Introduction

Computers & Electronics World, a leading After Sales Service Provider, was established in Abu Dhabi in 1986. In November 2001, Mr. Audie D’Souza took over the operations of Computer World, focusing on IT related Help Desk Services. In October 2005, Computer World became a Limited Liability Company (LLC), with Mr. Saeed Mazroui and Mr. Audie D’Souza as joint partners, with a paid up capital of Dhs. 200,000.- Computer World provides independent computer network services, primarily targeting the small business market - companies with 5 – 100 users. Computer World syncs with the market by bringing out the current cost-effective standard and not necessarily the latest fad. Our cautionary approach has helped our clients with affordable solutions which are upgradeable according to the standardization that evolves in the industry, thereby reducing the total-cost-of-ownership for our clients. Our product line ranges from Personal Computers to specialized peripherals. Our core business is on-site

service contracts, where a team of engineers are dedicated for on-site support to our clients at their offices. We also offer a varied solutions, ranging from Internet Connectivity Solutions to Branch office Remote Access solutions. We have added website design and corporate identity, recently, as part of portfolio of services. A highly experienced and professionally managed team of competent product specialists, together with a team of certified engineers and support personnel makes sure that all services and solutions from Computer World are customer oriented and reliable. Our quality system is based on the same

ISO 9001 standards, which we inherited from our earlier phase. We continue to implement those procedures and will eventually apply for independent certification. In 2001 Computer World became a Microsoft Business Partner, allowing us to showcase the Small Business Networks and Application Strategy from Microsoft, one of the just two such companies in Abu Dhabi. In 2007 we were appointed Sole Agents for UAE for CADOPIA CAD Software, authorized resellers for BrowseControl, Internet & Application Access control software, and AVG Anti Virus & Security Software - now a Gold Level Reseller.

With a wide customer base of Corporate Customers as well as Small Businesses, we have been able to prove our ability to support organizations that depend on Computer Networks and Communications for on their day-to-day operations. We are also ideally suited to implement IT procedures of major multinationals, because of our experience in implementing such processes.

Although we stared in a very small way, we are now a financially stable company, with zero debt and 20% YOY growth, with a current turnover of more than 4M Dirhams. This success can be directly attributed to the faith of our long term customers in Computer World.

Business Computing Hardware Computer hardware always forms the core of any IT requirement. Although we are solution oriented company with focus on core IT Services, like help desk support, we do have a large VAR hardware business from leading brands like Hewlett Packard, Fujistu-Siemens, DTK, Compaq, IBM and others. Application Software

The correct choice of software is critical to any business. Equally critical is the implementation, so that budget constrains are taken care in such a way that the resources are balanced. If this is done properly, companies do not end up with unused expensive software licenses. It is important to remember that in a given situation, the hardware may be only 20% of the total value of a computer system. Almost all IT resellers can supply you software, but only a good IT supplier will help you reduce the overall burden. The UAE piracy law is very encompassing and in a lot of cases, information about licenses is wrong. This is where we come in. We have very vast and varied knowledge, with which you can save money,

implementing this legal requirement. We may even recommend and support free software, if that is what it takes to solve a client’s requirement. Telephony Services Being an Etisalat Business Channel Partner, since 2012, telephony is a very big and important

part of our organization. Communication services are in an advance state of automation. This has resulted in the overlap of a lot of facilities that used to be the sole domain of analog telephony. Inside Computer World

Our office in Abu Dhabi runs on a Microsoft Back Office SBS Server Premium 2008, serving as the back bone for a network of Windows XP Workstations, complete with messaging, Internet Access, a Corporate Intranet, backup and testing utilities. Most of the lines of Microsoft software is available for demo. Currently, for service, we have a team of 5 Engineers and 3 vehicles, so that any call can be attended to, in the shortest possible time. We have also started remote VPN and Win-Assistance based remote tech support for more quick problem resolution. Communication is provided by a Avaya VoIP PABX with analog lines, voice messaging. Internet access using Broadband ADSL, connected to the network by a Firewall. Because we are registered Microsoft MAPS Partner, the software used is exclusively by Microsoft – Windows Small Business Server, Microsoft Windows (currently Windows 7), Microsoft Office 2010. Demo facilities for most of Microsoft’s suite of software is available on request.
