Ciudad de la Justicia

Proyecto del arquitecto David Chipperfield y el estudio b720, consistente en 8 edificios interconectados. Se han fabricado e instala-do más de 11.500 ventanas practicables de hoja oculta que se convierten en protagonistas de la estética general del conjunto, así como los cerramientos metálicos con resistencia al fuego. Los perfiles de hoja y marco se han creado especialmente para adaptarse al proyecto, e incluyen el propio soporte para las barandillas minimizando el impacto visual del conjunto y creando una imagen de ligereza arquitectónica.

Project by the architect David Chipperfield and the studio b720, consisting of 8 interconnected buildings. More than 11,500 case-ment windows with concealed leaf were built, which become the most outstanding feature of the overall aesthetics of the complex, as well as the heat-resistant metal cladding. The leaf profiles and framework were created especially to be adapted to the project, and include the support itself for the railing, minimizing the visual impact of the complex and creating an image of lightness in the architectural design.

Para esta obra nuestra empresa desarrolló, junto con uno de los principales proveedores europeos de aluminio, un perfil de hoja y marco especiales para ventana practicable de hoja oculta. El objetivo era partir de un producto con todas las garantías de calidad, pero que debía adaptarse a los requerimientos estéticos definidos por los arquitectos. El resultado final, liderado por nuestra Oficina Técnica, fue el de una ventana que disimula la sección del bastidor de hoja tras el perfil de marco. Esta solución permitió ganar en dimensión de superficie de acristalamiento y, a su vez, minimizar la sección de perfilería vista desde el exterior. La fachada obtenía de este modo su aspecto urbano y funcional necesario, no sólo por las propias características del equipamiento, sino también para dar respuesta a la idea original de David Chipperfield y el estudio de arquitectura b720.

For this project, our company, along with one of Europe’s main suppliers of aluminum, developed a leaf profile and special frames for sliding windows with a concealed pane. The objective was to start with a product with all the guarantees of quality, but that had to be adapted to the aesthetic requirements defined by the architects. The final result, developed by our Technical Office, was that of a window that conceals the section of the leaf frame behind the frame profile. This solution enabled gaining in the size of area of glass and, thus, minimize the section of profiling viewed from the outside. The façade thus achieved its necessary urban and functional aspect, not only due to the characteristics of the materials themselves, but also to respond to the original idea of David Chipperfield and the architecture studio b720.

Torre con dos cuerpos diferenciados, proyectada por los arquitectos Josep Martorell, Oriol Bohigas y David Mackay. Se ha realizado el conjunto de fachadas, que combina diferentes materiales para crear una piel flexible. Fachada seca, presenta un marco estructural con perfiles blancos de aluminio extruidos expresamente para la obra, a partir del diseño de los arquitectos.

Tower with two distinct bodies, projected by the architects Josep Martorell, Oriol Bohigas and David Mackay. All of the façades were made combining different materials to create a flexible surface. Dry façade, presents a structural frame with white aluminum pro-files extruded expressly for the construction, based on the architect’s design.

El elemento diferenciador de la fachada de este edificio es una “U” de aluminio de 60 cm. de altura, hecha en tres piezas y desarrolla-da por nuestra empresa. Para instalar la perfilería en la obra se fabricó un premarco de grandes dimensiones que soporta la estructu-ra de las piezas de fachada ventilada y el propio aluminio. En la fachada oeste, donde la acción del calor y de la luz de la tarde es más intensa, destaca la solución de Brise Soleil de cada planta, que se combinan con mamparas de vidrio serigrafiadas, que protegen el vidrio ligeramente entintado de las ventanas horizontales.

The distinguishing element of the façade of this building is a 60 cm high “U” shape in aluminum, made in three pieces and created by our company. To install the profiling in the project, a large pre-frame was built, which supports the structure of the pieces of the ventilated façade and the aluminum itself. On the façade facing west, where the effect of the heat and the afternoon sunlight is most intense, the Brise Soleil or sunshade solution has been used on each floor, which is combined with silk-screened glass panels, which protect the slightly tinted glass of the horizontal windows.

Edificio de investigación tecnológica perfectamente adecuado a la topografía y al entorno natural en el que se ubica. De apariencia compacta, se presenta integrado en el paisaje mediante envolventes de chapa metálica y con la disposición de una serie de patios interiores que facilitan la incorporación de luz natural a la vez que ofrecen una extensión de las diferentes actividades interiores, actuando como dispositivos de control climático y ahorro energético.

Technology research building perfectly set in the landscape and natural environment. Unobtrusive in appearance, this sheet metal structure blends in with the landscape and is arranged with a series of courtyards that let in natural light while offering a range of different indoor activities and doubling as climate control and energy savings features.

La obra destaca por el muro cortina de tapeta vertical reseguido por una pasarela perimetral pensada para el mantenimiento del edificio e integrada en su diseño visual. El edificio queda rodeado por una doble piel exterior de malla Déployé que cuelga mediante cartelas. También destaca el trabajo realizado en el perímetro superior, con estructuras metálicas auxiliares forradas de chapa don-de se integra el corpóreo identificador del edificio.

The building stands out due to its flat, vertical, curtain wall framed by a walkway integrated into the overall visual design, which wraps around the building’s perimeter and is designed to facilitate its maintenance. The building is surrounded by a double layer of Déployé outer mesh suspended by brackets. Also worthy of mention is the work done on the upper perimeter, which is lined with sheet metal auxiliary structures where the corporate sign is attached to the building.

Sede del Instituto de Ciencias Fotónicas construido por medio del impulso de la Fundación Cellex, y ubicado en el Parque Medite-rráneo de la Tecnología. Un edificio de 4000 metros cuadrados que destaca por su innovador concepto estructural, tanto a nivel de concepción arquitectónica como de organización de trabajo. En este edificio una cincuentena de investigadores y científicos desa-rrollan sus proyectos de innovación y desarrollo en el campo del láser y la investigación de la luz.

Headquarters of the Institute of Photonic Sciences, it was built with proceeds from the Cellex Foundation and is located in the Medi-terranean Technology Park. This 4,000-square meter building stands out due to its innovative structural concept, both in terms of architectural design and organization of the work spaces. In this building, there are about fifty researchers and scientists who work on innovation and development projects in the field of laser and light research.

Como centro de investigación de la luz que es, el edificio aboga por el juego de contrastes de luces y sombras y un exhaustivo trabajo de aprovechamiento lumínico mediante protecciones solares y otros elementos. En el exterior del equipamiento es destacable la instalación de un muro cortina reseguido de pasarelas que otorgan un carácter estético al edificio, a la vez que facilitan las tareas de mantenimiento y prevención. Un moderno equipamiento al servicio de la investigación científica.

As a center for research on light, the building advocates the use of contrasts of light and shadow and fully takes advantage of lighting by using solar protection screens and other features. The outdoor amenities feature the installation of a curtain wall framed by walkways that give the building an aesthetic quality while facilitating maintenance and prevention tasks. Not only are these amenities modern, they are also useful for scientific research.

Nueva terminal de pasajeros en el Puerto de Barcelona de una de las compañías navieras más importante de los mundo. El Grupo Grimaldi ha invertido más de 20 millones de euros en su nueva terminal del Muelle de Costa. Una nueva infraestructura, diseñada por Yannic Levêque, con capacidad para 1.800 pasajeros de embarque y desembarque. Incluye un edificio de tres plantas con una superficie de 3.750 metros cuadrados, una explanada pavimentada y una plataforma con tres pasarelas de conexión entre la termi-nal y los atracos.

New passenger terminal at the Port of Barcelona for one of the world’s largest shipping companies. The Grimaldi group has invested over 20 million euros in its new terminal at the Costa Pier. This new infrastructure, designed by Yannic Levêque, features the capa-city to accommodate 1,800 embarking and disembarking passengers. It includes a three-storey building sprawling 3,750 square meters, featuring a paved esplanade and a platform with three walkways connecting between the terminal and the docks.

En esta obra se fabricó e instaló un muro cortina de 9 metros de altura sin apoyo intermedio en las cajas de escalera. Los cristales de este muro cortina van fijados mecánicamente a la estructura. El perfil usado en la obra, además, fue extrusionado especialmente para el proyecto, para dar salida a las necesidades técnicas y estéticas del cliente. Completan el proyecto el conjunto de puertas de aluminio, celosías y las mamparas interiores de vidrio que conforman las salas de pasajeros.

On this project, we made and installed a curtain wall that stands 9 meters high without any intermediate support in the stairwells. The glass on this curtain wall is mechanically attached to the structure. The profile used in the building was also specially extruded for the project in order to fulfill the client’s technical and aesthetic needs. The project is made complete by the set of aluminum doors, lattice windows and interior glass partitions which form the passenger waiting areas.

Conjunto de oficinas organizadas en dos cuerpos, el más grande de los cuales está formado por una torre aislada de cuatro fachadas y 12 plantas de altura. Supone uno de los proyectos inmobiliarios más ambiciosos del nuevo distrito tecnológico de Barcelona, con oficinas de alto nivel que suman más de 12.000 metros cuadrados. La clave de este edificio y, por extensión, de sus trabajos de fachada y cerramientos ha sido conseguir los más altos estándares de calidad, eficiencia y confort.

An office complex arranged into two bodies, the largest of which consists of an isolated tower of four walls and standing 12 floors high. It represents one of the most ambitious real estate projects in the new technological district of Barcelona, with high-level offices totaling an area of more than 12,000 square meters The key to this building and, by extension, its façade and cladding work has been to achieve the highest standards of quality, efficiency and comfort.

La particularidad de este muro cortina son las pasarelas de religa de hierro galvanizado que la envuelven. Nacen de cada canto de forjado y cubren la función de pasarela de servicios, pero también de parasol, dando al edificio una gran singularidad. La fachada se completa también con unas cartelas metálicas de acero galvanizado que penetran dentro del propio muro de vidrio y que ejercen de sujeción de las pasarelas.

The unique feature of this curtain wall are the walkways made of galvanized iron relegates that encircle the building. They originate from each edge of the floor and serve as a walkway to service areas, but also function as a shaded area, making the building one of a kind. The façade is also made complete with galvanized steel metal brackets that penetrate inside the glass wall and serve as clamps for the walkways.

El sistema de trabajo implementado en taller para este tipo de tra-bajos permite consolidar un ritmo de trabajo lineal y constante para alcanzar altas cantidades de unidades por día. Nuestra Oficina Técnica destina un equipo propio de ingenieros encargados de los dibujos de planos, las órdenes de fabricación y la coordinación general con la obra.

En estos centros trabajamos con perfilerías de alto nivel que aseguran la estanqueidad adecuada a la resistencia que ofrece el hie-rro. En ellos se ha instalado también una manilla diseñada en exclusiva por nuestra Oficina Técnica y pensada expresamente para equipamientos de máxima seguridad. El principal objetivo de esta manilla es facilitar la manipulación de los cerramientos garanti-zando la premisa de seguridad y reclusión que debe ofrecer un centro penitenciario.

At these centers, we works with top-quality framing to ensure adequate sealing for the resistance offered by the iron. A door handle designed exclusively by our Technical Office and intended specifically for maximum security facilities has also been installed in the prisons. The main objective was for this door handle to facilitate the handling of the enclosures, ensuring the security and confine-ment that a penitentiary center should offer.

Nuevo edificio de la Facultad de Economía del Instituto Químico de Sarrià, centro adscrito a la Universidad Ramon Llull. Un edificio de arquitectura sostenible que acoge 15 aulas con una capacidad media de 60 alumnos; 25 despachos de profesorado, decanato y servicios administrativos. Este nuevo equipamiento educativo también acoge las dependencias del programa Business Alumni, Relaciones Internacionales, Programas para Ejecutivos y Laboratorio de Prácticas. Un edificio moderno y funcional al servicio de la actividad docente y el mundo académico.

New building in the Economics Department of the Chemical Institute of Sarrià, located at the University Ramon Llull. A building de-signed with sustainable architecture, housing 15 classrooms with an average capacity of 60 students, in addition to 25 offices for faculty members, the dean and administrative services. This new university building also houses the offices of the Business Alum-ni program, International Relations, and Executive Programs and Student Laboratories. A modern and functional building equipped for teaching and the academic world.

Destaca el conjunto de cerramientos inclinados situados en uno de los extremos de fachada. Se trata de un espacio sin forjados, de manera que los cerramientos quedan sujetos a una estructura metálica. En el interior del edificio es remarcable la fabricación e instalación de una gran corredera de apertura elevable de 18 metros de ancho y 3 metros de altura dividida en 7 hojas y que otorga al espacio un valor de estanqueidad de grandes prestaciones.

One of the building’s most remarkable features is the series of inclined enclosures located at one end of the façade. It is an area without slabs, such that the enclosures are fixed to a metallic structure. The inside of the building is impressive due to the manufac-ture and installation of a large sliding door that opens 18 meters wide and 3 meters high, divided into 7 sheets, giving added value to the space for its high performance sealing.

Primeros trabajos de nuestra empresa en el conjunto monumental de la basílica de la Sagrada Familia, declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Se ha construido el área de servicios, que acoge la tienda del templo y la zona de vestuarios y ser-vicios para el personal. Un edificio configurado por dos prismas que encajan dentro de la esquina este del templo, unidos entre ellos por una escalera de emergencia interior. El objetivo era recoger y solucionar las nuevas necesidades aparecidas durante el desarrollo de las obras de construcción del templo.

As part of its early work on the monumental complex of the basilica of the Sagrada Familia, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, we built the services area, where the basilica’s shop, staff changing rooms and bathrooms are located. The building is formed by two prisms that fit within the eastern corner of the basilica, interconnected by an internal emergency staircase. The objective was to address and resolve the new needs that arose during the construction work on the temple.

Se han fabricado e instalado el conjunto de fachada de cristal, cerramientos y revestimiento exterior. El elemento más destacado son los 168 metros cuadrados de muro cortina, dispuestos de forma no lineal y que dan singularidad a la estructura. Una fachada que se complementa con más de 600 metros cuadrados de revestimiento de panel sándwich y cerramientos de aluminio con rotura de puente térmico. Unos trabajos de cuidada ejecución y de grandes dificultades logísticas, dada la necesidad de compaginar los trabajos con el flujo constante de turistas del monumento, que acoge cada año más de 3 millones de visitantes.

We have manufactured and installed the entire glass façade, enclosures and exterior siding. The most prominent feature is the 168-square meter curtain wall, which is not arranged in a straight line and thus gives uniqueness to the structure. The façade is complemented by more than 600 square meters of sandwich panel and aluminum enclosures with thermal break profiling. Comple-ting the work required careful planning and presented a number of logistical challenges, given the need to balance the progress of the work with the constant flow of the more than 3 million tourists who come to visit the monument every year.

Residencia pública para personas discapacitadas que sitúa en el centro del plano los módulos de tipo funcional y, a partir de ellos, establece el resto de necesidades del edificio: zona residencial, administrativa, talleres, ... El conjunto se integra en el entorno y pretende realzar la estética arquitectónica con una total adaptación a la topografía de la zona. La agrupación de los módulos resi-denciales separados por patios permite componer volúmenes edificatorios de tamaño adecuado en relación con el entorno de la zona forestal de Vallvidrera.

Public residence for disabled people which places functional-type units at the center of the building’s plan. The rest of the building’s needs are then based on these units: residential, administrative, workshops, etc. The whole complex is integrated into the envi-ronment and aims to enhance the architectural aesthetics by blending in perfectly with the area’s landscape. The grouping of the residential units separated by courtyards allows forming volumes of buildings that are of an appropriate size in relation to the surroundings of the Vallvidrera forest area.

Se han fabricado e instalado el conjunto de cerramientos de esta residencia, así como el lucernario central, con montantes reforza-dos y extrusionados especialmente para este proyecto. Es remarcable el trabajo realizado para anular toda barrera arquitectónica, también en el ámbito de los cerramientos y zonas de paso. De esta manera se daba cobertura a las necesidades de uso del edificio proyectado.

We manufactured and installed this residence’s set of enclosures, in addition to the central skylight, with reinforced posts specially extruded for this project. The work done to remove any architectural barriers, including in the area of the enclosures and walkways, is remarkable. In this manner, all of the needs of the building’s planned use were addressed.

Ampliación del antiguo Hospital de Manresa para convertirlo en el centro sanitario de referencia de la Catalunya Central. La obra, realizada en diferentes fases, permite ampliar en 40.000 metros cuadrados este centro asistencial dotándolo de nuevos bloques de atención sanitaria y hospitalización, consultas externas, área quirúrgica y un nuevo búnker de radioterapia. Unos trabajos de ampliación que deben convivir con el mantenimiento de la actividad sanitaria en la parte del edificio ya operativa, y que acabarán convirtiendo este centro de la Fundación Althaia en un referente sociosanitario de primer orden.

Expansion of the former Hospital in Manresa to turn it into the benchmark medical center in Central Catalonia. The work, which is carried out in different phases, will enable expanding this medical center by 40,000 square meters, providing it with new health care and hospitalization wards, outpatient clinics, a surgical ward and a new radiotherapy bunker. This project consists of some expansion work that must be combined with keeping the health care activity running in the part of the building that is already in use. When this project is eventually finished, this center of the Altahia Foundation will become a first rate social and medical center.

Nuestra empresa firma las 566 unidades de cerramientos de la segunda fase de ampliación del hospital, entre puertas y ventanas de aluminio, con un sistema de fabricación con rotura de puente térmico y de altas prestaciones técnicas y acústicas. En total, cerca de 2.500 metros cuadrados que se suman a los trabajos en fachada consistentes en el forrado de chapa ondulada decorativa de aluminio en forma de diente de sierra. Un material que reviste de singularidad el conjunto de patios interiores del nuevo centro hospitalario.

Our company is contracted to build the 566 units of enclosures of the hospital’s second phase of expansion, including aluminum doors and windows, with a manufacturing system featuring thermal break profile and high technical and acoustic performance. In total, the hospital facilities will be expanded by about 2,500 square meters, which is in addition to the work done on the façade, consisting of decorative corrugated iron lined with aluminum in a zigzag shape. A material used in all of the new hospital’s inner courtyards, adding uniqueness to the whole facility.

Obra del arquitecto Toyo Ito. En uno de sus pabellones destaca el muro cortina ondulante formado por una estructura metálica sos-tenida del techo, sin montantes. Todo el conjunto ofrece una visión amplia y diáfana, con vidrios de grandes dimensiones sellados con silicona estructural sobre el terreno. Gran trabajo de coordinación entre el estudio arquitectónico y la empresa, para aportar las soluciones técnicas necesarias a los requerimientos del arquitecto.

Designed by the architect Toyo Ito. In one of its pavilions, we highlight the undulating curtain wall formed by a metallic structure hanging from the roof, without mounts. The whole complex is spacious and bright, with large windows sealed to the ground with structural silicone. A lot of coordination involved between the architectural studio and the company, in order to provide the technical solutions necessary to meet the architect’s requirements.

La obra se compone de varios pabellones feriales. Destacan especialmente los muros cortina de las plantas bajas de los salones situados en la fase 1. Se componen de piezas de vidrio de grandes dimensiones, con montantes verticales y sin tapeta exterior, ins-talados con silicona estructural directamente en obra. El muro cortina que viste la pasarela ondulante de uno de los pabellones está hecho sin montantes y con una estructura interior colgada del techo que da rigidez a todo el cuerpo y permite su sujeción, ejerciendo de estructura portante.

The construction consists of several fairground pavilions. Of particular note are the curtain walls of the ground floors of the halls located in phase 1. They are made of large pieces of glass, with vertical mounts and without an external cover, installed with struc-tural silicone directly on site. The curtain wall located along the undulating walkway of one of the pavilions is made without mounts and with an interior structure hanging from the ceiling, which gives rigidity to the whole body and enables it to remain in place, acting as a supporting structure.

Nuestra empresa ha desarrollado el proyecto de arquitectura en aluminio y vidrio relativa a la partida de cerramientos y fachada de vidrio. Respecto esta última, se ha fabricado e instalado una zona de 250 metros cuadrados de muro cortina, con tapeta horizontal y vertical. El conjunto de cerramientos, más de 330 unidades, está dotado de rotura de puente térmico y perfilería de aluminio de hoja oculta. Un sistema de fabricación que combina unas prestaciones técnicas muy altas con una estética impecable. Presentan una línea sobria con una pequeña moldura interior que da una apariencia esbelta creando un simbólico juego de sombras. Las ventanas se completan con un aplacado superior de chapa de aluminio.

Our company developed the architectural design in aluminum and glass on the group of enclosures and glass façade. With regard to the latter, a 250-square-meter area of curtain wall was created and installed with horizontal and vertical molding. The set of enclosures, which consist of more than 330 units, is equipped with thermal break profile and hidden blade aluminum profiling. A manufacturing system that combines very high technical performance with impeccable aesthetics. They present a sober line with a small inner molding that gives a slender look by creating a symbolic play of shadows. The windows are completed with superior aluminum sheet cladding.

Proyecto arquitectónico del estudio CPVA Arquitectos. Se han producido, fabricado e instalado más de 500 ventanas, así como los 6 grandes muros cortina que dan singularidad al edificio. Destaca también la instalación del conjunto de Brise Soleil horizontales y lamas verticales que refuerzan el concepto de bienestar que quiere transmitir el edificio.

Architectural project designed by the studio CPVA Arquitectos. More than 500 windows, as well as 6 large curtain walls, were de-signed, built and installed, giving the building a unique look. Of note is also the installation of all of the horizontal sunshades and vertical slats that reinforce the concept of well-being that the building aims to convey.

La obra parte de un modelo de ventana puramente arquitectónico que recuerda las antiguas carpinterías de chapa de acero plega-das. Su reducida masa de aluminio visto desde el exterior ayuda a dar a la ventana una línea sobria pero esbelta. Garantiza la máxima capacidad de acristalamiento dando absoluta luminosidad al interior de las habitaciones, un hecho de elevada importancia tratándo-se de un edificio para usos sanitarios. En esta misma línea se alzan las estructuras de Brise Soleil de aluminio, que garantizan luz a la vez que dotan de privacidad los espacios que la requieren.

The building is based on a purely architectural window model that is reminiscent of the old carpentry of folded steel plates. Viewed from outside, its reduced aluminum mass helps to give the window a sober but slender line. It guarantees the maximum capacity for glazing, transmitting absolute luminosity to the inside of the rooms, which is very important given that it is a building used for health purposes. The aluminum sunshades are raised along this same line, which give light while likewise offering privacy in those spaces that require it.

Obra de Dani Freixes y el estudio Varis Arquitectes. Destaca el trabajo en vidrio realizado en base a una peculiar estructura y un gran patio de luces central, de diez metros de diámetro, abierto al cielo, y alrededor del cual se estructuran las aulas de música y auditorios del equipamiento.

Project by Dani Freixes and the Varis Arquitectes studio. It is worth highlighting the glass work done based on an unusual structure and a large open patio in the center, measuring 10 meters in diameter, and surrounded by music classrooms and auditoriums at the facility.

El punto de partida de la obra era, claramente, su uso como conservatorio de música. Este hecho comportaba unas necesidades específicas en materia de aislamiento acústico, para garantizar el trabajo individual de cada aula, pero también del propio edificio como conjunto respecto a su exterior. Con el fin de conseguirlo se trabajó intensamente en un estudio acústico de la fachada para alcanzar todos los retos marcados por el arquitecto. Destaca el muro interior de vidrio, de forma curvada, que recuerda las teclas de un piano, y que da singularidad a la zona central del edificio.

The baseline for inspiration for this project was clearly its use as a music conservatory. This fact involved some specific needs in terms of acoustical insulation, in order to guarantee the individual work of each classroom, but also the building itself as a whole with regard to outside of the building. With the aim of achieving this, we worked intensely on an acoustical study of the façade in order to meet all of the challenges outlined by the architect. The inside wall is made of curved glass, which reminds one of the keys of a piano, and lends uniqueness to the central area of the building.
