PROJECTS:

The following projects were designed in Autodesk Revit 2014

FLOATING STAGE AMPHITHEATER

(2014) OFFICE BUILDING GREEN ROOM STORAGE BUILDING

All of these projects were a part of Sinclair Community College 2014 Capstone. The goal was to design a floating stage amphitheater for 1000 people and additional buildings that would help facilitate and organize all activities performed in the amphitheater. Floating Stage Amphitheater is designed in ancient Roman style, while adjacent buildings are designed in a style similar to the majority of Sinclair buildings. Also, the floating stage goes up and down depending on the water level, and is constructed to resist the hydraulic forces of a 100-year flood.

LAND STEWARD PROJECT GLASS OFFICE DUBLIN PUB ADDITION

Land Steward Project was inspired by a professor at Sinclair Community College who always wanted to live in the wilderness, or an environment untouched by human progress. The design of the residential house had to be sustainable, not harmful to the environment in any way, protected from vandalism, energy-efficient and had to be naturally lit. Wooden columns were used as the foundation to level the house due to a steep landscape and in order to make the house inaccessible from any other location than the front entrance.

Glass Office is a unique commercial building occupied by three companies or organizations in any fields. Each circle-shaped part of the building (including all three floors) would belong to a certain company. Every company would have a certain color scheme: red, yellow or blue. In between companies, hallways or walkways, the colors would blend. It is a project designed to combine a unique color scheme division of companies and accessibility to those companies.

Dublin Pub Addition was a project with a goal to design an additional space, dining area, adjacent to the existing building. Dublin Pub is located in Dayton, OH, and it has an opportunity to increase its revenue by allowing more customers to enjoy their cuisine and alcoholic beverages. As it happens to have some additional, not occupied space on its land, the owners decided to add a dining area.

The following project was designed in Autodesk AutoCAD 2013

RESIDENTIAL HOUSE

Residential House is the first project I had a chance to work on while studying at Sinclair Community College. The idea was to take a floor plan and a 3D view picture of a simple residential house, edit it towards our needs, and produce architectural drawings in AutoCAD 2013.

PROJECTS (Posters):

The following projects were designed in Adobe Photoshop CS6

LAND STEWARD PROJECT (PRECEDENTS & IDEAS)

Posters are best showcase platforms for your projects, designs, drawings, sketches, ideas, etc. Photoshop CS6 possesses unique functions such as editing photos, creating and overlapping layers, and others that make poster creation an easy and fun experience that at the same time resembles the progress you have made in your project. It is also a challenge because sometimes you have a lot of information to share like in the Floating Stage Amphitheater project with 4 buildings, and you have only one or a couple of posters. On the other hand, it makes you pick the most essential information to show to your clients.

FLOATING STAGE AMPHITHEATER (CROSS SECTION)

Floating Stage Amphitheater project (which included designs of all the above projects) for Sinclair Community College 2014 Capstone was an opportunity to show Photoshop CS6 capabilities. Adobe Photoshop was used to show the actual renderings and texture of the buildings due to the software’s high functionality to apply certain colors and layers and add realistic objects.

ARCHITECTURE (BOSTON, MA; ORLANDO, FL; DAYTON, OH;

LVIV, UKRAINE)

Since I was a child I loved taking pictures of a variety of architectural edifices. I loved capturing the history that buildings concealed, and the future generations that would marvel by their sight. When looking at ancient structures, one can pour into memories that each column, room or wall holds. I love that photography can make you go back in the past and imagine a different century or millennium, and feel a part of the past community or culture. An architectural photograph is more than just history or a culture, it is that breathtaking view that makes a dream a possibility, a goal a reality and life a paradise.

Photographs can sometimes reveal a person’s personality better than any personal statement or recommendation. Very few people see a little beauty in places where others see nothing, and that distinguishes a happy/positive/optimistic life from an apathetic/uninteresting/unexciting one.
