PRECAUTIONS

• Do not pinch the rear wiring or harnessin the tightened part.

PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY THESE PRECAUTIONS BEFORE THE INSTALLATION

• Be sure to disconnect the negative (-) lead from the battery terminals.

• When passing the wires through thedashboard or other panels, use agrommet to ensure waterproofing.

• Protect the wiring with tape when it is passed through a hole.

• When disconnecting the connectors,be sure to grip the connector body. Do not tug on the wiring.

• Do not forcibly pull any car wiring harness. Rough tugging may result inopened connections, or a broken wireor harness.

• Confirm that lamps, horn, wiper and othercar accessories operate normally.

• Protect your car with fender covers, seat and so on.

• Use the correct tool when tighten-ing bolts or nuts.

• Before drilling a hole, check thatthe rear of the mounting wall isclear.

• Be sure to firmly tighten connec-tors and terminals.

• Before connecting the powerwiring to the battery, check thewiring connections, harness, etc.to see that they are properlysecured.

• Check body and trim near area of installation to be certain no dirt orscratches resulted from the installation.

1.a) Place tape to protect dashboard from

scratches.

b) Remove the cluster side panel (R) andcluster side panel (L).

2. Remove the center register.

6. Place tape (shaded area) to protectside cover from scratches.Remove the side cover (R).

5. Remove the glove compartment.

7. Remove the cowl side trim (R) andscuff plate (R)

8.a) Remove the passenger’s seat.

b) Remove the under seat tray

Fasten the bolt with specified torquewhen reassembling. T = 37Nm

10. Cut the tape. (10 pieces)

11. Route the CHANGER WIRE by usingthe conversion wire 08695-00370 toconnect it to the radio.

19. Install the SIDE BRACKETS to theCHANGER UNIT.

20. Install the CHANGER UNIT.Connect the CHANGER WIRE to theCHANGER UNIT.Then install the CHANGER UNIT to theBASE BRACKET.

21. Re-assembly.Replace all removed parts and panels.Be sure all panel clips and connectorsare properly engaged.
