Chopin's Etudes Part 1

I saved this as Chopin's Etudes 1. There is a 1 because this is the first time I will go through and write

what I feel leaving a lot of the technical terminology out with full intention of going though again in a

month or two and analyzing the pieces more. ho !nows this could "ust be a recurring thing to I willend up doing.

%verall I would say I li!e this etude. In contrast with 9 I would listen to this more often. The ending is

really what I li!e about it the most. In general though I am again found wanting to have the ability to

wal! the piano.

#o. < ;m%verall I would say I li!e this etude. This is a wonderful piece. )gain this is a piece where the emotion

is literally thrown in your face. It leaves the rapid movement underneath so that the melody can be

e*pressed to its full potential. I'm finding that I li!e the minor pieces more than the ma"or pieces butthat's "ust me though.

 #o. 1, )b$

%verall I would say I li!e this etude. 3urprisingly enough I actually li!e this ma"or piece more than theothers. I'm not e*actly sure why. It could simply be that I'm listening to so much of this that its starting

to grow on me. %r it could that the same theme is !ept while using a different base note in the !ey and

it transfers rather smoothly from one to another. #o. 11 Eb$

%verall I would say I li!e this etude. I have been battling bac! and forth as to if this is written as

individual notes or as a seuence of arpeggios. I li!e the idea of arpeggios more simply because it gives

a slight freedom from the written music to e*press the piece. That=s "ust me though. #o. 1 Cm

%verall I would say I li!e this etude. )gain the writing in minor has won me over. I really don't !now

the e*act element that I li!e about it but I believe it has to do with the right hand. %n second or twelfthor whatever thought I'm on it could be the syncopation in the right hand.

I have been at this for hours on end so unfortunately I'm giving up on writing. If I had more than fourdays I would totally have gone bac! and finished writing but I'll save it for ne*t time. 3orry >yle.
