Before you begin the piece use the Sostenuto pedal to hold down a C 1 above middle C. Hold this pedal down until you get to E. On section A hold down the pedal througout. At B you want to use the pedal to let the melody ring but lift up when there are stacatto notes. If you pedal on the staccatto notes you lose the effect of an extra staccatto layer of sound. At C pedal harmonically but don't pedal when the RH is play-ing in the bass clef.The pedal at D should be the same as B.
