CMP layering system

Il Layering System, ovvero il sistema di vestirsi a strati, è il modo più corretto di indossare l’abbigliamento tecnico CMP perchè permette di ottenere la protezione più adatta alla specifica attività outdoor che vogliamo praticare. Il sistema è particolarmente utile in caso di variabilità at-mosferica. Indossare più strati permette di trattenere l’a-ria, e quindi il calore, a contatto con la pelle. Per questo strati multipli sono più efficaci di uno strato singolo. Inol-tre la possibilità di ridurre il numero di strati utilizzati ci consente un immediato adattamento alla situazione con-tingente. Il Layering System di CMP non è indicato solo in condizioni climatiche fredde. Durante le attività aerobiche, infatti, vestirsi a strati permette di mantenere costante la temperatura del corpo. Un primo strato traspirante fa evaporare l’umidità prodotta dal corpo, mentre il secondo strato o il terzo ne mantiene costante la temperatura e/o protegge da vento o acqua.

The Layering System, namely the system whereby clothes are worn in layers, is the best way to wear CMP technical clothing, because it ensures the most appropriate protec-tion for the specific outdoor activity to be practised. The system is particularly useful in the case of atmospheric variability. Wearing several layers means that air can be withheld, and therefore heat, in contact with the skin. This is why multiple layers are more effective than an individual layer. Additionally, the possibility of reducing the number of layers used enables us to adapt immediately to the con-tingent situation. The CMP Layering System is not only re-commended for cold climates. During aerobic activities, in fact, by dressing in layers, we can keep body temperature constant. A first, transpiring layer causes the humidity pro-duced by the body, whilst the second or third layer keeps temperature constant and/or protects from wind or water.

Layering System, bedeutet, Kleidung in Schichten übereinan-der zu tragen. Mit dieser Methode nutzen Sie die funktionelle Kleidung von CMP, je nach Wetter und Witterungsverhältnis-sen genau den richtigen Schutz entsprechend der gewün-schten Outdoor-Tätigkeit zu bekommen. Das System erweist sich besonders bei wechselhaftem Wetter als sehr nützlich. Mehrere Schichten Kleidung helfen dabei, die Luft und somit die Wärme auf der Haut zu halten. Aus diesem Grund sind mehrere Schichten immer besser als nur eine Schicht. Man kann die Anzahl der Schichten schnell und problemlos an die tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten anpassen. Das Layering System von CMP eignet sich nicht nur für kalte Tage. Wäh-rend eines aerobischen Trainings kann man die Schichten so anpassen, dass die Körpertemperatur gleichmäßig erhalten bleibt. Die erste atmungsaktive Schicht lässt die vom Körper erzeugte Feuchtigkeit verdampfen, die zweite oder die drit-te Schicht sorgen für eine konstante Temperatur und/oder schützen vor Wind oder Wasser. Damit bleibt der Körper bei den Aktivitäten länger leistungsfähig.

This is the layer that is in direct contact with the skin. Its task is to eliminate the humidity and tran-spiration produced by the body during physical exertion and, if used in a heavier version, also ser-ves as a first layer of insulation.

Diese Schicht ist in direktem Kontakt mit der Haut. Sie sorgt dafür, dass die Feuchtigkeit und der wäh-rend dem Sport vom Körper produzierte Schweiß abgeleitet werden. Die etwas dickere Version hat auch eine erste isolierende Funktion.

Base layer

Il baselayer va indossato a diretto contatto con la pelle, per-chè solo così si ottiene la massima traspirabilità e si mantie-ne costante il calore del corpo, ma dev’essere protetto dagli elementi atmosferici. Il baselayer indossato da solo è perfetto per attività come l’indoor climbing, perchè permette l’istanta-nea evaporazione del sudore. Ma il solo baselayer non proteg-ge dalle temperature rigide. Durante le attività outdoor, infatti, il baselayer lavora a stretto contatto con la pelle assorben-do l’umidità, il pile ha l’incarico di mantenere il corpo caldo e la giacca esterna quello di fare da scudo contro gli agen-ti atmosferici. Indossare il pile senza il baselayer provoca l’immediato surriscaldamento del corpo. Il baselayer CMP è prodotto con un filato altamente tecnico, lavorato in modo da permettere la veloce evaporazione dell’umidità normalmente prodotta dal corpo. Il filato è inoltre sottoposto a trattamenti particolari che prevengono la formazione di batteri e ne au-mentano la traspirabilità.

The baselayer should be worn in direct contact with the skin, because this is the only way to obtain maximum transpiration and keep body heat constant, but it must be protected from the atmospheric elements. A first wet layer, in fact, causes the whole body to cool and problems that can range from a simple cold to hypothermia. The baselayer worn alone is in-stead perfect for activities such as indoor climbing, because it enables sweat to evaporate instantly. But the baselayer alone does not protect against harsh temperatures. During outdoor activity, in fact, the baselayer works in close contact with the skin, absorbing the humidity, the fleece keeps the body warm and the outer jacket acts as a barrier against the atmospheric agents. Wearing the fleece without the baselayer causes the body to immediately overheat. The baselayer is generally in a synthetic yarn, which is lighter and more breathable than tra-ditional yarns.The CMP baselayer is produced using a highly technical yarn, worked in such a way as to allow the rapid evaporation of the humidity normally produced by the body. The yarn is also especially treated to prevent the formation of bacteria and increase transpiration. The CMP baselayer is proposed in the Warm and Seamless lines.

Der Baselayer wird direkt auf der Haut getragen. Durch die Atmungsaktivität behält der Körper seine konstante Wärme und kan diesekontinuierlich aufrecht erhalten kann. Der Ba-selayer sollte aber vor äußeren Einflüssen geschützt sein.Ein nasser Baselayer führt zu einer Abkühlung des gan-zen Körpers und kann gesundheitliche Beschwerden wie Schnupfen bis hin zu einer Hypothermie mit sich bringen.Nur den Baselayer zu tragen ist ideal für z.B. das Indoor-Clim-bing, weil dadurch die sofortige Verdampfung des Schweisses gesichert ist. Der Baselayer alleine schützt nicht vor strengen Temperaturen. Während der Outdoor Aktivität sorgt der Base-layer in engem Kontakt mit der Haut durch die Aufnahme von Feuchtigkeit für eine Regulierung der Körpertemperatur. Das Fleece hat die Aufgabe den Körper warm zu halten. Die Jacke darüber dient als Schutz vor äußeren Einflüssen. Ein Fleece ohne einen Baselayer zu tragen kann zu einerführt soforti-gen Überhitzung des Körpers führen. Der Baselayer ist in der Regel ein synthetischer Garn, leichter und atmungsaktiver als konventionelle Garne. Der Baselayer von CMP ist ein hochtech-nisches Produkt und so verarbeitet, dass er sehr schnell die Verdampfung der Feuchtigkeit reguliert und damit die Funktion der Haut optimal unterstützt. Die verwendeten Garne sind antibakteriell verarbeitet und auf höchste Atmungsaktivität ausgelegt. Die CMP Baselayer gibt es in den Linien Warm und Seamless.

DRY FUNCTION

LINEA WARM LINEA SEAMLESS

La tecnologia CMP DRY FUNCTION permette di ottenere tessuti che favoriscono l’immediata evaporazione di sudo-re e umidità e la naturale auto-regolazione della tempera-tura corporea. Il corpo rimane quindi asciutto e in totale benessere anche durante l’attività sportiva più intensa. Inoltre, grazie agli spe-ciali trattamenti cui sono sottoposti, i tessuti DRY FUNCTION hanno proprietà anti-batteriche e anti-odore e garantiscono igiene e comfort in ogni situazione.

The CMP baselayer is produced using a highly technical yarn, worked in such a way as to allow the rapid evapo-ration of the humidity normally produced by the body. The yarn is also especially treated to prevent the formation of bacteria and increase transpiration. Technical baselayers, in fact, generally have a transpiration capacity of 50ml per 5min, whilst the CMP baselayer reaches 100ml per 5min. The CMP baselayer is proposed in the Warm and Seam-less lines.

Indossato sopra il baselayer, il second layer trattiene il ca-lore e mantiene il corpo caldo durante l’attività. Per questo dev’essere quanto più possibile aderente al corpo. I mate-riali sintetici usati da CMP come l’Arctic Fleece, il Softech Carbonium e lo Stretch Performance sono ideali per il se-cond layer, perchè hanno grande resistenza all’umidità e trattengono il calore. Un secondo strato in fibra naturale si rivela inutile quando il corpo inizia a traspirare, perchè as-sorbe il sudore anziché farlo evaporare. I pesi dei second layers CMP variano da 165gr/sqm a 285gr/sqm. È bene scegliere il second layer più adeguato alle condizioni me-teorologiche e al grado di traspirabilità desiderato e al tipo di attività svolta, considerando che maggiori sono peso e isolamento, minore è la traspirabilità.

Worn on top of the baselayer, the second layer withholds heat and keeps the body warm during activity. This is why it must be as adherent as possible to the body. The synthetic mate-rials used by CMP, such as Arctic Fleece, Softech Carbonium and Stretch Performance, make for ideal second layers, be-cause they are highly resistant to humidity and withhold the heat. A second layer in natural fibre is pointless when the body starts to transpire, because it absorbs the sweat rather than causing it to evaporate. The weights of the CMP second layers vary from 165g/sqm to 285g/sqm. It is best to choose the second layer best suited to the weather conditions and the degree of transpiration desired and to the type of activity carried out, considering that the greater the weight and insu-lation, the lesser the transpiration.

Über dem Baselayer getragen, speichert die zweite Schicht die Wärme und hält so den Körper während der Aktivität warm. Aus diesem Grund sollte diese Schicht so nah wie möglich am Körper anliegen. Die von CMP verwendeten Synthetikfasern wie Arctic Fleece und Stretch Performance eignen sich ideal für die zweite Schicht, denn sie sind sehr widerstandsfähig und speichern die Wärme. Eine zweite Schicht aus Naturfaser erweist sich hingegen als nutzlos, sobald der Körper anfängt zu schwitzen, denn diese Fasern nehmen den Schweiß auf, anstatt ihn verdampfen zu lassen. Die Gewichte der Second Layers CMP gehen von 165gr/sqm bis 285 gr/sqm. Achten Sie bei der Auswahl des Second Layer auf die jeweiligen Witte-rungsbedingungen und den gewünschten Grad Atmungsakti-vität und berücksichtigen Sie auch die ausgeübte Sportart. Die Faustregel lautet: je höher Geweicht und Isolierung, desto nie-driger die Atmungsaktivität.

Mid layer technologies and certifications

L’Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 è un sistema di controllo e certificazione uniforme per tutto il mondo tessile, dalle materie prime, ai semilavorati e ai prodotti finiti in tutte le fasi di lavorazione. Controlli e certificazione garan-tiscono l’assenza, sui prodotti finiti e durante l’intero processo produttivo, di sostanze chimiche tossiche per l’uomo e nocive per l’ambiente, sia di quelle regolate e vietate per legge, sia di quelle notoriamente dannose alla salute. Più un prodotto è a contatto con la pelle, più restrittivi sono i requisiti per ottenere la certificazione.

The Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 is an international testing and certification system which has become a safety standard throughout the textile manufacturing chain, covering raw materials, semi-finished textiles and the finished product. The tests and certification are a gua-rantee that no chemical substances harmful to man or the environment (or banned substances) were used at any stage of the production process and that the final product is completely safe to wear. The greater the con-tact with the skin, the more stringent the requirements a product has to meet in order to become certified.

PrimaLoft® Sport è una microfibra altamente tecnolo-gica. Progettata con la nuova ed esclusiva Convexion Technology per ottenere maggiore volume e prestazio-ni ancora più avanzate, questa microfibra è termica-mente efficiente, anti vento, idrorepellente, traspirante e comprimibile. Le fibre ultra sottili ed ultra volumino-se creano un isolamento con prestazioni elevate.

PrimaLoft® Sport is a premium performance insula-tion. It is engineered with the new and exclusive Con-vexion Technology for a maximun volume and more advance performance. This insulation is thermally ef-ficient, wind and water resistant, breathable and com-pressible. The ultra fine fibers create a high performing insulation without the bulk.

Lo strato più esterno è studiato per proteggere da vento, pioggia, neve e temperature rigide. Senza lo strato esterno, il corpo si bagnerebbe e raffredderebbe velocemente, spe-cie in assenza di un trattamento waterproof sul secondo strato. Il terzo strato deve avere un livello di impermeabi-lità, resistenza al vento e traspirabilità adeguato all’attività praticata, in modo da evitare la produzione di vapore ac-queo al suo interno. Questi livelli dipendono dal peso della giacca, dai materiali e tecnologie utilizzate, dal tipo di fode-ra, dalla presenza o meno di prese d’aria. Non esiste una terzo strato adatto a tutte le attività, stagioni e condizioni atmosferiche. Per questo CMP propone giacche outdoor in softshell con trattamento WindProtect, giacche da sci e outdoor con tecnologia ClimaProtect, che proteggono dal freddo più intenso, piumini da sci resi waterproof grazie alla laminatura interna al tessuto, e giacche con imbottitu-ra in Primaloft®, leggerissime e traspiranti. The outermost layer is designed to protect against the wind, rain, snow and harsh temperatures. Without the outer layer, the body would get wet and cool quickly, particularly if the second layer is not waterproofed. The third layer must have a level of waterproofing, wind-re-sistance and transpiration suited to the activity at hand, in order to avoid any water vapour being produced within. These levels depend on the jacket weight, the materials and technologies used, the type of lining, and whether or not there are air vents. There is no third layer suited to all activities, seasons and atmospheric conditions. This is why CMP proposes outdoor jackets in softshell which has been WindProtect treated, ski and outdoor jackets using the ClimaProtect technology to protect against the harshest cold, down ski jackets made waterproof thanks to the internal coating of the fabric, and Primaloft® padded jackets, ultra-light and breathable. So each activity has its jacket.

Die äußerste Schicht schützt vor Wind, Regen und strengen Temperaturen. Ohne die äußere Schicht würde der Körper feucht werden und damit schnell auskühlen, speziell wenn bei der zweiten Schicht eine Waterproof-Beschichtung fehlt. Nur so kann verhindert wer-den, dass sich auf der Innenseite Wasserdampf bildet. Diese Niveaus hängen vom Gewicht der Jake, den verwendeten Materialien und Technologien, dem Futter und vorhande-nen oder nicht vorhandenen Luftlöchern ab. Es gibt keine dritte Schicht, die für alle Sportarten, Jahreszeiten und Witterungsbedingungen geeignet ist. CMP bietet Ski und Outdoor-Jacken mit WindProtect-Beschichtung oder Clima-Protect-Technologie an, die vor sehr starker Kälte schützen, aber auch Jacken mit Füllung aus Primaloft®, die extrem leicht und super atmungsaktiv sind. Für jede Aktivität gibt es also die richtige Jacke.

Cuin: fill power is a measure of the loft or “fluffiness” of a down product that is loosely related to the insulating va-lue of the down. The higher the fill power the more air an ounce of the down can trap, and thus the more insulating ability an ounce of the down will have. Fill power ranges from about 175 cm³/g (300 in³/oz) for feathers to around 900 cm³/g for the highest quality down. Higher fill powers are associated with a larger percentage of down clusters and a larger average down cluster size.
