One of the best-known contemporary Czech designers. He is a graduate of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (UMPRUM) in Prague to which he returned years later to head the Glass Studio. His Cubism collection follows on from the tradition of Moser cut glass of the 1930s.

Cubism was a ground-breaking artistic style that influenced not only fine and applied art, but also

architecture. What was of most importance to it was spatial conception, the view from several angles. In the
