Psalm 85

I will hear what the LORD God speaks; he speaks of peace for his people and his faithful. His salvation is near for those who fear him, and his glory will dwell in our land.

Merciful love and faithfulness have met; justice and peace have kissed.Faithfulness shall spring from the earth, and justice look down from heaven.

Also the LORD will bestow his bounty, and our earth shall yield its increase.Justice will march before him, and guide his steps on the way.

Universal Prayer

Symbol of Faith (Nicene Creed)I believe in one God,the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth,of all things visible and invisible.I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God,born of the Father before all ages.God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvationhe came down from heaven,At the words that follow up to and including and became man, all bow.

and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third dayin accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heavenand is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in gloryto judge the living and the deadand his kingdom will have no end.I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son,who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sinsand I look forward to the resurrection of the deadand the life of the world to come. Amen.

Offertory Anthem

Lord of Wind, Lord of WaterKen Macek

Lord of wind, Lord of water, Lord of earth, sea and sky Lord of storm and Lord of silence, Lord of whisper, Lord of cry.Lord of matter, Lord of spirit, Lord of day and of night Holy God of all creation, save your children, show your might!

Your almighty hand above the tempest stills the raging of the seas.Mighty clouds, mighty storms obey your word.Stretching forth your arm, you have heard your servants’ pleasThe very wind, the very waves call you Lord.

Your command has silenced nature’s fury, all creation hears your voiceBy your will is tranquility restored.“Glorious is your strength!,” all creation shall rejoice.may every heart, may every soul call you Lord.

Voice Without a Name

Who are you, voice without a name: speaking from mountaintop and desert, thunder, the sound of your laughter, rainfall, the music of your promise, whisper in the breeze, gentle sighing of the wind, brushing the treetops, swaying through the fields?

Who are you, voice without a name: speaking from cloudtop and horizon, scorching, the heat of your presence, blinding, the light of your creation, stabbing tongues of fire, burning bush, flame of rebirth, cleansing and healing, soothing without tears?

Who are you, voice without a name:speaking from riverbank and seabed, waters which flow through the desert, gusing from rock and from the earth’s core, windstorm, flood and ice, land emerging, springs of life, vineyards and wheatfields, pastures lush and green?

The concLudIng rITesGreeting

Priest: The Lord be with you.People: And with your spirit.

How Can I Keep from Singing?Trad.

My life flows on in endless song above earth’s lamentation.I hear the real though far off hymn that hails a new creation.

No storm can shake my inmost calm while to that rock I’m clingingsince love is Lord of heaven and earth, how can I keep from singing?

Through all the tumult and the strife, I hear the music ringing. It sounds and echoes in my soul; how can I keep from singing?

What though the tempest round me roar, I hear the truth, it lives; What though the darkness round me close, songs in the night it gives.

The peace of Christ makes fresh my heart, a fountain ever springingAll things are mine since I am his. How can I keep from singing?
