The office is an organised work environment where information is received and pro-cessed, and purely conceptual activities are carried out; an area, therefore, reservedfor cognitive/decision-making activities rather than for developing manual skills.Recent studies have shown that operator performance is strictly related to the en-vironment where the work is conducted, and have highlighted several risk factors:micro-climate, air quality, exposure to noise, unsuitable illumination and viewingconditions, prolonged seated posture, injury, risk of allergies - from bacteria, car-bonless copy paper, biological agents, etc.-, psycho-physical stress, exposure to bio-logical agents or electromagnetic fields, passive smoking or chemical substancesof various origin. The resulting effects - sick building syndrome, mental and visualstrain, etc.- cause discomfort and, consequently, poor performance.The solution lies in designing work environments with minimal exposure to risk fac-tors or re-adapting existing environments, by optimising the micro-climate, acou-stics, environmental illumination and ergonomics of the workplace. Although thecurrent regulations provide detailed indications concerning environmental controlof buildings, these are rather general (the traditional ‘one-size fits all’approach).With over 25 years experience in 70 countries worldwide, CBI EUROPE - in line withrecent studies conducted by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA)and in collaboration with the Urban Land Institute (ULI) - adopts a more evolved ap-proach in designing its products, whereby personal spaces are controlled autono-mously - which translates into effective, eco-sustainable and socially responsiblesolutions. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR INSTALLATIONSlight differences in colour and shade between one panel and another are dueto natural variations in the wood veneers. To obtain the most pleasing aesthe-tic effect, we recommend that you lay the panels out before deciding on theirfinal arrangement. It is also good idea to order an extra number of panels toallow for future replacements, since shades, colours and grain can vary fromone batch to another. All ‘CBI Sound Wood Panels’ must only be installed in in-door environments when the building maintained at a constant temperature.RESISTANCE TO HUMIDITYWood System panels should be removed from their packaging in the place of in-stallation 48 hours before installing the ceiling or wall, so that they can assumethe humidity of the environment. We recommend switching on the air condi-tioning in the environment at least 24 hours before starting installation.The installation environment should have temperature no lower than 15° and arelative humidity between 35% and 55% before work starts.HYGIENE AND MAINTENANCEWood System panels are easy to maintain and require no special maintenance.To clean, simply wipe with a dry cloth. Panels should not be exposed to directsunlight: like all natural materials, wood tends to change colour when exposedto UV rays. The polyacrylate treatment of the panels tends to reduce this effect.Remember that water and humidity will damage the veneering.

Consigliamo di ordinare un quantitativo supplementare di pannelli in pre-visione di eventuali sostituzioni, perché tonalità, colori e sfumature possonocambiare di produzione in produzione.L’istallazione deve avvenire in ambienti chiusi ed a temperatura costante.RESISTENZA ALL’UMIDITÀGli imballi dei pannelli Wood System devono essere aperti 48 ore prima nelluogo dove avverrà l’istallazione del controsoffitto/rivestimento affinchè il ma-teriale raggiunga le condizioni di equilibrio con l’ambiente da rivestire.Consigliamo di climatizzare l’ambiente almeno 24 ore prima dell’istallazione inmodo che il locale abbia una temperatura minima di 15° con un umidità relativatra il 35% e il 55%.IGIENE E MANUTENZIONEI pannelli Wood System sono facili da manutenere.
