Metal & timber compatibilityLead, copper, bare steel and green ar somechemically-treated timbers are not compatible with thisproduct, thus don't allow any contact of the productwith those material's, nor discharge of rainwater fromthem onto the product. If there are doubts about thecompability of products being used, ask for advicefrom our information line.

Maintenanceoptimum product life will be archive if all externalsurface are washed regulary. Areas not cleaned bynatural rainfall (such as the tops of walls sheltered byeaves) should be washed down every six months.

Safety, storage and handlinghandling safety - product may be sharpand heavy

it is recommended that heavy-duty cut resistant glovesand appropriate manual handling techniques or a liftingplan be used when handling material.

Keep the product dry and clear of the ground. If stuckedor bundled product becomes wet, separate it, wipe it witha clean cloth to dry thoroughly.

Handle materials carefully to avoid damage: don't dragmaterials over rough surface or each other; don't dragtools over material; protect from swarf.

Cutting

for cutting thin metal on site, we recommend a circularsaw with a metal-cutting blade because it producesfewer damaging hot metal particles and leaves lessresultant burr than a carborundum disc.

Cut materials over the ground and not over othermaterials.

Sweep all metallic swarf and other debris from roof areasand gutters at the end of each day and at the completionof the instalation. Failure to do so can lead to surfacestaining when the metal particles rust.

Sealed jointsfor sealed joints use screws or rivets and neutral-curesilicone sealant branded as suitaable for use withgalvanised or ZINCCALUME steel.
