かつて（物語の時点から500有余年前）大和朝廷に滅ぼされた蝦夷の豪族の末裔である少年アシタカは、突然現れた「祟り神」にかけられた呪いを解くため、遠く西方にあると言う神々の住む山を目指して旅立つ。そこで彼が見たものは、森を破壊しながら必死に生きるタタラ製鉄集団と、人語を解する獣達～荒ぶる神々～「もののけ」、そして山犬(狼)と共に生きる少女サン（もののけ姫・山犬の姫）であった。やがて山を守ろうとする神々と、神々の神である「獣神」（シシガミ）を倒そうとする人間達の壮絶な戦いが始まる。人間達の軍隊は長年かかって備えてきた石火矢や鉄砲で、数において勝る神々を打ち破っていく。そして獣神の首を討ち取った時、神によって世界が崩壊していく。

as society in general). FLCL is an exercise in

THE HEAVEN SAGA

A fifth movie came out in Japanese theatres in 2004,

Heaven Chapter - Overture (Tenkai-hen Josō), which is

supposed to follow the regular chronology right after the

end of the manga (which has not been entirely adapted to

anime yet) as a prologue to a new chapter. Toei

Animation first announced that this new chapter would be

a new animated series, but later Kurumada stated that he

wants the movie to be part of a trilogy. started with the

latest Saint Seiya movie, battle with Olympian Gods

Elfen Lied focuses on a mysterious and deadly breed of

horned humans called "diclonius", and the havoc they

wreak upon humanity.

The story begins with a naked young girl named Lucy

escaping under odd circumstances from an insular

research facility off the coast of Kamakura in the

Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan. Lucy manages to

nonchalantly dismember and slay a fair number of the

staff and guards with a form of seemingly supernatural

power and gets outside. A sniper is seen trying to shoot

her, only managing to ricochet a bullet off her metal

helmet. Lucy then falls off a cliff into the sea, bleeding

from her head but ultimately surviving and evading the

research staff.

more or less servants to humankind. The plot starts to

The story follows scientists Aki Ross and Doctor Sid in their

カカシ班は、映画『風雲姫』シリーズ・最終作の撮影のために雪の国へ向かう、女優富士風雪絵の護衛任務についた。しかし、雪絵は雪の国へ行くことを嫌がり、役を降りると言う。仕方なく、雪絵を強引に船に乗せ雪の国へ向かう一行。

途中雪忍の狼牙ナダレ達に襲われる。狙いは、女優富士風雪絵として身分を偽っていた雪の国の先代君主の娘、風花小雪と彼女が持つ六角水晶。

雪の国では10年前にクーデターが起こり、君主風花早雪が実弟、風花ドトウに殺された。その際、風花小雪はカカシと供に雪の国を脱出した。その後、風花小雪は身分を偽り、富士風雪絵として生活していた。

Taking place toward the end of World War II in Japan,

Grave of the Fireflies is the poignant tale of the

relationship between two orphaned children, Seita (清太)

and his younger sister Setsuko (節子 ) . The children lose

their mother in the firebombing of Kobe, and their father

in service to the Imperial Japanese Navy, and as a result

they are forced to try to survive amidst widespread

famine and the callous indifference of their countrymen

(some of whom are their own extended family members).

Setsuko eventually dies from malnutrition, and the graphic

nature of suffering and death is uniquely harrowing in the

annals of anime.

is to answer the question: "Are you living in the real

清太は三ノ宮駅構内で衰弱死した。清太の所持品は錆びたドロップ缶。その中には節子の小さな骨片が入っていた。駅員がドロップ缶を見つけ、「何やこれ?」と言って草むらに放り投げる。地面に落ちた缶から飛び出した節子の遺骨のまわりに蛍が群がり、魂とも思える光を放つ。そこからなぜか節子がでてきて駅で衰弱死している清太を見つけ、清太のところに行こうとしたがもう１人の清太がでてくる。また話の最中に、もう１人の清太がでてきており、幽霊になった清太が昔の自分を回想しているのではないかと思わせる描写が度々ある。

太平洋戦争末期、御影に住んでいた4歳の節子とその兄である14歳の清太は6月5日の空襲で母も家も失い、父の従兄弟の未亡人である西宮の親戚の家に身を寄せることになる。

TRINITY BLOOD

The series takes place in an indeterminate time in the

future, 500 years after an apocalyptic war between all of

Earth's nations destroyed civilization, when humanity has

reestablished itself. In this future world, the Roman

Catholic Church has become a major military power,

whose goals include the protection of humanity against

the vampiric Methuselahs, who war upon humankind (or

"Terrans," as they call humans). The seat of power is the

Vatican, an attractive place with traditional European

architecture; it is likely the same Vatican city in the real

world (albeit perhaps rebuilt following the previous war).

The Methuselahs are themselves another major political

and military force. Their capital of Byzantium (presumably

built on the site of the real world's Byzantium, now

Istanbul) appears as an elegant metropolis, surrounded by

a field of particles which filters out UV radiation, thus

protecting the Methuselah population.

At the dawn of Japan's Azuchi-Momoyama period (the late

1500s) two rival clan of Ninja, the Iga Tsubagakure and

Kouga Manjidani, are engaged in a bitter blood feud that

has spanned for centuries. The fighting finally ends when

Hattori Hanzo the 1st succeeds in forging a cease fire

between the two clans by conscripting both into the

service of Tokugawa Ieyasu (the man who seized power to

become Shogun and form Japan's first truly stable form of

centralized government). Regardless, hostilities and bad

blood remain between Koga and Iga, ensuring a tenuous

co-existence at best.

角川スニーカー文庫より計12冊刊行され、トータルで100万部を超える大ヒット作となったが、作者急逝のため未完のまま

終わる。

また、アニメ化以前にfmosakaの『カドカワ・サウンドシネ

マ』内でラジオドラマが放送されていた。これは原作

R.A.M.1〜3をドラマ化したもので、アニメ版とはキャストが

Full Metal Panic!, the animated series follows the events

and relationships surrounding Sousuke Sagara, a

professional soldier of a covert, international, anti-

terrorist mercenary group named Mithril, and Kaname

Chidori, a spirited, Japanese high school student that

unbeknownst to her, is more than she seems.

Due to his Japanese heritage and young age, Sgt. Sousuke

Markedly different in tone to the first series, Fumoffu

emphasizes the high school romantic comedy aspects of

Full Metal Panic! and focuses on the romantic tension

none of the mecha combat and political intrigue which

characterized much of the original Full Metal Panic!.

Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid is based on The End of

Day by Day novels, and continues the storyline of the first

フルメタル・パニック!

『フルメタル・パニック!』は、賀東招二著、四季童子イラストのライトノベル。富士見ファンタジア文庫刊。月刊ドラゴンマガジン（DM）にて連載中。アニメ化もされた。通称はフルメタ（雑賀礼史が『召喚教師リアルバウトハイスクール』のあとがきにて『完全金属騒乱』と表記したことを受けて、これを用いる人も存在する）。

初期は、「ギャグ」「コミカル」に重点を置いた "学園ドタバタド

ラマ" な『短編』（ドラゴンマガジン掲載話）、「シリアスな展開重視」の書き下ろしの『長編』といった形式であったが、現在では

DM掲載話もシリアスな『長編』の連載となっている。『つどうメイク・マイ・デイ』以降はまとめて読んでもらいたい意向から書き下ろしの形式となる。タイトルはスタンリー・キューブリック監督の映画『フルメタル・ジャケット』を意識したもの（ドラゴンマガ

ジン「連載」話ではなく「掲載」話と表記しているのは、DMに連

載されていたものの1話～2話完結の話がほとんどで、掲載された順

番で単行本には収録されていないため）。

原作の短編をアニメ化。そのためシリアス要素がほとんどなく、完全にドタバタ学園ラブコメディである。本編が現実の政治、世界情勢を織り込んだシリアス調なだけに、

180度違った趣向・演出がなされており、かえって笑いが

引き立つ。一部の回では放送時間30分のうち、前後半15分でタイトル名が異なる。アニメーション製作は京都アニメ

ーションが担当している。

今までの作品とは違い、舞台は「学園」ではなく「軍」。シリアスが中心なためコメディ的な要素は抑えられているが、前作「～ふもっふ」同様、学園内のテンポの良いドタバタラブコメ要素は健在である。グロテスクな描写がみら

れるので、R-15指定された。

Ichigo Kurosaki is a rough-and-tumble teenager who has

always had the special ability to see spirits. The story

begins with the sudden appearance of an oddly-dressed

stranger in Ichigo's bedroom. This stranger is the shinigami

Rukia Kuchiki, who is surprised at his ability to see her.

Their resulting conversation is interrupted by the

appearance of a hollow, an evil spirit. After Rukia is

severely wounded during battle trying to protect Ichigo,

she decides to transfer half of her powers to Ichigo,

hoping to give him the opportunity to face the hollow on

an equal footing. Ichigo unintentionally absorbs almost all

of Rukia's powers during the attempt instead, allowing him

to defeat the hollow with ease.

The manga tells the story of college freshman Keiichi

Morisato, who, because of his pure heart, has been chosen

by Yggdrasil, Heaven's computer system, to receive a

single wish. The angelic "goddess" Belldandy is sent down

to Earth to ask for his wish, and tells him that he can

potentially wish for anything that he wants, from

becoming a billionaire to destroying the world in an

instant. First, Keiichi thinks that this entire meeting is a

prank set up by his senpais, but during their short

meeting, he soon realizes that she's the only person who

truly understands and appreciates him. Being enchanted

by her, Keiichi wishes that someone like Belldandy stay

with him forever, under the condition that the offer is

valid (ironically, he does not fully comprehend the

outcome of his wish). The manga/anime follows their

relationship as they become closer to each other.

なってしまった高校生、黒崎一護（くろさきいちご）とその仲間達

の活躍を描いた漫画。『週刊少年ジャンプ』にて、2001年から連載

されている。週刊少年ジャンプの主要漫画の1つである。

単行本の巻頭や作中にたびたび作者が作っている詩が、使用されて

いる(他からの引用もある)。その詩がメイン読者層の中学生に非常に人気があるため、この詩集の発売を望む声もある。また、サブタ

イトルなどには比喩的な表現がよく織り込まれている（例：Death

SAMURAI CHAMPLOO

The plot of Samurai Champloo largely revolves around

Fuu's quest to find the samurai who smells of sunflowers

and the unfinished duel between Mugen and Jin. Mugen

meets Fuu when he enters a tea house where she is a

waitress and offers to take care of some ruffians in

exchange for food. Fuu agrees, but Mugen

characteristically overreacts and the scene erupts into a

brawl. As the situation progresses, he and Jin end up in a

duel that remains unfinished as they literally bring the tea

house down on themselves and are arrested and

sentenced to death.

The story centers on the life of Hideki Motosuwa, a repeat

student (rōnin) attempting to qualify for university by

studying at the Seki prep school in Tokyo. An honest and

unassuming teenager raised on a farm, he has little

experience with women, though his imagination and libido

are both quite active. Besides a girlfriend, the other thing

he dreams of having is a Persocom. A Persocom is an

android used as a personal computer. Hideki discovers

that Persocoms are commonplace in the city, as they can

assist their owners in many ways, but Persocoms are

extremely expensive and Hideki has no money, so he

figures the only way he will ever have one is if he were to

find one lying on the curb.

SHINOBI

Shinobi centers on the drama resulting from the war

between two ninja clans in the early part of the Tokugawa

era. In the film, Nakama Yukie portrays Oboro, the

granddaughter of Ogen (Lily), the respected Iga clan

matriarch, while Odagiri Jo plays Gennosuke, the son of

Danjo Koga (Minoru Terada), the powerful Koga clan

leader. While living deep within the mountains, the two

ninja clans have honed their skills to superhuman levels.

Unfortunately, the clans do not get along and are

forbidden by imperial decree from sharing their

techniques with each other. Viewing the two ninja clans

as a threat to his scheme for total domination, the

nefarious Nankobo Tenkai (Ishibashi Renji) plots to

intensify the rivalry between the two clans. Nakobo

creates a contest in which the clans are forced to choose

five of their best warriors to participate.
