Standard installation

Limits for operation (unit is installed and power is on)

Ex. The GA 30-90+ range:

Indoor use only according the installation proposal Minimum working pressure: 4 bar (e) Maximum ambient temperature: 46 C

Minimum ambient temperature: 0 C Maximum relative humidity: 95% for VSDs only

When the compressor will be installed in an environment that exceeds one of theinstallation limits/ limits of operation special precaution are needed.

2. Storage of the compressor :

2.1. Storage of the compressor before the 1st start(ex factory).

Please check that the package is not broken.

Storage limits of the compressor:

Outdoor

From -10C up to 60C ambient conditions

2.2. Storage of the compressor after the 1ststart.

2.2.1. The compressor has run and is not installed. No wiresconnected.

Follow the instruction manual Taking out of operation.Please check that no condensation/water can enter the compressor.

Storage limits of the compressor:

From -10C up to 60C ambient conditions

2.2.2. The compressor is connected to the supply network.

Please follow the guidelines of the instruction manual.Start up the compressor 2 or 3 times a week and let the compressor run warm.

After stopping the compressor press the test button of each electronic water drain until allwater has been drained.

When the compressor can not start-up 2 or 3 times, foresee precautions in paragraph 2.2.1.

3. Working conditions

3.1. Outdoor use:

Will the compressor be installed under a roof, please check that no water can enterthe compressor.When there is no roof above the compressor or water can enter the compressor=> install the rain protection.Depending on the location, protections should be available for:

Direct sun radiation. Entrance of flying snow.

The electrical cubicle has a UL certification type 1; local modifications might be

needed for other approval types.

3.2. Will the environment of the compressor exceed ambientconditions?

3.2.1. Maximum ambient conditions

When the ambient conditions of the compressor in the compressor room will exceed

the maximum condition:Check if it is possible to improve the cooling of the compressor room. If this is notpossible install the HAV variant of the compressor.Maximum ambient conditions for HAV variants check the working limits of thecompressor range.

3.2.2. Minimum ambient conditions

When the ambient conditions of the compressor in the compressor room will exceedthe minimum condition:

Check if the compressor room temperature can be heated. If this is not possibleinstall the freeze protection of the compressor.

For the design limits of the freeze protection of the compressor check the workinglimits:Ex. Freeze protection of the GA + version:

Order freeze protection. Our freeze protection is foreseen for minimumambient of -10C.If the environment will be lower then -10C special precautions will be needed.

3.3. Will the environment of the compressor exceedmaximum relative humidity?

When the ambient condition exceeds the limits install the anti condensationprotection option.

4. Limits for start up (power will be put on the compressor)

4.1. Will the environment of the compressor exceed minimumambient condition?

Check if the freeze protection is installed.If so follow the start-up procedure:

1. Please put power on the freeze protection and wait for 1 hour with the dooropen.

2. After minimum 1 hour power your compressor and wait for 1 hour.3. Then you can start-up your compressor.

4.2. Will the environment of the compressor exceedmaximum relative humidity?

Check if the anti condensation option is installed?If so follow the start-up procedure:

1. Open the electrical cubicle door and after minimum 1 hour power-on yourcompressor.

2. Put power on the anti-condensation protection and wait for 1 hour.3. The compressor can be started.
