Es psicloga y lingista con ms de 20 aos de expe-riencia en el
rea educativa. Es esposa de Karlos, su complemento. Es madre
afortunada de Paula y ta de estupendos sobrinos, todos manantiales
inagotables de inspiracin para escribir sobre el mundo de los
ni-os, que tiene su propio ritmo y su propia luz.
Su padre le regal el amor por los idiomas, por eso este cuento
en espaol y en ingls. Es interesante para los nios, como fuente de
curiosidad intelec-tual, ver escrito en otro idioma un cuento que
les guste.
Mara Virginia Barrs es tambin la ilustradora porque tuvo la
buena estre-lla de educarse en la Escuela Comunitaria de San
Antonio de los Altos. Es-cuela rodeada del encanto especial de
verlo todo a travs del caleidoscopio del color. Alejandro Otero,
Mercedes Pardo y Samuel Baroni conformaron la paleta inicial de su
formacin de las artes plsticas.
La traductora del cuento, Kristin Hull, PhD en Educacin de
Berkeley USA. Madre de dos esplndidos adolescentes y conocedora
profunda de la niez y sus encantos.
Mara Virginia Barrs is a psychologist and linguist with more
than 20 years of experience in the educational area. Shes Karlos
wife, her complement. She is The lucky Paulas mother and
great-nephewss aunt, all of them inex-haustible sources of
inspiration to write about the childrens world with their own
light.
Her father gave her the love for languages, so this tale in
Spanish and English. It is interesting for children, as a source of
intellectual curiosity, to see a story that you like written in
another language.
Mara Virginia Barrs is also the Illustrator because she had good
