal OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(8), NFPA 472 (2008 Edition) and WAC 296-824. Workers regularly on site or respond to employer related incidents and who work in areas which have been monitored and fully characterized indicating that exposures are under permissible exposure limits and published exposure limits where respirators are not necessary, and the characteriza-tion indicates that there are no health hazards or the possibility of an emergency devel-oping may fall within this category of training. Workers with 24 hours of training, who become general site workers or emergency responders and are required to wear respi-rators, shall have additional required training. Competencies shall cover the employees ability to implement the employer’s emergency response plan, function within their assigned role in the incident command system, understand hazard and risk assessment techniques, understand basic chemical and toxicological terminology and behavior, understand and use field survey instruments and equipment, select and use PPE appro-priate within their employers emergency response plan, perform limited control, con-tainment, and/or confinement operations within the capabilities of the resources and PPE available, and implement decontamination procedures to their level of training and scope of resources available. Hazardous Materials/WMD Technician – 40 / 80 hours This is an advanced level course that provides an overview of the mandated require-ments for hazardous materials technician in accordance with federal OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120(q) (8), WAC 296-62 Part R and NFPA 472. Technicians shall be that person that responds to hazardous materials/WMD incidents using a risk-based response pro-cess to analyze a problem, selects applicable decontamination procedures, and con-trols a release using specialized protective clothing and control equipment. Implement

site specific safety and health plan, identify containers and verify identity of the hazard-ous material/WMD involved, identify the types of monitoring technology to determine

determine hazards, collect and interpret hazard and response information from tech-nical resources, understand and describe specific terms and their significance, deter-mine the likely extent of physical, safety, and health hazards to identify exposure symp-toms, predict likely behavior of materials and their containers where multiple materials are involved, identify potential response options, understanding and selection of PPE for hazardous materials/WMD incidents, performing control functions identified in the Incident Action Plan, understand incident termination elements, debriefing, critiques and reporting and documenting the incident.

Awareness & Operations Level Responders Train-the-Trainer (24 hours) The First Responder Awareness (FRA) and First Responder Operations (FRO) Train-the-Trainer course is a facilitated instructional technology seminar. Emphasis is given to the design, development, & delivery of training courses to meet the NFPA 472 competency-based requirements for the FRA and FRO responder. Learning objectives include: instructor materials, student materials, classroom manage-ment, multi-media activities, and training needs analysis. Training consists of classroom lecture, multi-media, written exercises, and teach-back practical exercises for competency demonstration.

Emergency Response to Terrorism Critical Incident Management - 24 hours Evidence Collection & Preservation - 24 hours Incident Command - 24 hours Emergency Medical Services - 8 hours Hospital Operations - 8 hours

Vehicle Extrication

In accordance with NFPA 1006 and 1670 the learner, having a minimum training level of Firefighter, shall effectively participate in, perform and/or supervise a technical

vehicle rescue event including stabilization, hazard analysis, risk assessment, extrica-tion practices and procedures so that access could be safely gained to a patient com-partment of a motor vehicle.

WATER RESCUE PROGRAMS

Marine Rescue Training

This 16 hour class is in its 10th year of delivery. It is designed to bring inexperienced as well as

experienced responders the up to the applicable marine rescue standards of NFPA 1006 and

1670 for surface water rescue. This course is open to fire, law enforcement, parks, EMS or other

public agencies that have marine rescue responsibilities.

Some of the topics that will be covered:

-Roles & responsibilities

-Basic boating

-Terminology

-PFD & survival suit familiarity

-Search patterns

-Man overboard, par buckling-Victim recovery

techniques

-Risk management

-Ropes & Knots

-Towing techniques (department specific)

-Boat handling, to include “Dock crashing”, loading trailers and towing*.

-Overturned Vessels/Vessel aground

-Test for a Boating card

Departments are encouraged to bring their own vessels on day two for the hands -on portion of

boat handling. This class is designed for surface water rescue only. Swift water rescue is not in-

cluded in the course content. This course is designed to be similar to that taught to United State

Coast Guard’s RIB SAR coxswains.

Training manuals will be given to all participants and is included in the course cost. In accordance

to NFPA standards, you must pass a ten minute, unassisted swim test to earn a certificate of

completion. Any participant who does not pass the test will receive a certificate of attendance.

Attendees will be responsible to bring their own swim suits, towels, and/or water rescue PPE (i.e.

wet or dry suits) needed for day two of the class.

AVIATION SECURITY—TRAINING & SERVICES

INTRODUCTION: These courses have been designed to offer anyone involved the avia-tion world the ability to understand the field of Aviation Security, whether they need only a superficial understanding as is gained in the 1-Day course, a refresher type of training as in the 3-Day course, or a more detailed understanding is required in order to conduct AVSEC assessments and create rules/policies. Course content can be custom-ized to meet a specific type of training within the AVSEC field for your personnel and environment who are at various levels in the field of aviation security and need to have greater understanding and capability. The information contained in these courses is comprehensive in all facets and aspects of AVSEC and how it integrates with other vo-cations, plus it includes practical exercises for students to test and hone their skills and will provide understanding in how to develop and update the AVSEC program for their airport. These AVSEC training courses target technical training for law enforcement officers, firefighters, airport management, local officials, aviation security assessors, security specialists, government officials, and others who are responsible for insuring airport and air carrier security programs and the security of facilities and equipment is carried out. These courses are offered at CONUS and OCONUS locations to meet the needs of the international community in general, and the aviation industry, specifically. All courses meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), International Civil Aviation Or-ganization (ICAO), and International Air Transport Association (IATA) requirements. These courses are easily tailored to include any country-specific requirements upon request. Our mission; to protect the air transportation industry and those who use it, anywhere in the world, by providing better capability for maintaining the reliability and the integrity of the aviation environment. This mission is further enhanced and carried out by the understanding required for developing and implementing regulatory poli-cies, programs and procedures in order to integrate ALL who have a role in AVSEC, the prevention of criminal or terrorist attacks or any other disruptive acts against the avia-tion environment, to conduct investigations create and coordinate internal security activities that are supportive and compatible with government activities, assist with law enforcement agencies in the interdiction of any illegal activities, and to support a na-tions national security plan and strategy. Upon completing any of these courses, the individual will be able to understand their role, the roles of others, and be able to de-velop legislative and regulatory rules regarding AVSEC and be able to develop and im-plement an airports AVSEC program or an airline security program, be able to advise on the specifications and/or utilization of any equipment or new technology that is re-

quired to support the airports or airlines AVSEC program, and to prepare or update current or new training programs for those personnel responsible for carrying out the airport/airline AVSEC programs.

NEBOSH

NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) was formed in 1979 as an independent examining board and awarding body with charitable status. We offer a comprehensive range of globally-recognized, vocationally-related qualifications designed to meet the health, safety, environmental and risk management needs of all places of work in both the private and public sectors.

Courses leading to NEBOSH qualifications attract around 30,000 candidates annually and are offered by over 400 course providers in 80 countries around the world. Our qualifications are recognized by the relevant professional membership bodies including the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). NEBOSH examinations and assessments are set by its profes-sionally qualified staff assisted by external examiners; most of whom are Chartered Safety and Health Practitioners operating within industry, the public sector or in en-forcement.
