    MODERN & SOPHISTICATEDCONCEPT ONE

    CONCEPT STRATEGY Create an environment that is

    sophhisticated and modern that feels high

    end, but aesthetically appeals to a middle

    aged target customer.

    DEMOGRAPHIC 25-45 well educated individuals and families.

    The visual modern influence or type,

    color, and texture will help the decor feel

    relevant and timeless, while the touches of

    sophistication will help it feel high end and

    appeal to the target market.

    COLOR & TEXTURE Modern hues in a two toned palete like

    shown above mixed with ample neutral

    textures provides a deep color story.

    TYPOGRAPHY Type is a balance between modern and

    sophisticated as well. For main headings,

    bold geometric sans serifs are used, and

    sub headings are in a classic serif typeface.

    Accent type with hand lettering in black and

    white feels like chalkboard texture which is

    an older process, in a revival right now.

    FEELING People will feel like they are getting high

    quality food and drink from a grocer who is

    current and capable of fulfilling their needs.

    CHILLED WINE CHANGE Frozen letters centered over frozen

    foods, and illustration in the same style as

    floral but depicting grape vines is done

    in a neutral-on-neutral vinyl with letters

    displaying chilled wine.

    to the valance, so from the front, looking

    straight on at the valance, you see the

    metal sides.

    SIGN SIDE VIEW From the side, you see the copper face

    and white text as the customer is walking

    down the aisle.

    EXPANDED VIEW This shows the layers of the sign and how

    they are put together. We took the liquor

    sign out, liquor is shown to represent the

    expanded view, and will not be produced.

    CHEESE TRELLIS Square acrylic piece with dimensional

    letters spelling Gourmet Cheese. Ten

    Globe lights hang down to create a unique

    waterfall of light effect.

    WINE CENTER STORE Metal hanging trellis gives the illusion of

    walking in a vinyard. Real cork material

    is used here, and the shape has been

    rounded out to represent wine corks.

    surface to a lustrious black counter-top

    immersed with flecks of silver.

    erased to label the cheese. Front view, side

    view, and perspective view is shown.

    inspired from the cooking school

    interior design, and are used on

    letters, and projecting signs.

    PATTERN To add modern texture, patterns

    are used. They have subtle color

    changes that help them not

    become overwhelming.

    touches give a modern vintage

    flair that people can connect

    and relate to.
