People Helper Principles
1. The personality, values, attitudes, and beliefs of the helper are of primary importance. Qualities of the helper include warmth, trust, acceptance, empathy, and genuineness as modeled by Jesus.
2. The helpee’s attitudes , motivation, expectations and desire for help are also important. We are not there to “fix” anyone; the helpee must have some desire to change.
