元,較上年同季下跌 2.4%。

1. The total gross value of construction work performed by main contractors decreasedby 2.4% in nominal terms from a year earlier to $22.6 billion in the third quarter of 2005.

2. 剔除價格變動的影響後,以實

質計算,主要承建商所完成工程總值的

總計在同期下跌 3.3%。

2. After discounting price changes, the total gross value of construction work performed by main contractors decreased by 3.3% in real terms over the same period.

3. 以實質計算的工程總值,是透

過適當的物價指數去平減相應的工程名

義總值至二零零零年價格水平計算而

成。

3. Gross value of construction work in real terms is derived by deflating the corresponding nominal value with an appropriate price index to the 2000 price level.

4. 按工程類別分析,在二零零五

年第三季,私人地盤完成工程名義總值

為 65 億元,較一年前下跌 4.5%。以實

質計算,則下跌 5.6%。建造工程完成量

下跌,主要是由於一些大型住宅樓宇地

盤完成工程所致。

4. Analysed by type of construction work, the gross value of construction work performed at private sector sites totalled $6.5 billion in the thirdquarter of 2005, down by 4.5% in nominal terms from a year earlier. In real terms, it decreased by 5.6%. The decrease was mainly due to completion of work at some large residentialbuilding sites.

5. 公營地盤於二零零五年第三季

完成的工程名義總值為 50 億元,較一年

前下跌 28.1%。以實質計算,則下跌

29.3%。

5. The gross value of construction work performed at public sector sites decreased by 28.1% in nominal terms from a year earlier to $5.0billion in the third quarter of 2005. It decreasedby 29.3% in real terms.

6. 承建商於二零零五年第三季所

完成的非地盤工程名義總值為 111 億

元,較一年前上升 17.9%。以實質計算,

則上升 18.4%。非地盤工程包括小規模

新建工程及在現有樓宇及建築物的裝修

及保養工程,和非地盤的電器及機械裝

設工程。

The gross value of construction work performed by contractors at locations other than construction sites amounted to $11.1 billion in the third quarter of 2005, up by 17.9% in nominal terms over a year earlier. In real terms, the increase was 18.4%. Construction work at locations other than construction sites includesminor new construction activities and renovation work at erected buildings and structures; and electrical and mechanical fitting work at locations other than construction sites.

7. 按建築物落成後用途類別分

析,二零零五年第三季住宅樓宇工程佔

地盤完成工程總值的最大比例,其完成

工程名義總值為 39 億元,較一年前下跌

18.0%。

7. Analysed by end-use group, residential building projects accounted for the largest share in the gross value of construction work performed at construction sites in the third quarter of 2005. The gross value of construction work performed for these projects amounted to $3.9 billion, down by 18.0% in nominal terms from a year earlier.

8. 運輸工程為第二大類地盤工

程,其完成工程名義總值為 24 億元,較

一年前下跌 24.1%。

8. Transport projects constituted the secondlargest category of construction site work. The gross value of construction work performed for these projects totalled $2.4 billion, representing a decrease of 24.1% in nominal terms from a year earlier.

9. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the gross value of construction work performed by main contractors increased by 1.9% in nominal terms or1.1% in real terms in the third quarter of 2005 over the second quarter of 2005.

附錄甲 Annex A 表一至表五的註釋 Notes to tables 1 - 5

1 . 「 主 要 承 建 商 」 是 指 直 接 與地 產 發 展 商 或 聘 用 機 構 簽 約 承造 工 程,並 對 建 造 工 程 負 以 全 責的 建 築 機 構;而「 分 判 承 建 商 」,亦 稱 「 次 承 建 商 」, 則 指 向 主 要承 建 商 或 其 他 分 判 承 建 商 承 接合 約 的 建 築 機 構 。

1. A construction establishment is regarded as a main contractor (MC) for a particular construction contract if it secures the contract directly from the property developer or the client party of the project, and assumes full responsibilities for the satisfactory completion of the construction work. It is regarded as a subcontractor (SC) if it secures the contract from another contractor (either MC or SC).

2 . 由 於 分 判 工 程 在 建 造 業 內 十分 普 遍,一 間 建 造 機 構 可 以 是 某一 合 約 的 主 要 承 建 商,同 時 亦 可以 是 另 一 合 約 的 分 判 承 建 商。在本 報 告 內 的 主 要 承 建 商 所 完 成的 工 程 總 值 只 包 括 建 造 機 構 作為 主 要 承 建 商 合 約 中 所 完 成 的工 程,而 不 包 括 其 作 為 分 判 承 建商 所 完 成 的 工 程。不 過,分 判 承建 商 所 完 成 的 工 程 總 值 應 已 包括 在 其 受 聘 的 主 要 承 建 商 所 完成 的 工 程 總 值 之 內 。

2. Owing to the widespread sub-contracting practices in the construction industry, a construction establishment can be a MC for one contract and a SC for another contract at the same time. For the purpose of this report, the gross value of construction work (GVCW) performed by MCs covers only those projects in which the construction establishment takes the role of a MC, but not projects in which it takes only the role of a SC. However, SCs' contribution to projects should have been included in the gross value of construction work performed by the MCs for whom they worked.

3 . 有 關 分 判 承 建 商 於 全 年 所 完成 的 工 程 總 值 的 臨 時 統 計 數字,會 刊 於 該 年 度 第 四 季 的 統 計調 查 報 告 內( 表 一 甲 ),修 訂 數字 則 在 下 一 年 度 第 一 季 的 統 計調 查 報 告 中 提 供。由 於 分 判 承 建商 可 能 會 將 工 程 再 分 判 予 他 人承 造,所 以,此 再 分 判 部 份 會 在統 計 數 字 內 重 覆 計 算。因 此,這些 數 字 只 可 以 作 為 建 造 業 內 分判 工 程 程 度 的 概 括 指 標,在 分 析有 關 數 字 時 必 須 留 意 。

3. Provisional figures of statistics on the annual GVCW performed by SCs are published in the 4th quarter report of corresponding year (Table 1A). The revised figures are provided in the 1st quarter survey report of the following year. These statistics are subject to the effect of double-counting as SCs may further subcontract their construction work. Thus such figures only serve to provide a broad indication of the extent of subcontracting in the construction industry and should be interpreted with care.

4. Statistics on GVCW performed in Tables 1B and 2B are expressed at constant (2000) market prices. By applying appropriate 2000-based price indices to deflate the nominal values of construction output to the 2000 price level, the effect of price changes is eliminated and the series measures the volume of construction output reckoned at the price level of 2000.

附錄乙 Annex B 統計調查方法 Survey Methodology

1. 「 建 造 工 程 完 成 量 按 季 統 計調 查 」旨 在 搜 集 建 築 機 構 有 關 建造 工 程 總 值 的 資 料。統 計 數 字 用以 迅 速 反 映 建 造 業 近 期 的 生 產水 平 和 趨 勢。這 些 資 料 對 政 府 及私 人 機 構 在 制 定 政 策 和 作 出 決策 方 面 , 十 分 重 要 。

1. The aim of the Quarterly Survey of Construction Output is to collect information on the gross value of construction work (GVCW) performed by construction establishments. The statistics provide prompt indications of the current output levels and trends in the construction industry. The data are useful to both the government and the private sector in formulating policies and making decisions.

2. 這項統計調查是根據《普查及統計條例》(香港法例第 316章)而進行。

2. The survey is conducted under the Census and Statistics Ordinance (Cap 316 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

3. The survey covers all construction establishments engaged in all new architectural and civil engineering work, as well as demolition, repair and maintenance of immobile structures. Labour-only sub-contractors, who are mostly gang leaders providing labour on a job-to-job basis, are excluded from direct enumeration but their output is implicitly included in that of contractors commissioning their services.

4. The Central Register of Establishments maintained by the Census and Statistics Department is used as the main sampling frame for this survey. Besides, new establishments in each quarter will be identified to form a supplementary frame from which a supplementary sample will be selected.

5. All main contractors at construction sites, irrespective of their employment sizes, and other construction establishments engaging 100 persons or more are fully enumerated in the survey. As regards the other smaller establishments in the frame, a random sample stratified by trade and employment size is selected for enumeration.

6. 平 均 而 言 , 每 季 統 計 調 查 約有 2 0 0 0 間 建 築 機 構 被 抽 選 進行 訪 問,其 中 包 括 全 面 統 計 部 分及 抽 樣 統 計 部 分。為 了 減 少 抽 樣統 計 部 分 被 選 中 的 建 築 機 構 重複 定 期 填 報 的 次 數,本 統 計 調 查採 用 了 輪 換 複 樣 本 抽 樣 法。在 二零 零 四 年 第 一 季,本 統 計 調 查 抽選 出 一 個 由 六 個 複 樣 本 組 成 的新 樣 本 系 列,並 於 每 年 選 取 其 中三 個 複 樣 本 進 行 訪 問。在 每 年 的第 一 季,三 個 複 樣 本 的 其 中 一 個會 被 撤 換,而 由 另 一 個 預 先 抽 選的 複 樣 本 取 代 。

6. On average, about 2 000 construction establishments are selected for enumeration in each round of the survey, including the full coverage portion and the sampling portion. To reduce the incidence of repeated reporting by the selected construction establishments in the sampling portion, rotational replicated sampling was used. At the first quarter of 2004, a new sample series comprising six replicates was drawn and three replicates of which were selected for enumeration in each year. In the first quarter of each year, one of the three replicates is rotated out and replaced by another pre-selected replicate.

7. 在 每 一 統 計 季 度 的 末 段 , 本處 會 將 問 卷 郵 寄 往 各 被 選 中 的機 構。有 關 機 構 需 將 問 卷 填 妥 及寄 回 本 處。如 有 需 要,本 處 外 勤職 員 亦 會 探 訪 被 選 中 機 構,協 助被 訪 者 填 妥 及 收 回 問 卷 。

7. Survey forms are mailed to selected establishments at the end of each survey reference quarter. Completed questionnaires may be returned by post or collected by field staff of C&SD who visit sampled establishments to assist respondents in completing questionnaires if required.

8. Information collected in the survey is mainly GVCW performed during the reference quarter, which denotes the total GVCW actually put in place during the quarter. Separate information on work performed at construction sites, at other minor new construction work locations, and at erected buildings and structures is sought. For each type of construction location, a further breakdown into work performed by main contractors and work performed by subcontractors is obtained. In addition, main contractors at construction sites are required to provide information on each construction site, including GVCW performed and other site particulars such as address, client party, end-use of the building or structure and nature of construction activity.

9. 所 搜 集 的 問 卷 會 先 經 過 本 處職 員 審 核,再 由 電 腦 查 証 數 據 ,然 後 製 表。有 問 題 的 數 據 會 經 由電 話 查 詢 或 由 外 勤 職 員 探 訪 核實 。

9. Collected returns are checked by office staff and the data validated by computer before tabulation. Dubious data are clarified by telephone follow-ups or field verification visits.

10. 在 計 算 統 計 調 查 的 結 果 時 ,所 收 集 的 資 料 數 字 會 按 其 被 選中 的 機 率 反 比 例 倍 大 。
